When the go pro affect doesn't dampen the difficulty of the trail, you know its good. Awesome ride, awesome trails. Your mid gnar squeals had me laughing. Thanks for posting!
Finally got my Knolly Warden today! Cannot wait to be shredding the trails in a couple weeks on it. I definitely need to let them know your warden video from 2020 is the reason i bought one.
Great video, a trio of awesome riders. I think the best part was at 14:25 when Dave looked back in disgust and said "someone just took the ride-around"
Sweet, the Three Mtbuskateers together once again! Nic, you sell your skills short. You look like you handled the trails like a champ! Appreciate that the three of you are very down to earth with your skills/abilities. Would like to see a maintenance video from any/all of you. Curious as to how regularly you perform routine maintainance after riding a lot of these tech trails.
Hey @VanCan , really enjoy watching your riding. I watch a lot of Dave and Dale's riding too. You described your self as not being a very courageous rider or something to that effect. Bravery is being afraid of something and still plucking up the courage to do that thing. It doesn't necessarily mean just looking at something and NOT being afraid, that could more likely be called foolhardy. Lot's of what you ride here is definitely scary and higher risk compared to what me and many others do. I don't know if this means anything to you or not, either way I feel you should hold your head high with what and how you ride dude 🤙!
some people might make fun of me for this question, but here goes. most cranks on ready to sell bikes seem to come with 175mm cranks. If you put shorter cranks on your bike, would have to raise your seat a little to keep the same leg bend on the down stroke?
Yeah buddy this is a scary one. beautiful though even with the mud, Your bike sounds great also, like butter lol...I better go lube and tighten . Great job

How are the 165mm cranks for ridding? Most bikes my size come with 175 but was thinking to step down a size or two but was curious how yours are to pedal
Man, so many of those steep rolls to a hole with another horn of rock look like a fork dive to OTB. I would have walked a lot of that trail. Show me some B.C. Blue so I can say, "That is our Black, I'd ride that".
I noticed how far back your bottom bracket is. Is that just deceiving or is it really that far back? If it is that far back, how does that make the bike ride??
I know what you mean, I had to look at his bike twice. I think the BB is normal, but that frame is very unusual on the bottom. It stays flat and parallel to the ground for what looks like 9 inches from the BB to the front of the bike. I went back and watched his video about this bike. He might've won me over. Very unique frame. I really like it's take on the flipchip. Very cool 😁
The narrow opening betweens trees on the skinny is just plain dirty... nice move.. 44 seconds in to the video and I would have been OTB twice at that point,
Dude.. Even if you think you're a "take it easy kind of rider", almost everything you upload scares the crap out of me. And I've been to war. You have to be in the global top 5000 out of 100 000's of riders in that discipline.
See I'm more of an XC rider and I hate techy downhill sections. To me, this wouldn't be fun. But good on ya for doing these types of trails. In NB we have very limited North Shore type trails. I prefer flowy trails.

Haha, your definition of "I'm the take-it-easy kind of guy" is soooo much different to mine 😂😂😂 great ride!
Including 6:23 is a next level roast. Was a good day! 🤘
I love Dave and that’s all that matters

Love seeing a new VanCan video! Makes the Monday a little less horrible!

Those are some gnarly trails! Love hearing your silent bike bounce though the nasty sections. Would love to ride out here some day.

Yes I did actually
Serious trails right there. Nice work🤘🏼
Always enjoy your vids; especially like when you three ride together. 🤘
Yeah buddy this is a scary one. beautiful though even with the mud, Your bike sounds great also, like butter lol...I better go lube and tighten . Great job
Great ride! Some Cypress beauties. You rode some of the hardest stuff. But wear some armor guys!
The “3 amigos” BC version..yiieeww 🤘🏼
That was incredibly enjoyable to watch .

well done on the steeps of The Horseman !
Amazing ride and trail.
gotta say those trails look bloody difficult!!! even with the gopro effect!!! proper precision tech riding
I like your friend's Model 3!
Electric for life yo!
I think anyone who can ride like this deserves a million subs. So bloody hard to do
Summer will be here soon! (I hope) Does the fear count as extra points towards a cardio workout?
I got sweaty hands from just watching. How much of your 170 mm suspension travel did you use? Great video!!
All of it 😂
Great bit of riding that👌
the footage is looking good man🔥🙌
that place looks gnarly!! what MTB computer are you using?
crazy trails
i love watching your vids
I love the videos but you guys are crazy, these trails are insane lol
Cypress is sick! Good rippin! Yeah PicNic! :D \m/
You have more courage in your pinky than I have in my entire body :)
Love the 5dev Cranks and pedals. How's the grip on the pedals?
Great!
How are the 165mm cranks for ridding? Most bikes my size come with 175 but was thinking to step down a size or two but was curious how yours are to pedal
They feel good to me. No noticeable loss in power and fewer pedal strikes
Nice cranks!
What brand is that?

Good stuff buddy 🤩🤘🔥

Nice video! Think I will have to start doing more Raw videos without music like yours.. something satisfying about the simplicity 🤘🏽
How did you get the ride 5 cranks to work with superboost??
I run a 145 spindle
@@VanCan race face spindle?
No. It’s from 5 dev
@@VanCan cool, I will give them a call, thanks!
I'm 6'2 215 and shopping for new cranks for my XL Nukeproof Mega...why did you go with 165mm cranks?
No loss in power and fewer pedal strikes
@@VanCan so they don’t feel to short
not that I can tell
What mountain was that
Bike sounds good
A new Vancan video? With Dale in it as well? Can my day get any better?
I imagine Dale’s lighter weight helps in the braking control
This is stupid steep. You’re brave for just dropping in.
I noticed how far back your bottom bracket is. Is that just deceiving or is it really that far back? If it is that far back, how does that make the bike ride??
The BB is in a pretty normal spot. What you’re noticing is my straight seat tube! Which is great for running a long dropper.

wait wait wait... Dale and Dave ARE NOT the same person!? 🤣
pointing_spidermen.jpg
Nothing take it easy about those trails. And what's up with Dale not wearing knee pads again?
What a trail :O have you riden trespasser?
Not yet!
The narrow opening betweens trees on the skinny is just plain dirty... nice move.. 44 seconds in to the video and I would have been OTB twice at that point,
are going to run TRP brakes again?
Just waiting for more stock!

No courage? I would have said fuck it about 15 seconds into the first trail..
Dammn!
Yeah my polygon premier is at the shop tuneup today
beauty eh
that's a single black!!???!?? no waaay.
welcome to BC, haha
Awesome riding and trails but I wish Dale would wear knee pads haha

I've always wondered why Dale rides without kneepads. If he crashes in those type of trails he's gonna obliterate his knees, hope that doesn't happen.
This is a properly tough trail. Wow. Even with the GoPro effect still steep jank chunk at its finest.
would have been better if it's the raw cranks
Holy shit, you actually spent 800$ on that.
Edit : i saw its "only" the cranks for ... 600$ ?
They got a brand deal I think they were promoting them aswell on his instagram
You’ve gone for overboard with ads.
UA-cam places the ads
why did you get a knolly it looks horrible you should have got a santa cruz or something tjhast doesdnt look thast bad.
Because knollys are the best
