magearna having fairy steel typing, plus that ability makes it so strong. It literally penalizes your opponent for KO-ing your pokemon
It's like magearna lives for those 1v2s
Even with that typing though it is incredibly hard for her to work in this current meta.

You bring up a great point about the state of Pokemon content. Creators like you, Purplecliffe, PM7, MandJTV, Jaiden, Alpharad, PointCrow, and others make great, well-made, and creative pokemon content that's also very accessible for people who aren't already hardcore Pokemon fans.
Shoutout to all of the editors for these creators too because I find the editing in this space of YT content to be amazing compared to other similar genres.
I think also getting more well adjusted adults in to make content has been helpful. Few years back the pokemon content I got recommended by youtube could have fit right into a cringe compilation from 5 years earlier, now most content is at the very least presentable
If u haven’t already, check out FalseSwipeGaming and Pokeaim for great content on the singles metagame. Also Blimax is my fave cuz he’s one of the best players around and he hypes u up like crazy.

Its pretty simple, you just need to find a unique niche a pokemon can fill and build around its weaknesses
Its possible, but be prepared to make sacrifices and inflexibilities in teambuilding to make up for weaknesses exposed by the weak pokemon. For example regirock can be good, with the offensive potentials of stab rock, clear body ignoring intimidate and sandstorm boosts, but very specifically as a weakness policy trick room dynamaxer, which means trick room is necessary, which can be difficult to set up. In addition, being weak to zacian and ground types can make its 200 defenses a lot weaker, and at this point coalosal is almost always better for needing less setup, built in speed boosts in steam engine, extra fire stab and max volcalith's insane residual damage. But can it work and be fun to play? Hell yeah

Shift Gear for speed (and atk if u wanna be the rare phys mag), CM for special bulk and offensive, and in dynamax metas max steelspike as the best option for its defensive side. It's quite literally the easiest mon to snowball with

just came up with an idea for a cool combination;
Simple Beam + White Herb Shell Smash would bring a Sweeper up to +4 Atk / SpA / Speed without debuffing yourselves due to white herb curing the defense drops
A combination of this would be sth like Latios + Blastoise which could confuse your enemy into thinking your main focus is a rain dance team.
You could name your cat Katie custard! Katie custard creating calculations completing a competitive Cramorant

I like using magerna with alolan golem using galvanized explosion to deal massive damage to opposing Pokémon getting magerna a +1 to +3 attack boost. After that I use Pokémon which can do heavy damage with spread moves, and sand storm to break and focus sashes.

Well the pokemon card game is super popular right now, it makes sense that all the pokemon content is doing great. You can also add the fact that the new ones are right around the corner.
My team for laddering this season was Calyrex Shadow, Grimmsnarl, Kyogre, Zacian, Dusk Mane Necrozma, and Regieleki. I wanted to try out Magearna, but felt like she'd have worked in a Trick Room team best, and really didn't want to build one
This was my first time ever going in to ranked. I had to get the Master ribbon for my Ribbon Master Mew, and trying to go in without anyone else to work things out with made it kind of spooky.
I wish they'd leave SwSh's ranked open to everything after this season, seeing all these broken mons pushing the ladder is cool.
Yo wolfey, I’d really love to see this strat from you: gmax snorlax with sitrus berry and belly drum. First belly drum, activates your berry then after gmax and use snorlaxs gmax move, then ur back up in health

Actually since Magearna has good resistance i use it as a sweeper. It's also one of my fav pokemon!

Calm mind
Stored power
Shadow ball
Calm mind and shift gear is for setting up. Stored power is for good damage. If it becomes a base 200 power that's a 1 or 2 shot. And with soul heart ur SPA increases for more power. But if u encounter a dark/ghost type that's what shadow ball is for!
Ive used this strat multiple times and it works half of the time. The other half is where Magearna takes out 1-3 pokemon but that's still good. U can use this strat with the right conditions or moves. I can say ive sweeped alot of teams w/Magearnaaa
