I have no doubt when my mom passes she will join my dad even though they had been divorced like 20+yrs when he passed away almost 6yrs. ago. Even though she's been remarried for a really long time my mom still showed up to my dad's funeral & showed more emotion than his widow did. My parents grew up together as kids in elementary school & graduated as high school sweethearts who got married shortly after graduation before he left for Vietnam. They divorced after 22ys of marriage but always remained cordial with each other.

This message has helped me let go of more of my grudge. I’ve been celebrating the finalization of my divorce from a man who broke every rule in the book of marriage except one. After taking so much from me, the court system gave him even more! It was such an awful experience that I vow to never be involved romantically ever again. Ever. I honestly don’t think that will change but I CAN grow more but letting go of that grudge more. I still wish harm & ill upon him but I can grow in that area. More & more I literally have zero emotion toward him, just erasing him from 16-20 yrs of my life. I am happier building a care of unromantic friend relationships. I don’t think that will change.

Please do not let her negativity ruin your life just pray for peace on earth an accept that this new baby is a way to feel that special connection with heaven. Fifty five years ago I gave birth to my angel an listening to her say our prayers every night brings me that same feeling every day. She helps me now in so many ways. Took care of mom till she was 99 an she never accepted but we loved her just as much. She is with me still I know.
I was wondering about narcissist, what happens to them. My deceased husband's mother was a horrible narcissist and throughout her life caused nothing but pain and suffering to him and everyone around her. Does she just get a pass by being sorry and get to live a beautiful peaceful life in the next world? Doesn't seem fair. I was raised by a narc, married two narcs, had two narc significant others, one narc mother-in-law, and one narc daughter-in-law. Believe me, I know what I'm talking about here. They are weak people who are filled with self-loathing and lack even the smallest amount of confidence. Yes, they damage you until you figure that out. And you can't feel sorry for them or they will cut you to shreds. But here's the thing; forgiveness has nothing to do with them and everything to do with your freedom from them. Cutting them loose is another way of saying you accept the lessons you learned from the experience, and now you are giving them their freedom to own themselves. You no longer own anything except the growth. Any lingering resentments are anchoring you to their behaviors. Let them own it, they deserve it, not you.

My 6 year old son can actually see him and he would tell me when his around only like his laying on the bed..his asking for some food that I'm busy making stuff like that.
