I love that these are more about interactions between players and tabletalk, and not focussing on the cards. I think it's actually part of the game to make mistakes. Shoutout to Lynch who always seems to like other peoples plays.
We all have that friend in the group who keeps track of triggers, life totals etc etc. Rachel seems to have taken that role here. Plus she's really likeable and knows her Commander. The perfect guest! I hope we see her again. Also, as always, great work with the episode! I hoped I would see the Dino deck pop off a little more, but still great game with unexpected ending.

Joe always getting the love for his bubbly and fun personality, which is excellent of course. But Lynch seems like a super chill dude. Like, I'd totally go on a hike with that guy. Also Rachael is hilarious.
Gotta give it to Joseph, he could have nuked both Racheal and Krissie at the same time and then stomp Dino guy on his own, but he actually preferred to just flex his deck and play the game rather than take the W. Can relate.
The true mvp of this game was Krissie taking 2 Aether fluxes but also Lynch’s Dino wiping the clerics. If those were out, Joe would have enough life to hit that third flux.
There was no winning for her. She went right before Joe and her other opponents had low life. If she went after Joe, Aetherflux. If she went after anyone else, she either A) killed them, which means Joe Aetherfluxes her. Or B) got them low enough that Joe could swing at them and kill them which means she still gets Aetherfluxed. The only Hail Mary play would be to actually do nothing at all and hope for another board rotation where another player does something to force Joe's hand with the Aetherflux, or potentially drawing into a miracle card like Deflecting Plam, because any action meant death to Aetherflux. If Krissie wasn't running Deflecting Palm, let this be a lesson. Solid card overall, but also makes for the most fun moments in commander.

True story. The reason I was whispering was because I was in Tunisia Africa in a very small hotel with the crew I was filming with. It was also very late. I didn’t want to wake anyone up. So that blue door behind me is very Tunisian. Fun fact!

He had so many opportunities to end that game with aetherflux, I'm not even upset. With all the life he had and could get back with his commander, he shouldn't have been trying to use it as a threat so much. Just kill the blue player, destroy gisela and then tell the dino deck that you will let it go after you use it to finish her off. There's no way Lynch can refuse the offer to fight for 2nd place with his position in the game. Still a fun match to watch 🤣
It was nice to see Gishath get off a solid hit. Personally I would have tapped down the blocker for the full 7, but you landed some decent big boys. Always feels good. GG all. Fun match.

Seeing Gishath get some dinos out makes me excited to keep building. I just started playing Magic last summer, and Gishath is the first commander I'm building from scratch. I can't wait to fine-tune it to respectfully wreck my friends 🤣
Sunpetal Grove should have come in tapped - not that it would have mattered since you got a Savannah and could have tapped your CT/LE instead for the Three Visits and then had your Sunpetal Grove come in untapped and used it for the Speaker. Just a little thing there. Not trying to be nit-picky - just surprised somebody didn't yell at you to tap it.
Pretty sure Joe should have won. If at the 19 minute mark prior to casting wurmcoil he attacks lynch with all his angels and Rachel with everything else he can kill them due to double damage from gisella and then double blast kristie for the win.

Mike, you forgot that Mirari's Wake gave +1/+1 to Gishath. You should have flipped another card in that attack against Rachel. Also Mike (and Rachel), Trostani Discordant doesn't give itself +1/+1. He should have been able to fight up to 2 more power without his Apex Altisaur dying. Joe, some of your life gain math was off. That's almost bound to happen when you've got so many triggers ;) I don't think it really mattered in the long run, though. Rachel, Muldrifter should have come back into play with a +1/+1 counter. I'm not throwing stones here. Games that I've played with my groups have always had mistakes. Doesn't detract from the fun. It's probably one of the more higher powered decks I have now 🤔
