After constructing a few more cabinets I have decided that they aren't that bad. I've had several more clasps break, but you can fix this by using a small drywall screw to screw the clasps together and directly into the plywood. A few more well placed screws keep the cabinets together quite nicely. Aside from that, they are pretty good. There are definitely cheap parts, but they are cheap cabinets, so you get what you pay for. If you have any questions, feel free to leave them in the comments below!
I think it just might be what you purchased. They have varying quality cabinets at RTA. Mine had better material. I have dovetail cabinets with soft close drawers from Jarlin. I didn't have whatever plastic you had for assembly. All of the stuff I had was metal. My only complaint was not having instructions in the box, but they had videos online. I paid $5300 for 7 cabinets. I'm very happy with my purchase.
The drawers aren't bad. Still holding up well and they pull almost all the way out allowing me to get to the very back easily. The finish is starting to get messed up from all my cooking, though. I think I'll opt for solid plywood in the future instead of fiber board.
I couldn't recommend a brand because I've only installed a few sets. Just don't get these unless you're okay with making some minor adjustments of your own.
Definetly wouldn't purchase them from that company, they're nothing but 💩💩💩💩💩🖕🏼🖕🏼🖕🏼cabinets, I was just looking at the GHI UA-cam video...I knew they're garbage cabinets

Six months later and the soft close hinges are failing on these cabinets. I would not purchase them again, and i will not be using RTA again.
@@frankpoth154 How's the quality of the actual wood? I can swap out the hardware easy enough on some of these.
RTA.com? I am looking into buying them for our kitchen. Is it a no go? Have you found a better option ?
@@SScogin In the video he showed how the plywood was splitting.

How about the drawers? It really bugs me when drawers have short sides or don’t pull out all the way. Making half the drawer unusable.

THANKS !!! Have you tried other companies since this video whose products are good?
I have not, although, I would always opt for all plywood after this experience. MFD and veneer just don't hold up well and aren't easy to repair.
What's cabinets do you recommend when I comes to RTA cabinets

Screws should not break, not ever, what are they, zinc pot-metal screws? Spend 1 cent more for steel.... yikes.
Yeah, the locking mechanisms look like cast zinc. It's not great.
Have you ever bought cabinets from Nuform Cabinetry? I'm trying to find info on them, and it's sparse.
Rip off cabinets!!
