Impulse is hollowing out a mountain this season! You should talk to him about maybe receiving a stack of stone for ever stack you remove for him? Or work out a bulk buy
For the final drop, I'd suggest some sort of a wooden "elevator" - platforms on ropes. It won't actually get you down there, obviously, but it'd look great in that spot... and its not like you won't be flying all the time anyway.
@@sigma.JPG1 maybe he can use vines as an emergency way out and some water that looks like a result of a leak to get in, also a good opportunity to detail the area by making it look old

3:20 the other egg was on a floating item frame that was on the leaves you broke, you can see it sticking out of the chest to your right. It popped off at the same time you hit the other item frame
Iskall fun idea: at the end of the episode when you do your outro, what if you walk from the top of your base to the bottom along the paths you build, and see how it gets longer over time! I have a feeling you may end up flying down into your base more often, so this will be a good way to get use out of the paths you build and showcase your omega base as it grows!

One idea could be reintroducing the lava flow but having be controlled (maybe like a lava aqueduct or something) going to a smeltery/blacksmithing area like in Erebor :)
The other thing not mentioned about the ores, if there was a "city" there, they most likely would've grabbed the visible ores already. :) Good egg hunting and building Iskall :)
I love what you’re doing this season and last season with taking something naturally generated and terraforming and building all over it, rather than just building a huge mega structure like a lot of other hermits do (i like that approach too)
Where lava comes out of the ceilings put magma for a few. Then surround that with obsidean. Do the same then on the floor so it looks like lava veins in those locations.

An interesting idea: if you want to give a detail that hints at building, you could add a part of cobblestone with iron bars covering it. Mimicking the appearance of when they explode mountains and need a wire fence to keep the debris from falling on the roads and wilderness nearby.

I have found that spreading usefull things around my bases makes me visit all places every now and then and not just fly past them. This makes the base more come to life. Maybe a thing to consider when planning the base flow.
i think that the cave could need some kind of "visual flow" that indicates where you should go if you want to go down, up, left or right. Like an organized mess, yeah is natural but i have some kind of order.
I think mushrooms would be a good way to keep the more out-of-the-way parts of the cave spawn proof but not too bright. I think the mysterious dimness of the cavern is an important thing to preserve, having torches everywhere doesn’t look as good. Also when 1.19 hits froglights would be a perfect lighting block to use in the cavern, for your storage area and the paths specifically, the more used areas Edit: Oh good, you talked about lighting later in the episode

Rickety bridges, I think, would be great for your base. Both Scar and Mumbo (when he returns) could especially help with that!

Iskall using some flowers in his builds isn't a bad change. It's almost as nice as the time he used polished diorite for flooring. Still a bit concerning, but you know.
You should totally build a spiral staircase around a stalactite at some point! That's how you could overcome big height differences with it still looking connected. And not to mention, pretty cool.
I think a cool connection from the higher platforms in the base to the lower sections would be if it looked like a rockslide/part of the cave broke a while ago and was used as a ramp down and reinforced. Love how the base is looking so far!
To make something look manmade you can always think about the actual block, ie. Stone bricks can not be formed in nature however stone is natural,. So yes, while you can still build with stone, building with stone bricks etc. will make it seems like people came in and reinforced the cave.
‘We’re going on a bear hunt, we’re going to catch a big one. What a beautiful day! Oh no, it’s a cave! A big, dark, cave. We can’t go under it. We can’t go over it. We’ve got to terraform it into a living-space while regaining the natural look of it!’
Hey Iskal, If you need some more inspirasjon you could look at the bunker from the 100 season 2. The bunker has alot of great feturs and i think it could look really cool if you took some insirasjon from it.
a series of ladders on the side of one of those spikes of stone, maybe vines? would allow you to blend traversal into the natural features of the cave.
My suggestion for the final drop in the cave is to go very bold. Make a centerpiece. Something you can see from a lot of angles. Personally I would make a tower with a spiral staircase. Make it contrast with the gray and green of the cave and really go larger then necessary.

this has to be the best Easter Egg hunt ever, lolol. Can’t Wait for hermits to find random eggs left in their bases months later
I like how the new update stops bird poop from sticking to his pickaxe! Otherwise he would have to keep burning them!
I think a cool connection from the higher platforms in the base to the lower sections would be if it looked like a rockslide/part of the cave broke a while ago and was used as a ramp down and reinforced. Love how the base is looking so far!
I made a habit of watching iskall before going to bed, its just soo relaxing.
i think taht the further you go down, the more expensive and nicer the materials you use get to signify time and them getting better at building.
To get down to the bottom, you could do a bit of a rope bridge to one of the larger cave pillars and then loop a staircase around it going down
To make something look manmade you can always think about the actual block, ie.
Awesome! Maybe build a spiral staircase winding around one of the stone columns to expand into the lowest cavern reaches.
Yes another iskall upload
Yes, that is true, 🎉
Clicked super fast haha😂
Hey Iskal, If you need some more inspirasjon you could look at the bunker from the 100 season 2. The bunker has alot of great feturs and i think it could look really cool if you took some insirasjon from it.
a series of ladders on the side of one of those spikes of stone, maybe vines? would allow you to blend traversal into the natural features of the cave.
This is sure to be an egg-xcellent episode
I felt my soul die a little from that horrible dad pun/ joke
PUN CAT.
Remove the x
@@pxndaa remove the comment not just the x lol
the x shouldnt be there :/
Iskall: "I'm not going for size this season"
Also iskall: *Picks the literal largest cave system in 10000 blocks to build in*
My suggestion for the final drop in the cave is to go very bold. Make a centerpiece. Something you can see from a lot of angles. Personally I would make a tower with a spiral staircase. Make it contrast with the gray and green of the cave and really go larger then necessary.
When 1.19 releases you should totally try and use frog lighting when you are trying to light up the cave. Whenever 1.19 releases of course
What is frog lighting? Sounds funny xD
@@EnderEclipz frogs are a new mob added to minecraft in 1.19. When frogs eat magamcubes they poop out a thing call frog lights. I belive there are 4 or 5 didn't light sources. For the different species of frogs.
They change seed every new update, so that probably won't happen.
@@BennettMarks I just searched them up! They look so cool. Would most definitely fit the base, especially the green one.
@@decomposedcorpse5186 Ah true, didn’t think about that…
Hey iskall! You could install lightoverlay, it's a client side fabric mod that helps you with finding the dark spots in your base where mobs can spawn. It's super useful
Yayy
big brain
Im pretty sure most hermits use firge but good idea
@@dawidorlowski1620 they actually use a lot of fabric mods-
Love the cave base youve Inspired me to try and build into the environment instead of mostly destroying it. Something I would recommend is a texture pack for light levels. Impulse and Tango both use the same one and Xisuma uses a different one. Helps a ton!!
Iskall did an incredible job finding the eggs. He was so close to full marks, pearls egg at 10:48.
I saw that too I was looking to see if that was all the comments but it doesn’t seem like many saw it
@@garrettunderbrook it’s because that’s a head, not an egg.
Egg-cellent content as always :D always making our days better.
Edit: Call me crazy but you may of passed one somewhere in the cactus area.
Edit 2: You found it lol I knew you would next time you'd go in. 12:18
I hate the puns 😭😭😭
Beat me to the joke!
I think that some hanging wooden bridges would look really good and be quite useful in your base
i laughed so hard when he walked past pearl's egg the first time
He just passed at least 3 times in front of it lmao
Its legit too obvious lol
