As a teenage boy in the early 90's I wasn't interested in East 17. However, looking back I fully appreciate how good they were. Love this tune along with many others they produced.
Absolutely same. Never gave a damn about these boy bands back in the day (I rather despised them, to be honest). Now as a man at the literal half of his life, I realized how wrong I was. This song in particular on the Internet now has the reputation of a »bang song«, which I think is not just. Listening on headphones, I realize the quality of the bass line, for example. Britain always excelled in music, and this 90s boy pop was, in fact, no exception.
This was actually in the soundtrack on the movie 'Kalifornia' and it can be heard during the film in one scene. This song is legendary. A masterpiece and of all the boy bands that have been around in the past 30 or so years This is the best song of them all.
In 1997 I was doing my Grade 7...this songs and those of it's kind have been the core of my soul, youth and upbringing. Now I'm listening to it and it seems it never gets old. Our times and music produced better people unlike today. Listening 2024 March in Kainantu District, Papua New Guinea.

Tony is truly talented and so witty that he deserved much more recognition, these messages deserved to be heard around the world in earnest and not as a vulgar commercial product. Tony and Brian had a great artistic fusion, it's a shame they didn't get along because of an ego and communication problem, to be manipulated by the music industry everything fell, that is a pity. Tony has really beautiful and engaging lyrics, he has great fluidity, he's an extraordinary artist, he has real artistic sensitivity. Brian has a wonderful, fluid and dynamic voice, he has great energy. All this mixture makes a beautiful artistic harmony and a beautiful reflection on life! all this potential gone it's really sad
Brian didn't write anything. You write the songs and they are massive world wide then you getting minimum 80k a.month in royalties the other 3 took a weekly wage from the record company.

Bitter / Sweet memories listening to this. I was 11 years old when it came out and this was the first album I ever bought. Right about that time the bullying started which had a profound effect on me, and the impact is still felt to this day (and I'm now 42 years old).
46 almost 47 here and these guys were my everything back in the day, I even forgot about A-ha (my previous addiction) when they hit the scene. Never thought I'd be one of those "the good ole days" people but here I now sit thinking just that but not in a "you don't know you're born" kinda way but more along the lines of "life was a lot more simple" back then and not everything was on social media and you could make mistakes and earn forgivness, no such thing as the cancel culture of today, christ I would not want to be young in the present day, would frighten the life out of me ❤
