It’s so true that there will always be people who are in ‘better’ shape than you❤I will take ur advice and stop constantly comparing myself with others and my past self 😊
Yes I’ve spent so much of my life comparing my physique not only to others’ but also to what I thought I should look like in my head 😅 I totally feel like we actually look our best when we’re least fixated on changing our body 🥰
Hey, I got a little tips that helped me when I hated myself, it's can seem a bit weird but trust me it worked: put yourself in underwear in front of your mirror and say 3 things you love about yourself (if it's possible physically). At first it was hard but I did it daily. Now I know what I like and what I can emphasize and when I look in the mirror I feel totally great! People should try it too!
I loved this video! Considering my personal journey with body image, I agree 100% on what you said about having more mental space for hobbies!! I also dance and do yoga instead of forcing myself to do typical workout routines, and it definitely helps since it feels more like acquiring new skills rather than focusing on losing weight. I also discovered crochet this year and it has helped in that regard as well! I want to add that I really like your style content, during my childhood and teenage years I never gave too much thought to my style. However during these past few years I’ve realized that I feel better about myself not necessarily when I am at my thinnest, but when I feel like my most stylish and expressive self! Your channel really helps me with wardrobe inspiration. So thank you 🤍
Love this comment!! Yes it took me forever to realize that exercise should be fun and fulfilling, not something to do to punish your body. Also girl I need to get into crochet!!! I’m so happy you found my channel 🥰🤗🤍
Hey Julianna, thank you for making this video! As you said, we don't talk enough about body image, which is really sad. When I was a kid, I received quite a few negative comments about my appearance, which led me to struggle with body image and insecurity at the age of 11. Now, at the age of 15, I still struggle with body image and insecurity, and I realize the damage of the rude comments from others but also that I harmed myself with constant comparison I made. Social media also plays a major role in the low self-esteem, insecurity, and body image of (young) girls. We as a society need to take a step back from the hours we spend scrolling on social media and being exposed to so much on it. Again, thank you for making this video. You've really changed my perspective. I also hope your video will help others. Love your vids and thank you for your effort! 💕
Aww happy to hear that this video helped! I totally agree, people don’t realize how much words can hurt even if they’re just passing comments. I definitely plan to make more videos on body image and self confidence so stay tuned! 🤗🥰
For me, the problem is that's i have a style that i really like i mean really but when the time come to wearing it i feels bad because it's doesn't looks like i would, because of my body and things that i can't change or control (bones structures). I really want to love myself and my body but i find it really difficult, i mean, nothings that i try works and i can't continue without being the image i want for me in my head so i dont really knows how to do honestly. Its like there's nothings i can do abouts it and i just have to accept being this way. Anyway thanks u so much for this video ❤
I think the problem here is that instead of "fixating" on what we look like and what flatter us etc.. we're fixating on another type of person (that we're not) and keep trying to wear what they wear etc.. which will not suit us and therefore we'll never like ourselves and keep thinking something's wrong with us; when in reality we just need to find our look and what complements out features to look our best (I think I have the same problem as you😅)
@@homiekeen23 The worst part is that I think you're right. Even if deep down it's not at all what I wanted to hear, it's as if I continue to wait for brand new solutions that I won't have tested 😅 you raised an important point. It’s going to be a long road for us I guess 😅

That actually makes a lot of sense! We can sometimes warp how we look in our head so seeing our actual reflection can bring us back to reality 😄
Really appreciate your perspective, Julianna! Your videos feel like a hug.
