And I love that. Matt Smith's favorite villain? Weeping Angels. Moffat: "Ok, here's a shitload of weeping angels stories for your run." Capaldi's? Mondasian Cybermen specifically Moffat: "Sounds good: here, have the most interesting Cyberman story in all of new Who." Then I hear in the news that Ncuti's favorite episode from his first season is Boom. Bruh.
I feel like Ruby not being a full time companion in those 6 months would make sense since I can't imagine her completely dropping her life and family to travel with the doctor, I hope that the scene from the trailer where the Doctor tells Carla that he'll keep Ruby safe explores this a bit more.

Tbf Doctor Who reintroduces old villains all the time and doesnt require you to have seen their previous appearance. And yeah he might not be the scariest villain out there but his 'deal with the devil' style agreements can lead to very interesting plots. Also he's technically responsible for the events of Turn Left but its only alluded to in one line of dialogue that i doubt anyone but the biggest of nerds like myself would recall.
