Minden Wild Water Preserve at Harrington Park (Minden, Ontario, Canada)

Located on the Gull River just upstream from the town of Minden, Ontario, the Minden Wild Water Preserve was home to canoe and kayak slalom events at the 2015 Pan American Games. The facility took on a $2 million upgrade between 2012 and 2014.
For those not willing to brave the whitewater, a trail runs the length of the east side of the river from the dam at Horseshoe Lake to the mouth of Minden Lake. Often, kayakers from Whitewater Ontario can be seen running the rapids.
Minden is located 190 kilometres northeast of downtown Toronto on highway 35.

Ya - was pretty impressed. Minden used to be a gas stop on the way up north - now its kind of a neat little place (nice micro brewery downtown, too)
