Labor to use $469 million of NDIS budget to ‘stop people defrauding the NDIS’

- Sky News host Caleb Bond says Labor’s pledge to use $469 million to crack down on fraud and exploitation in the NDIS shows it is “hardly a working system”.
“Then of course we had, to draw it all out, the NDIS, which keeps ballooning out, and out, and out, it will be $60 billion a year within a few years’ time,” Mr Bond said.
“So they are spending $469 million which is nearly ten per cent of the NDIS budget to stop people defrauding the NDIS, I mean it is hardly a working system.”
$300 power bill rebate was fine two years ago. Now it should be at least $1000.
Easily. My last bill was up $250 same amount of power used this time last billing cycle sp it's not me! It's paying for this renewable rubbish.

The energy companies will just keep increasing the price.

The only thing the budget does for me is rent relief. The 300 go to the electricity companys etc. Yet prices keep going up. Go figure.

@@bogan-slayer7469 my mum pays for that because along with her internet, phone and streaming service package it costs her almost nothing to add another connection.
@@bogan-slayer7469 Besides, I'm basically house bound. Without internet I'd go absolutely nuts, so yes, more important that food.

That is good as only criminals do fraud.
I think the people that are abusing the NDIS is the gardeners and so forth that see NDIS and think they can charge the world. To have my front and rear garden mowed thru NDIS it costs them $550 yet if NDIS isn’t brought up then the cost for the same job is between $50-$100 yet it’s us people on the NDIS that cop the blame.
I asked for help getting a job.
They set up one interveiw and taxi money.
The taxi money was more than the job was going to pay, and not enough to get there.
The job was 3 hours away, 7am start.
That taxi money is the only help they've ever given.

My partner is on NDIS. I've had loads of experience with support workers. They often seem to have an attitude that it's government money and there to be used and better get your chunk of it b4 it goes away. They don't see it as the participants money or see that they are exploiting anything. It's pretty gross tbh. Coz they do jack up their prices, they do often abuse and exploit participants. And often the participants are not believed or supported with their claims.
Like I could on all day about this. It's a farce if you ask me.
But yes the op is correct. The worker are price gauging.
I think that it's easy to pay taxes as long as you pretend that you paid them and then never pay them
$300 what a joke, look at your bills people, $300 is a drop in the ocean, High tax, low IQ budget that maintains the huge cost of government which is where the cuts need to start, 50% of the public service needs to go, it adds no value
