I think the issue is a simple "great" as a response was not quite what Daria needed or wanted to hear. She wanted someone to straight up tell her whether or not she was a hypocrite for considering how she'd look with contacts since it's something related to looks, which Daria finds to be vain. Instead, Quinn went right into a rant about the different looks contacts can give you, making Daria feel vain by proxy.
Quinn's headache is likely coming from her brain's attempt to shrug off the anti-thinking barrier.
