The Talking Snare Drum (Improv w/Ludwig Acrolite, Hats Keeping Time, Phone Mic)

Today I broke the spring on the DW 7g Series bass drum pedal I'm sharing w/a buddy (along w/some amazing ‪@WelchTuningSystemsInc‬ drums) at a practice space in Oakland so I got a little lost in my snare drum for awhile, heh. This is totally improvised- not planned at all. There's so much we can do with a good snare drum at one good setting/tuning, before adjusting anything (as long as nothing breaks, heh). I didn't get real w/rimshots and stayed really quiet for the phone mic. Just a small sample of the vocal range.
I really like the feeling of a high, tight snare but gotta hear some body and vocal quality too. Tuning adventures, heh. For most work with bands+artists I'll damp a lil. ‪@SoundsLikeADrum‬ , I was thinking of ya when I decided to dive deep into my snare, along with lots of drummers who do this stuff...successfully, heh ✌️🥁
