I don’t like the comparisons with Star Wars. SW had the impact it had because is was a family movie so as kids we were initiated very very early and it touched us for life in a way. Dune is a lot more serious and intellectual (which I really prefer) but I don’t expect it to become the phenomenon SW was. It’s not for everyone, and that’s why I love it. It’s for me.
Such a great review on the movie and individual actors. I do agree, Chalamet is very much like a young Daniel Day Lewis. A rarity in todays age of cinema and acting. And the cast are all so young. Perhaps the new generation of A class actors? I’m excited to watch in the next coming week!

These films are going to be one for the ages, it definitely pushes science fiction and fantasy forward, just like Star Wars did in the 70’s. Joker is great but you can’t compare the cinematic experience to Dune part 2.
