Gotta say, i'm actually quite proud of how dani managed the older songs on the list, the principle of evil made flesh specifically. Obviously he isn't in his 20's anymore, but that was great! The man has an amazing vocal range that few could even begin to compete with. Still one of my favourite bands, even if the albums after darkly, darkly venus aversa sort of blend together for me. Dusk... and her embrace, cruelty and the beast and v empire are and will likely always be among my favourite albums ever. 2000-2010 was still a great era for them in my opinion as well, although nothing compares to the nineties stuff. Well, aside from bitter suites to succubi and lovecraft and witchhearts, but those are their own perfect pieces. Long story short, i'm extremely glad to see them still going strong, all their shows in finland (which i've seen at least) have always been great!
50 years old and still going at it with gusto. I loved Cradle unabashedly when I was kid, they were a guilty pleasure in my TRV KVLT dumbass 20's and now I love them unabashed again. Compare this with Anaal Nathrakh's set at this Hellfest. I adore AN, but Dave was never the best at replicating what he can do in the studio on stage, and that set was fucking dire. Similar age range as Dani, but there's no comparison between them.

Aside from bitter suites to succubi and lovecraft and witch hearts (as those aren't studio albums specifically) i think it's their best album between 2000-2010. Midian is very close as well, but in my personal ranking damnation goes slightly further.
I don't know CoF's catalogue, but I was wondering if all those songs have the "ATATATATATATATAAAA" high screams or if he actually sings the lyrics in the records.
@@The_Cadaver Yeah, I have 6, or 7 albums from each band. I meant more stage performance wise. I just watched footage of Dimmu Borgir and they had no stage presence, just standing there going through the motions.. CoF has always put on a good show regardless of album strength...
This band turned me on to Black Metal when I was 28 years old I'm 55 now.. I bought "Midian" because of the artwork on the album cover. Yeah, that's how we did it in my day. No internet y'all. That album blew me away. Fan ever since that day. Now I'm obsessed with Death And Black metal and ALL of the subgenres prospectively. I turned my kid on to this band when he was 16. He loves all the same music I do to this day. Thanks to Dani and company! We have such sounds to show you...
Same mate, midian was my first exposure to black metal I got it as a Christmas present 😂,. I can still remember the first time I heard Cthulhu dawn on Christmas Day and that scream 😮😮 I was blown away!!

I'm a big old school dusk , vampire , cruelty era fan ... And yeah I do love the old line up of the band . But these guys do damn deliver on stage ... Tight drummer on the tempo ... They sound awesome... And Dani is amazing aswell 🤘😁

I saw Cradle of Filth live in late june this summer at Copenhell, before that the last time I saw them live was around 12-13 years ago and yes, Dani's voice has changed. I noticed that his growls and highs aren't as deep and high as they used to be. But neither are Bruce Dickinson's, Rob Halford's and James Hetfield's (to name a few), their voices aren't the same either. They've grown older and so has their bodies and voices, but still after all these years they all sound really good!

I love this performance. Cradle of filth are amazing fucking brilliant. Cannot believe Dani is 50 and still sounds amazing. I don’t know how he does it. The low growls, to the high screams, I’m still in shock. Cradle of filth will always be the gods of Metal in my opinion.

Dani still got it after all these years, his passion and dedication for Cradle has been phenomenal since the 90s. ☝️ Aside from that, Zoe (keyboard player/female vox) nails it every time. I believe she's on par with Ashley and Caroline as the best female vocalist/keyboard players of the history of the band.

Black metal is either a big hit or a big miss for someone. There is Black metal that really speaks to me and Cradle Of Filth isnt one of them. I find their lead singer goofy and his vocals not great. Usually people think of this when thinking of Black metal which isnt great. But its just me.
@PhilosophicalDrummer I would say that the only CoF album that could be considered BM is Principle of Evil. From Dusk onwards they became a ln extreme gothic metal band, and the better for it.

Her name is zoe marie federoff from arizona USA and she's the band member Ashok fiance And I think her voice very gothic and dramatic which is in point with the band colour

Dani’s voice on point 👌 however this made me realize just how crazy he was in the past jumping side to side etc during shows 😅 he almost fell a few times when I saw CoF that it was almost like his signature move (almost falling but keeping his composure in an instant lol)
@@Unlegged that's a band I have most of the albums (14 maybe?) but I am not fond of the direction they have chosen over the last years. The last album I really loved is Godspeed on Devil's Thunder. I have a few more but seldom listen to them.

@@s_t_s4846 Cradle had some highs and lows. For me the worst phase was Darkly, Darkly Venus Aversa and times near of this. Now the band is on a good phase, heavy, technical, agressive, dense and still melodic. I hope they keep this line.
I am 57 years young, Listened to Exodus, Possessed, Death, Slayer etc since 1984 and love these guys. They sound so good live. Incredible after all these years.
Holy sheet, this was amazing. I was a bit irritated by the first song where Dani had difficulties with his voice but then they got better and better culminating in a freakin' awesome finale. 💯🔥🤘

I love this performance. Cradle of filth are amazing fucking brilliant. Cannot believe Dani is 50 and still sounds amazing. I don’t know how he does it. The low growls, to the high screams, I’m still in shock. Cradle of filth will always be the gods of Metal in my opinion.
I agree, it is completely oustanding. Absolutely bedazzled by the flow and the delivery of all those lyrics. Man this man is legendary. How on can go at 18 saying "Am i really gonna sing these past my 50s ?? lol" Dani is a legendary professional.
Lots of singing the right way. I'm 45 still singing black/death vocals and you know right away if you use the wrong vocal chords.

Aside from that, Zoe (keyboard player/female vox) nails it every time. I believe she's on par with Ashley and Caroline as the best female vocalist/keyboard players of the history of the band.

I can't really fathom Black Metal much, but I still watched the whole set, they're good musicians, I can see the appeal for fans of that stuff.
Black metal is either a big hit or a big miss for someone. There is Black metal that really speaks to me and Cradle Of Filth isnt one of them. I find their lead singer goofy and his vocals not great. Usually people think of this when thinking of Black metal which isnt great. But its just me.
@PhilosophicalDrummer I would say that the only CoF album that could be considered BM is Principle of Evil. From Dusk onwards they became a ln extreme gothic metal band, and the better for it.

Dani’s voice on point 👌 however this made me realize just how crazy he was in the past jumping side to side etc during shows 😅 he almost fell a few times when I saw CoF that it was almost like his signature move (almost falling but keeping his composure in an instant lol)

@@Unlegged that's a band I have most of the albums (14 maybe?) but I am not fond of the direction they have chosen over the last years. The last album I really loved is Godspeed on Devil's Thunder. I have a few more but seldom listen to them.

@@s_t_s4846 Cradle had some highs and lows. For me the worst phase was Darkly, Darkly Venus Aversa and times near of this. Now the band is on a good phase, heavy, technical, agressive, dense and still melodic. I hope they keep this line.
