Great breakdown as always. I bet you couldn’t wait to go thru the film on this game. What a performance by the whole team. Ward is a dawg he just put us back on the map. Go CANES 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻
Florida had only 261 yds and 190 without the big run. 529 yds for the first game bodes well for the rest of the season. If we can find a little luck and stay healthy, this offense will be humming by mid-season. Oh yeah, the defense is pretty good as well!!! Go Canes!!!
Miami beat that azz. I thought I was living in the year 2000. I don’t remember Miami having a QB like this since Gino Toretta or Vinnie Testeverde…Heisman winners! Cam is on his way. If he dominates this easy schedule he’ll be in NY at least. Miami should also have a good enough record for Ward to win it. As a Miami fan I’m finally confident about my team.
Huh? Gino? He was little over a 55% passer who just threw rainbow passes where Copeland, Thomas or Williams mostly did the rest. Cam is a legit NFL caliber QB throwing all the throws that the scouts expect you to throw....
Good breakdown, Ro. Cam Ward had a really good performance. Who knew that sending more than 3 recievers on a pass play is a good idea. SMH. What was Dawson doing last year. I know Arroyo was not available, but you could've gone 4 wide more often.
On the 1st IF offensive play you highlighted, there's a UF blocker 3-4 yards downfield. I couldn't tell, I rewatched it & looks like he started from a TE formation, but he looks more like an O-lineman & what appears to be #75. If I see it correctly, it shouldn't have counted.
Great show Ro - I hope Mario is working on the 2025 QB already - This is what Miami has been missing, the Dominant NFL caliber QB. Maybe we can take Florida's QB away next season. Lagway can play why would he stay with those looser's lol.
17:44 this question is for all my former OLBs, SE, WE, or any line of scrimmage LBs. Are we really going to ignore the fact that #11(Austin) lost contain on this play and never set the edge??? The strong side TE didn't even have to work to turn him inside. I can't believe the film study highlighted a S and what gap he took and never once mentioned the OLB responsibility on this play. The minute #11 lost containment the likelihood of that play being a huge play, shot up considerably. Even if the S took the proper gap the advantage was still with the FREE pulling G and C combo along with a good RB
@@ALCanes73 film study. That’s generous. It’s more talking with fans and having fun with it. But trust. I’m ok and fully know the human propensity to focus on negatives instead of positives. 😎
@@obblegend-romanmarciante1805 I wasn't coming at you. Maybe I should have phrased what I said better. It seemed on that play either 11 didn't set the edge or Guidry was out schemed by calling for 11 and the DT to stunt on that play. I just think the Safety play was secondary to that
Great win. Lots of talent, execution, and heart. But, that's a weak fla team with a below average qb. I can't wait for gtach, state, and Louisville. We owe them!
The Gators TD run was all on Wesley Bissainthe. It was his responsibility to protect the edge and push back inside where the safety would have cleaned up. Wesley has been making this mistake since he got here. Coaches need to start holding him accountable and bench if he continues to be a liability on the outside.
SMH. No, it wasn't. I played linebacker and coached before, so think before you respond. The linebacker is not the force defender in this play. He's the overhang defender. The safety is the force defender. It was on the safety. I'm gonna hold you accountable for this comment. Go to the bench.🤦🏻♂️
@@roam305 If you did know what you were talking about then you would not have made the original comment. In what world is the DB that is not blitzing, supposed to be anything other than the force player? It's never too late to say you were wrong.
@@dennislopez1272 go back and look at the angle that both Wesley and the Safety took. Wesley shot straight to the outside only to try to under cut the block to the inside making him lose his outside leverage while the Saftey went straight down hill. Will is responsible for outside contain. He has a bad habit of trying undercutting blocks. Sometimes that works because he's fast enough to get a TFL. This time it didnt.
@roam305 No, he isn't, dude. The Will to that side was outside leverage of the tackle. Look at their alignments. Jaden Harris was inside leverage to the tight end . The B gap was supposed to be covered by the tackle since they stunted with the end. Look at it again. Tackle got caught in the wash (which he can't do, so he also didn't play it well). If that happens, Harris must check for the cut back (B gap) because he's farthest from the LOS. Then scrape to the outside (D gap, alley). He took a bad angle, shot the B gap and could not scrape over. . The linebacker is supposed to engage the pulling lineman. There's literally no one else to that side to take the C Gap. EDIT: FYI, IMO, It was a bad call by the DC. The OC created a numbers advantage to that side (4 offensive players to 3 defenders). Our DC better learn from that cause Mike Norvell will have a field day since this is his favorite run play against us. EDIT EDIT: The only way you are right and I am wrong is if Wes was not lined up properly pre snap. Which I would gladly own. He would at least be inside leverage to the TE. Which is possible. EDIT EDIT EDIT: It's not a big deal. Have a good one.
We've never had a QB like Ward. The way he pulled the safety to pass to Restrepro..... just beautiful.
That throw to the back of the end zone. Is all arm and core
Great video 🎉. I just found you here. Thanks for breaking it down for us. Miami looks great 😃. Go Canes 🎉

This game was FUN to watch.
Cam was throwing darts the whole game. That little back foot lob to 9th year senior for a TD was epic.
Great job, Ro. I get the feeling that this year's game film is going to be a lot more fun to go thru.👊
Thanks Roman, love these as always. What an opening game!
So glad sotg is back! Go Canes!

Great analysis overall!
