At 5.38 there was a mention of the great Les Kelllett. Can you imagine what sort of a match it would have been to watch if Catweazle had ever have been "drawn" to wrestle against Lez Kellet?
I had the privilage of seeing Catweazle vs Kenny Omega during an LSD trip in Vietnam. It was the greatest match I'd ever seen. Dave Meltzer gave it 14 stars out of 5, and when Big Daddy ran in and did a hurricanerana on Kenny, the crowd went nuclear. ....but this match was a close 2nd, and really good fun. Thanks for uploading, Candy Tyrrell
This bout was 8 years before Catweazle was taken from us with cancer. He apparently came from Stoke about 10 miles north from me. This bout just goes to prove what a skillful wrestler Catweazle really was underneath the comedy.
So, here's my question about Catweazle: after you've seen one match, have you seen them all? As someone from the US, I'm a little surprised the guy doesn't have a wider popularity, because he's absolutely hilarious, even just to look at him. But, I question if he just did the same formulaic routine with every match, ala John Cena and his 5 moves of doom, or if Catweazle was able to improvise a bit. Regardless, the first few times watching have been great comedy, something like Monty Python in terms of that 80s British humor. Cool stuff.
I don't blame you doc it's past ridiculous it's playground stuff there is no real fighting men anymore if I was bit younger I would have loved to had ago at you but it would have been out of respect unfortunately mate I'm 60 now but I do have huge amount of respect for you doc

This bout was towards the end of ITV showing wrestling on WoS and is very much a circus match, even Kent Walton sounded bored by now.
Yeah, it's not quite Hogan vs Flair is it? 😂
@@jockejocke1 No this is better by quite a mile
Both Kellet and Catweasel, whilst excellent wrestlers, became very repetitive with their comedy.
@@jockejocke1 Do you not mean Flair, Steamboat?
Gary Cooper RIP .
Worked with Ian back in the day and a nicer guy you couldn't hope to find.

Loved Catweazle, got to see him at the royal albert hall. Mums got a photo somwhere. The guy was a nutter
Really random but can anyone tell me the music Catweazle came out to?
The wrestling wasn't fake, but the audience was.
