You have absolutely no idea about what’s about to hit you. Dimashs voice is fantastic no matter what he sings but 1 thing that still amazes me is the difference in his voice depending on the song. When you reacting to him in future, count the amount of different voices, where if you had your eyes closed you think it was a band or choir. Sos or ave Maria is the complete opposite of love is like a dream, he has so many different voices that I’ve lost count

Dimash is from Kazakhstan He is university trained in Classical opera vocals to degree level, also holds a degree in contemporary pop music and jazz with a major in vocals, and now has finished his master degree in music composition. He is about to finish his doctorate in Musicology.He has been having singing lessons from the age of 5 when his teacher noticed he had perfect pitch . He was offered a place at the Astana Opera in Kazakhstan but respectfully turned it down to pursue his own more contemporary musical career. He is a multi instrumentalist, more than 8 instruments and also sings in 12 different languages and has a range of over 6 octaves from a low bass A2 to a high soprano, plus a whistle register with his highest note so far being a 5 second D8 with vibrato. He is widely recognized as the best vocalist in the world. He speaks fluent Kazakh and Russian, is studying English and Mandarin and has conversational skills in both but not quite fluent yet. He is kind, humble, generous and modest, very elegant and very tall, Dimash is 6ft 3, 1/4.

I sincerely hope you will take a look at "SOS," "Olimpico," "Across Endless Dimensions," "Your Love," "Adagio" (the 2017 version on the Chinese reality show, The Singer), "Hello," "Ave Maria," and especially, "Stranger." The way I found to celebrate the majesty of Dimash's talent was to have written the following about him: If I were to rule the world, I would immediately add, to the universal declaration of human rights, another article (they would become 31) whose wording would next "All human beings have the right, at least once in their lives, to hear Dimash sing". I am a Professor and I believe that I have a special profession that allows me to transform the human heart and consequently the human society. I work with young people and young people need to have good references. I had been looking for someone for a long time, of whom I could speak to the young people I work with, as a good reference. That person should be young, a super talent, a super mega star in the art world and above all, because he is the most important, a good human person. I searched and never found anyone with these characteristics. Until, finally, I found this person and that person is Dimash. I had the opportunity to say this to Dimash, personally, when I was with him in Latvia where I went, coming from Portugal (there are 8000 km round trip), on the 7th of March 2020. Everal things to note. One thing is he’s only about 24 yrs old here. Because he’s an actor, he is the character in the song and his forehead is furrowed in this, but no where else. I’ve never seen it. I don’t know how he looks at least Thirty here. But wikipedia has his career starting at age 2 and he’s was performing on stage, won his first piano contest, his grandparents raised him as is custom in his country for the eldest child to be raised by the, then they put him in the academy of music at the university all at the ahpge of 5 yrs old. So his voice is not one of a teenage pop singer just starting out. Hell be 28 in May ng his voice around 25 yrs old making him sound like an older male ad female opera singer though not limited to that genre.

The show was not only music. Dimash performed at the Miss Universe Pagent. Dimash performed at the European Olympics several times. Dimash was a child prodigy. Dimash is an adult prodigy. Prodigies are problem children for parents. He didn’t just start singing in 15 languages and playing 8 instruments. This child would have to be watched and guided. Some of them are ADHD. Attention span very short going from one task to the next. If you’ve evr seen or heard about them they sometimes end up in university at 10 and 11 years old. Then the parents have to bring them home to spend time with children their age. Dimash was at the university at 5 winning his first piano competition at 5 yrs old. Why would it be hard for you to believe in a concept of a gifted child learning acting with music.

Dimash Qudaibergen (Di-MOSH KOO-die-ber-Ghen) is a phenomenon and is a decorated national treasure in his native Kazakhstan. He has been accepted into a program to pursue his PhD in musical composition.
Kudaibergen sings in multiple musical genres. His main genre is classical crossover, but he also sings classical music (bel canto), rap, hip hop, pop, rock, classic, Opera, traditional Kazakh folk, ballad and world music. He uses musical elements, and vocal styles and techniques of many other genres, including jazz, RnB, and musical theater.
His 7.7 octave range (G0 growl-D8 whistle tone) and 2 semitones, meaning he has produced notes found in 7 different octaves, which is beyond comparison. Kudaibergen is well-recognized for his extremely wide and developed vocal range from C2 to C6 to F#6 and, finally, D8. This sequence shows his lowest note sung in vocal fry and chest voice, his highest note hit with his full modal voice, his highest note hit using falsetto, and his highest overall note, hit using the whistle register.
Dimash is one of the best, if not the best, singers on the planet today. He started singing lessons at 5 years old and was later found to have perfect pitch.
Dimash has been on stage since childhood: he sang and played the piano at various venues and competitions throughout his childhood. The young artist was not only a bright performer of famous hits, but also the author of his own songs. He had written seven songs by the age of 24.
He is also known for his use of the whistle register and for singing in full head voice. He is University educated with degrees in classical and opera, as well as contemporary music, pop and jazz and completed a Broadway musical master class. On June 18th, 2020 he completed his masters specializing in composition and received his masters with honours having achieved the maximum score of 100%. In terms of full notes hit, Dimash has used growls and frys to hit spoken notes around and below C2, some of which may or may not be counted as part of his range. This includes an Eb2, an A1 and an F#1, various other frys around Eb2 and D2, a G#1 and a Bb1. Therefore, if counted, those notes make his range expand to 7 octaves and 10 semitones.
He is humbly dismissive of this astounding fact and stresses that it is not the amount of range you have but in fact how you use it to move people. On top of all this, he embodies every song he sings and always gives 100% for his audience.
He's a genius at mixing genres in a song, a style he himself refers to himself as neo-classic. He has won many prestigious awards.
He speaks Kazakh and Russian, English and some Chinese.

On May 24th, 2021 Dimash celebrated his 27th birthday. At 22 he was invited as a wild card to participate in I Am a Singer, a Chinese competition show for professional singers. He ultimately placed second because at the time the rules of the show disallowed anyone who wasn't Chinese to take first place. The show catapulted him to relative stardom worldwide and he became a pop superstar in China.
He is also famous in Russia for his neoclassical work with famous Russian/Ukrainian composer and arranger Igor Krutoy who came out of retirement to collaborate with Dimash. Igor has written songs for Dimash and arranged previously composed music specifically for Dimash. He is often at the piano for many of Dimash's performances.
Dimash has since introduced pop songs in Russia as well. He was on a solo world tour when the pandemic struck. There are several full concerts available to watch online. His concerts are usually around 2 ½ hours with an eclectic mix of vocal styles and genres. He was born into a musical family and both of his parents are famous singers and musicians in Kazakhstan, his mother being an operatic soprano.
Although offered a position at the Astana Opera, he decided to carve out his career in contemporary music, mixing classical elements and traditional Kazakh music with pop music.
He gained significant popularity in Kazakhstan and other post-Soviet countries in 2015 upon becoming the Grand Prix winner of Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk, Belarus. He rose to fame in China with his participation as a "wildcard competitor" in Hunan TV's Singer 2017 finishing second overall.
Although he works with producers, promoters and music labels in other countries his music is produced and distributed through his own company called Dimashali Creative Center.
Dimash plays seven instruments: piano, drums, guitar, keyboard, dombra (the most popular Kazakh instrument, like a lute), marimba (like a xylophone), and bayan (which is like an accordion).
Dimash is most widely known through his live performances and has released several albums, the first one going platinum in 37 seconds in China and triple platinum in less than an hour.
It has been widely recognized that his high notes are not whistle tones but head voice. Dimash rarely uses his whistle register but when he does it is spectacular.
He has many millions of fans worldwide which he has named his "Dears" He is soft spoken, polite, respectful, elegant and classy, also extremely humble, and possesses a wonderful sometimes self-deprecating sense of humor. I was thrilled when you chose this song as your first reaction, as it shows much more of his range ( but not all of it!) then SOS, which is an awesome song and should be your next reaction. Dimash is the best vocalist in the world, and one of the best singers ever, for me at least. As others have said, he did sing Diva Dance and the best performance of this song is from his Bastau concert. Enjoy the rabbit hole you’ve just opened up by watching Dimash!! He absolutely makes you question everything! His voice is a gift that has been finely trained for over 2 decades, since he was 5. He not only sings but plays multiple instruments and is working on his PHD in music and he is only going to be 28 this year. The gentleman playing the piano in this song is also the composer, Igor Krutoy. He came out of retirement JUST to compose for Dimash, and it’s not like he needed money, nope, he’s a billionaire! Also, Dimash was diagnosed (saw this in one of the posts about him) with perfect pitch when he was 5. His parents are both singers, mom sings opera and dad sings folk songs. Honestly, choosing "Love like a dream" probably wasn't as strong an introduction to Dimash as some might have experienced. It is a beautiful song, and an even more beautiful rendition of it, but it is, perhaps, a "safer", more... methodical, more guarded, if you will, arrangement one could have made for Dinmuhammed Qanatuly. Hopefully, by the time I post this (let alone by the time you read it, if ever), you would've already had a... um... "sample" for comparison :) Especially given your, uh, well, certain... comments. You're certainly in for more that just a treat if you continue, that's for sure.
(BTW there shouldn't be an "is" there, it's an artifact of poor translation. It's an allegory, a comparison, not a juxtaposition. It is a story about a certain, "dreamlike" love, not a statement about how a love *could* be akin to a dream. The pianist is Igor Krutoy (*1954 in Ukrainian SSSR), singer and songwriter in Ukrainian and Honored Artist and music titan in Russia (billionaire). He is a world- famous composer who came out of retirement to write songs for Dimash. The maestro and Dimash have been working together from time to time since 2018. They are friends and have a father-son relationship.
Igor Krutoy composed this song 28 years ago for Alla Pugacheva. Valerya Gorbacheva wrote the beautiful words. Now Igor and Dimash have refreshed the song and Dimash made it his song, incomparably beautiful. The interpretation is completely different from the original.

Most of his videos have English subtitles (as this one does) so you might want to click on the cc if you want to know the lyrics. If you're one of those people who gets distracted by subtitles, and you have the patience, I'd suggest you listen to the song first, then watch it again with the subs. Dimash often tailors the way he sings the song based on the lyrics, so it enhances the enjoyment and appreciation of the performances if you know what he's singing about. SOS d'un terrien en detresse is a great example of this. As others have suggested, SOS is a good one to react to next.
