Just saw these twice in Santa Fe, but it looks a bit different than what they're describing. The lights didn't disappear exactly, they were all stretched out in a line and then shrunk together to a point, as if the line shortened.
think about it like this, you have a bright ball of light that shines light rays in every direction (the sun) and its shining at a spinning sphere (earth) very far away the sun cant fully surround the sphere in light therefore some places of the earth are light out while others arent now imagine a satellite high in the sky that orbits around earth said satellite would peek out from the horizon a little after the sun has set and catch the sun's light (that you cant see anymore, its high enough in the sky to catch the suns light despite it being set already at ground level) and reflect the suns light down to earth thus allowing people to see the satellite this cant last forever though, as the satellite would eventually be in a situation where the suns light no longer hits it as it dips further and further away from the suns light and heads towards the dark side of earth and light stops reflecting off of it which makes it "disappear" in the sky, like in this video
My girlfriend's aunt has been seeing this for 3 straight nights, ALWAYS around 10PM Azores time. And today (19/08/2023), on the third day, she called us to go see it, and it pass at around 21h45, this time from a different angle than she saw the other 3 days and the spacing between the lights wasn't even as in the others times she saw it. I mean, I don't see Elon Musk speaking openly about this saying it is in fact Starlink sattelites so I still am skeptic about this explanation
6/28/23 i just seen a string of lights like this omw my way to work this morning which is 4:30am rn. They were moving eastward across the sky and slowly disappeared like the line was ending or shortening
Since when did satellites EVER produce their own light? Two things satellites do as they travel is 1. Reflect sunlight off their panels 2. Spin. If those were satellites, the light would be fading in and out as they travel. I call Bullshit on the Starlink story. Besides that,, you can see videos of the same lights as far back as 2 years ago here on UA-cam.

been seeing these lights in Colorado almost ever month since they started the space command and i look at these lights not as satellites but some thing else there to low to be satellites and way to long take it like this a 747 is around 70 feet long and at 30000 feet they look like a small cheeto so if you do the ratio each one of those satellites would have to be around 200 feet long i ain't buying the satellite theory i have also been seeing a strange metallic triangle a lot

We saw them in central Indiana at approximately 10:20 pm 8/12/23. They moved relatively slow so I ran to get my phone and when I looked up again they were gone. It looked exactly like a string of very bright satellites and that’s exactly what they were. Amazing to see!
Seen them last night in Arkansas and I watched them disappear into nothing. They were moving along and in the clearest part of the night sky they disappeared one by one into thin air. Then a few minutes later a single one came along as if it was tracking the line of lights. Very strange and didn’t seem anything like satellites.

From a distance we assumed it was a light tower for the planes and realized when we got closer it was moving with no red or blinking lights. I'm still freaked out

Due to the height of the orbit of the satellites, they are still in view of the sun. Additionally, because they are still rather low after launch compared to their destination orbit, they are visible to the naked eye when the conditions are right.
I've seen this but it looked like the sky was full of them some lines going one direction and some more lines of lights going the opposite way but in square formation in phelan ca it was pretty far up at night

BINGO. I have been tracking this things for awhile. It never crossed my mind that they are floating under the clouds... Which is extremely odd. Gravity should cause these things great trouble.... You know... Idk wtf is going on but this shit is weird. To say the least.
... there are no clouds that high up. If they are low enough to be below clouds they'd burn up in the atmosphere due to how fast theyre going.
