Thank you Paige for this video!! I was fitted a year ago at Club Champion for a full set of clubs. New at golf. Purchased 3 wood( Callaway), 5,7,9,PW(Cleveland), putter(Cleveland). The driver was just too expensive to purchase with the other clubs so I've been using my brother's driver. After seeing this video, I will go back for a driver fitting and see if the original fitting still stands(Taylormade Stealth) I'm 68 years old and all over with brother's driver. "Have the club fit the swing".🙂

My wife and I recently completed a fitting at Club Champion for drivers and fairway woods.
I was amazed at how they could take our swing path, convert what needed to be fixed and create a set up for the both of us. I have been playing Cobras for over 30 years and have had several "fittings" at several golf outlets (not to name names):. But this fitting was the best I have had. Needless to say, after the fitting, I am no longer hitting Cobras :(
But a combination of Titleist and Taylormade :)

I got fit for my full set at Club Champion in NYC.. There’s no doubt they have the best fitters.. as long as you’re willing to spend $ for custom clubs, that’s the way to go.

I got fitted for irons at CC and LOVE them. Kinda spendi but well worth the investment. I love enjoy playing so much more. I made the decision based on Paige's recommendation.

If you’re 70 you should have enough wisdom to know that “fitting” is total BS for the ordinary player who just wants to get out there with grandson occasionally. You do realize that kids broke 80 with the off-the-shelf clubs of the 1970’s, right?

Actually a bit surprised by the fitting. Expected either a higher loft set or maybe different combos to increase the launch. Either way this guy bombs the ball, and was an overall great insight to those that have wondered how the fitting process works.
Some good gains. However at this speed there might still be a few more yards on the table. Curious what his attack angle was?

I'm all for club fitting and I agree that one should fit their gear to their swing and not the other way around, but this guy has got way too much club head speed to be getting such little carry. You can see on the screen that his angle of attack is down on every shot. I feel like an honest fitter would have told the guy to keep the "old" driver and work on hitting up on the ball before spending even more money on more gear.
Can't make money that way.
I went to a local demo day a few months ago. The guy told me my launch angle of 22d needed to come down before he could help me. Then a month later they had free fittings at a local course with the same brand. This guy tried a couple shafts until my LA was in the normal range.

Not a fitting question but I hope you can give me some pointers. I hit my low irons well (SW-7). As I go to the higher irons (6-4) I don't get height and they just become low line drives How can I get more lift with my 6-4 irons?
Different shaft (more tip flex). Bend to add loft is an option.
Move ball 1/2" forward in stance.
Hit ball with more clubhead speed.
Or just replace 5 iron with a 9 wood, or 4 iron and 5 iron with a 5 hybrid and 6 hybrid.
Videotape your swing from the side and behind and see for yourself why the ball is coming off of the clubface with a lower than desired launch angle.
Dude needed Bryson there to fix his swing.

Custom clubs definitely aren’t necessary, they’re a luxury for sure. If you ever have the funds you could always treat yourself to one club, like a driver. But I know even that can be very expensive!

Dude is hitting down on the ball every time. If he fixed that his "old" driver would be going just as far as the new driver with the down angle swing.
