  • With the obligatory three errors of course! :-)
I haven't calculated it exactly, but I have a feeling it's not worth it.
Either it's a loss or there is minimal profit on the new fuel rod.
It takes a lot of materials and energy to produce it.
Will the smart people tell we if it is worth it?

It seems intimidating- but you just start with something very basic and next thing you know you’re here. My tips are to use guides in the beginning, but try to understand the concepts behind the guides and next thing you know you’ll be designing your own factories

Is it worth it? If you're only doing it for the additional power you get from the Ficsonium fuel rods alone? No.
If you account for all of the additional power you get from *BOTH* the Plutonium fuel rods AND the Ficsonium fuel rods? VERY YES! The free use of Plutonium fuel rods will provide the majority of the additional power! THAT is what makes it worth it.

Free other than the water. Yeah, I had 2 uranium plants which led to 3 plutonium plants. The 3 plutonium waste was good for 1.5 ficsonium rods per minute, which is a little weird. I set overflow to a mostly unused plant to eventually burn the extra .5 rods per minute. Can’t reallly clock down since I need to produce the waste, and up to 2 is too much work for power that I do not need. Guess I could sloop up to 3, but it’s wasteful.

What is your uranium fuel rod per min output? I'm looking to do this but even with alternates, but the time to get to ficsanium fuel rods you end up tapping most of the resources in the map and start having to convert things.

In my case, all the uranium ore is used according to the standard recipe. That means 108 power plants are running on uranium rods. (You have to cheat a bit, because it doesn't come out to that much. (I think)) 0.2 power plant per minute. Which means it takes five minutes per rod.
The residual material from those is the plutonium rod, which takes 0.1 of a power plant, so it's going for ten minutes. (54 power plants)
The remainders of which are used to make the ficsonium rod, which is the most uneconomical. A power plant can run for one minute with one piece. Enough for (27 power plants.)
      So the magic number line
      108 uranium
      54 plutonium
      27 ficsonium
      See the system?
The power output of the power plants is 2.5 Gigawatts in ALL CASES!!!

How many ficsonium rods do they burn/min?

A power plant uses one FICSONIUM rod per minute. (27 power plants use it.)

From what I can identify: northern edge of the map. North central part into the ocean north of the map.
