For me one of the most disappointing aspects of the Conservative government of the past 14 years has been its utter failure to acknowledge the seriousness of the 'culture war' and its unwillingness to fight back against wokery.
Yes, they've been crap at conserving anything, not least women's rights.
This is where the fundamental difference lies.
The Tories are broadly speaking left wing on culture - they occasionally appeal to the centre and right by pushing back in meaningless ways but at best they'll apply the brakes whilst maintaining direction of travel.
Labour is unapologetically activist at this point - it's always been the party that's particularly beholden to special interests, but being less and less interested in it's historic working class base, it finds itself going to bat for increasingly niche causes... Labour "moderates" like Blair (and Starmer) are nothing of the sort - they're simply smart enough to hide the turds under the rug and leave the consequences for whoever comes along next... Cultural and institutional vandalism is Blair's legacy, despite many not recognising it - Starmers is likely to be the same.
I think the Tories thrive on things like the culture war - divide and rule being their modus operandi.
So for 14 years Liebour have not have to work, If they win the election some of them will have to work which will come as a surprise.
"Nuts,Nuts" did not permit the fight back against wokery.
Life under a Labour government gets us closer to Sharia Law
How far down the rabbit hole are you lad
@JohnnyCin I'm screen shotting this for posterity. Just a matter of time...
@@amandaowen5091 Tories have been in power for 14 years and presided over some of the highest levels of migration this country has ever seen. They have done nothing to try and integrate and assimilate Muslim communities particularly making young Muslims feel more British. Yet Labour getting blamed for a dystopian future of sharia law. That's why
the original comment is nonsensical.
It won't be called Sharia Law, Labour will initially brand it something like "Community Choice" or "Community Arbitration", the usual 2-3 year trial in some place where it can't but fail, then the bill is put through parliament, a bit of royal assent later and we have the Freedom of Religion and Community Courts Act (or something like that), where communities can apply to set up a sort of 'arbitration board' for 'community issues' . . . blah blah blah . . . if something like this happens it will be a fairly slow evolution through these sorts of processes, and with a growing immigrant voting base it's somewhat unavoidable, you can't realistically import millions of religious adherents and think they will (or even should) have no effect on the political landscape. If enough people want Sharia (or anything, really) and have a strong enough vote, then they get it, democracy is as simple as that . . . but like I say it won't happen over night, if it arrives it will arrive piecemeal, over years or decades.
And letting our churches be sold off to the Muslim communities. Watch the you tuber ST AUDIT, he has done a video about a church in Hanley, Stoke on Trent. It was sold to the Muslim community by the local Council and they are turning it into a Mosque.
They have smashed most of the Gravestones and apparently removed the bodies. I was flabbergasted and cannot believe this is going on.
Tennant's comment evokes the comment made by Naz Shah that the Rotherham sex abuse victims should "shut their mouths for the sake of diversity". And you don't get more 'diverse' than that!
If you don't want this, vote Reform.
Don't vote fascist, vote Workers' Party instead.
Or vote for whoever has a chance of beating Labour, in the constituency that you live in - perhaps?

We were warned by the painter.
I’m dreading it. He’s more dangerous than Bliar.
How long do you think Starmer will last before he gets ousted by the lefty bed wetters?
Let's hope not Khan will replace him 😢😢
I reckon within 12-18 months. Then Rayner will take over, there will be a lot of squabbling and in-fighting--then hopefully the government collapses, another election is called, and Reform can pick up the pieces.
About 12 to 18 months at best (or worse)😱
Vote Reform to get OUR country back!
VOTE WORKERS' PARTY - THE PARTY THAT STANDS UP FOR THE VAST MAJORITY, NOT THE ELITE!!!!
My concern is this. Starmer flits from fashionable bandwagon to bandwagon, flips and flops depending on who he talked to last, and shown himself to be easily influenced.
Remembering him taking the knee for blm, not knowing what a woman is, pretending 30,000 women in the uk have a penis, i am amazed at how many will vote him into office with that kind of judgement. Not to mention his stance on net zero, DEI and gender.
Could it be mostly the hardcore remainers perhaps, hoping he will take us back into the eu by stealth?
When I was 16, politics was the last thing on my mind. I think I was in my mid twenties when I first voted. To be truthful, until Nigel Farage came on the scene, I had only ever voted once.
Many kids at 16 cannot make up their mind what career path they want to go down, never mind be fooled by dodgy politicians filling their heads with promises which will probably get broken.
I do not think teenagers of that age should be pressured into making decisions on who to vote for. They will find out soon enough that pre-election campaigns are full of ideas, ideas which very often do not get put into practice.
Agree! Not till I left home and was “grown up” did I think about politics seriously (so mid twenties too).
VOTE REFORM🎉
VOTE WORKERS' PARTY
Green policy = extracting sunshine from cucumbers
I intend to become a hermit for the duration of Starmer's Labour government. I shall stay at home and read all the books I've bought but never quite got around to reading.

As a regular Telegraph and Spectator reader and Spiked watcher, I'm just finding every article I read or see completely depressing. I dread to think what this country will look like after 5 to 10 years of Labour Govt. And I firmly lay the blame with the Tory Party. I will vote Reform, for what it's worth, put on my tin hat and hide away in a dark room until it's all over and Nigel Farage or Kemi Badenoch is PM.
It won't take 5 years 😢
It will start on day one. Labour will be an absolute disaster for this country. Dont be a woman. Don’t be white. Don’t work hard. They will come for you

Kier stammer stutters on any question.
That is because he lies in response to every question.
I don't think this election is over- considering 40-60% of voters not sharing with pollsters who they'll vote for.
Labour pledges to build 1.5 million new homes....and not one for British citizens I bet.
Of course not. Building homes for native British people would be racist. Our only purpose is to provide for the "New Britons", you might say.
And raynor stating that anyone in social housing with a spare room will be expected to take an asylum seeker in..😢 my daughter just said she will give me the money to buy my house if that happens
And all on green belt land. They are so many empty houses and buildings that needs reusing first.
Today, even Tony Blair is saying don't vote for them, (Labour)! Whow, it must be bad!
I doubt that. Blair was a Trotskyist at University. Starmer is a confirmed communist. They are dangerous left-wingers.
17:56 I’m only 38 and I can remember the window and water in the downstairs toilet freezing over as a child. Some of our winters were bloody cold and having those awful electric element heaters didn’t help. The ones where you needed to plan a day in advance for them to actually heat up. That was a council house in Yorkshire not that long ago really, maybe 25-35 years. We can’t have been the only family in a council house with those slow to heat electric heaters.
Although I'm older than you, I also spent my (1960s) childhood in a Yorkshire council house. There was no heating in the house other than one coal fire. I remember my Dad stooped and shivering at dawn in a misty living room (no double glazing, UPVC window frames or cavity insulation in those days) trying to find splinters that were dry enough to get it started. And yes, it was brass monkeys. Anyway, I'll stop now before this becomes a Monty Python sketch.
Storage heaters. Weighed a ton full of fire bricks and elements(electric) use run on economy seven only came on between 7pm/7am when energy use was at its lowest 😮
@@61chickens splinters? We used to dream of having splinters to start fires.
Register all Labour voters … then start moving an illegal immigrant into each of their homes.
The real problem is with the voters who have a complete inability to recognise that the parties they have always voted for have completely changed and no longer believe what they did. The so-called conservatives are closer to where Labour used to be, and Labour is completely barking and will finish the job the conservatives seem to be hell-bent on doing ( bankruptcy or civil war or both).
We need to differentiate group rights from individual rights. There are no 'group' rights unless they are universal, if there is competition then it is not right! Rights are universal or they are not rights, but wrongs!
The day David Tennants career died.
I don't think so.
People have been worried about the sewage pollution in rivers and sea. Well why are they not worried about the sewage coming out of Sir Starmer mouth.
Sir Flipflopalot
If you want to know if people really believe in Net Zero and the climate "emergency", judge them on their deeds, not their words. How many have transitioned to a carbon neutral lifestyle? What level of personal sacrifice have they made for this higher cause which is an "emergency"?
I'm going to guess that 99.% haven't changed a thing. The other 1% have put in heat pumps, ground source heating, solar panels etc because they care deeply about the survival of the planet...... and they can afford it! Apologies for my cynicism and sarcasm.
carla denyer thinks international travel is fine so long as you can self identify on your passport,

Heaven help us Starmer is a danger
Penny Mordant is a true believer, unfortunately!
Labour have without doubt 'fought' the laziest General Election campaign I've ever been unfortunate enough to witness.. They've given nothing more than vague hints at their 'policies' and have just sat back waiting to take power.. Yes, the Tories have had 14 years to solve the UK's problems and have failed, but equally Labour have had the same 14 years to watch the Tories' many mistakes and come up with their own solid policies to achieve the same, yet they clearly haven't bothered.. So my question is, What the hell has the Labour opposition been doing for the last 14 years ?.. What have we been paying Labour for ?.. The Tories might have been utterly abysmal, but at least they can say they've had a country to run, even if they did it badly..
The UK, under Labour, will be hell.
Love Julia 💜
IF ONLY THE TOOL MAKER, PULLED HIS SPANNER OUT.
I fear many of Labour's potential policies will create more division in communities, for it seems to me there will always be an aggrieved party in the equation. This becomes a problem when the aggrieved is a majority. I see stormy waters ahead.
‘ Far more significant was Starmer’s growing enthusiasm, from the 1980s onwards, for international and human-rights law, especially the European Convention on Human Rights. As he puts it himself: ‘[Human-rights law] gave me a method, a structure and framework, by which I could test propositions, and it brought politics into the law for me.’ ‘ - Tim Black of Spiked.
Starmer's justice is not blind, it's politicised.
Unfortunately, its politics are those of the ruling class.
Great conversation….i don’t like David tenant either…
Some people DO like him.
VOTE REFORM PPL TO GET BACK TO NORMALCY

Heat pumps are rubbish. To be efficient the building needs to be air tight. No air flow equals mould problems.
You are laughing about these things but the thought of the next five years and the future of my country gives me great anxiety!
Another great show, keep up the good work
'TO STARMER'. It means to keep changing your mind and acting as though you think you might be Tony Blair (not Lionel!)
I’d have voted for Lionel (never did for Tony).
Starmer is a million times worse than Tony Blair ever knew how to be. Tony Blair took us into the Iraq War. Beware that Starmer doesn't take us into an even bigger one!
The culture war is nothing compared to the explosion of food banks, energy poverty, homelessness, paucity of healthcare and dentistry. As for democracy, the Tories have already removed workers rights.
It's called blasphemy laws
Love you guys. Love Julia. 👍🏻
Vote Reform or the Uk will burn under Labour.

What would happen to a woMAN who is "legally" a woman and travels to a muslim country, and that person mixes with women? If it gets found out (s)he is a (fully functioning) man after mixing with women - well, need I say more! Come to think of it, that could happen in some communities in the UK.

Heat pumps will definitely help net zero because no one can afford to turn them on. Mine costs nearly £1,000 per month in the winter.

Yeah fifties up to the seventies i didnt know what central heating was. Oil heater in outside toilet to stop it freezing , frozen windows inside ,coal fired back boiler to heat water .
Why does tennant have a 'non-binary' child i wonder 🤔
Because, all his celebrity mates do. Celebrities are obsessed with having them and it’s keeping up with the Jones’ syndrome.
