I've been dying to make a winter planter for years but we were living in a condo so I didn't have a chance to make one...until NOW! Yay! Today I'm going to show you how to transform an old planter that I had in the summer, into an elegant, natural and festive arrangement that will be sure to add some curb appeal to your home. And it will last all winter long!

Pruned my pine tree today and got the branches planted and watered in a raised bed till I’m able to use them this week 🎄🤗

What is the required maintenance for keeping those evergreens and other branches nice and green? Weekly watering?
Hi Caro, for my winter planter...I haven't had to add any water. If you notice the evergreens starting to dry out and turn yellow then it would be time to add some water to the soil. I live in Canada so the moisture in the air seem to be keeping things nice and green. Hope that helps!

Thank you for sharing this video, I was going to make a planter like yours, but how to keep it as long as it is? Do I need to water them?
I didn't have to water this planter during the winter months since I live in Canada. The branches were put into the soil for a few months but I would say if the soil is dry, then add some water to make sure the branches stay hydrated.

Hi! Thanks so much for watching! If you’re looking for the planter container then I have gone to Lowe’s, Rona or Homesense (in Canada). I also reuse the soil and containers from my summer planters which I just got from a local nursery.
