Dior homme sport started off as a solid 7 that’s now moving up to a 10 for me. It wears so clean and citrusy without being overly sweet or basic smelling. The dry Down smells almost is if it was made to wear for a full day. It dries down to a dark but still fresh version of itself.
what you are talking about in this video also happened to me but i personally found that over time, those fragrances that i used to wear casually or very often and that i usually didn't consider "my best" or the most sophisticated nor remarkable (although i'd say they were all somewhat original and refreshing to my collection), ended up earning a spot in my faves and more importantly in my dearest for those same reasons. Maybe it's because i don't have that many fragrances (15-20) so i get to live more things with each one of them and maybe feel more attached ? Overall, what i wanted to say is that sometimes the apparently unremarkable things can become remarkable, and not everything needs to stand out or be overly complex to be held in high regards. Some examples of this for me were kenzo homme marine or gentleman cologne, now discontinued :( Also!! If you end up reading this i wanted to share my currently favorite frag, its called french flower from matiere premiere, it's a very tuberose centric fragrance and it makes me feel so freaking good, i recommend it if you havent tried that one :) would love to know your thoughts on it greetings from spain!! (tried to write this the best i could haha)
I have the same relationship with Aventus and stuff that smells like it. I don't like the DNA, or pineapple notes in fragrances in general, but I still go through samples of everything from Aventus to Montblanc Explorer just because they're easy dumb reaches that work all year round
Mine: Prada L'homme Intense. So good, but too linear for me to absolutely love. It's perfect for rainy spring and summer days, imo. But I don't find that I reach for it often simply because it's a little on the boring side. Guerlain L'homme Ideal EDP. Beautiful opening, but I just rarely find myself in the mood for it.
I agree… Rain Essence isn’t anything special or overly complex… But I really like wearing it… very easy and smells pleasant. Performs better than expected as well…

Ironically, my collection has grown to over a hundred, so since I have too much fragrance to wear in a lifetime, I probably should wear my most loved all the time irrespective of the length of time I’ll need it for… except I may not want to miss the dry down for those most well loved.
My perfect examples of the decent but often are Ferrari Radiant Bergamot and Zara Vetiver Pamplemousse. Very easy to wear, very cheap, very soft, fresh and clean. Doesn’t feel like I’m a millionaire but feels very nice.
I think I remember you saying something to the extent of... every fragrance is meant to at least smell nice. So, just about every fragrance is at least a 5.
There will always be some outliers with some people, but not for a lack of smelling good. Instead it is based on scent association, which is very personal for people. For example, a generally good smelling fragrance could remind someone of baby wipes, which they might hate, and thus they might rate it much lower.

I tend to want a streamlined collection, so I usually get rid of stuff that isn't a complete love. Though I have recently come to appreciate the utility of fragrances that are just a like. I may want to pick up a couple to fill out the collection.
Interesting video. I try not to buy fragrences that I don't love or at least like very much. However, sometimes, I get fragrance presents that fit this criteria. Examples: Bulgari Man edt (twice or 3 times in 5 years from different people LOL), Givenchy Gentlman EDP (100 ml bottle and a travel kit, in contrast, I bought the Boisee flanker because it really moved me), Boss the Scent Intense (another bthdy present). For example I wouldn't buy Eau d'orange or Eau de Mandarin but would wear them if I got them as a present. I would rate them probably between 5.5 - 6.5. Sometimes, Usually I give a perfume a few full wears before rating it. At other times, I get perfumes so I can wear them and decide if Iwant to keep them in my repertoire (Sung (7), Acqu di GEO Prufumo (6.5), Varvatos (10) etc.)
Unrelated but wearing desirtoxic again for the first time in a while, absolutely loving it, i remember the first time i wore it, from a sample it smelled super moldy to me, it had to grow on me but those are usually the best scents, thx for putting me on bro💯

I want to buy good fragrance for the summer, thinking between 40 Knots, Gentle Fluidity Silver and Burlington 1819 (but it's way too pricey). Today tried a sample of Forever Love from Pana Dora and felt really excited about it. It's fresh, citrusy, fruity and lil' sweet, really interesting stuff
Try Torino 21 the better from the ones you mentioned imo, for less go with the Eau givree or if you want something that no one Talks about is Janan Sport 👌🏻Ahh Artisan Blue and Guess Uomo Acqua something to Check out 👌🏻

Great video as always brother, I got Mont Blanc legend EDP. it one of my favorite everyday grab and go frags. My sister fell in love with it so much she wants it for her BF. Bulgaria Rain Essence is also a favorite for the spring and summer.
If I rate a fragrance a 7/10 or below it probably won’t get any additional watts out of me. Sometimes I force myself to revisit those if I’m chilling in the house. A fragrance has to be an 8/10 for me to consider a full bottle.
I have marked Habit Rouge L'Instinct as among my dislikes in Fragrantica. Seems to have some aquatics that I find a bit offputting, and I agree it is not related at all to the Habit Rouge dna. To my nose it smells somewhat related to Bleu de Chanel, but as if it was a pretty bad clone of it.
I like how bit by bit, one starts to weed out which fragrance channels are actually worth watching, and which reviewers are genuine.. Currently only watching Justin, TLTG and Aaron Terrence Hughes..
Bvlgari Rain Essence is my definition of simple not basic. Its not niche quality but it smells good and delivers on a relaxing vibe with that tea note. But i get that its nothing special to some

LV Afternoon Swim is one such fragrance for me. Simple, inoffensive, refreshing and easy to wear especially in the heat so I like it but don’t love it

I have all 3, but if i have to pick 1, it would be GFS. GFS is fantastic for warm weather.
