If police show and give a misdemeanor ticket racers just take the ticket. Call it a felony to anyone around the race cop shows up everyone runs, stay or go it's the same charge. That is all the insensitive to run no one will stay. It would be stupid not to try and get away when everyone scatters

If i were a smaller town sheriff outside of memphis or nashville, I would see an opportunity to generate some revenue that didnt involve messing with anyone. I'd schedule certain weekends where I'd have a couple deputies shut down a strip of good road, to allow for drag racing for anyone signing a risk waiver and paying a fair price to play. I'd call it an experiment that just might work out nice for everyone involved.

In my city we use the takeover name but ive been out and never seen them crash a meet, never seen them takeover a intersection, racers and park n chill meet guys think that the night-time crowd is messing things up for them meanwhile they really dont even have enough real unity to be messed up and the isolated incidents get blamed on the takeover crowd when it has absolutely nothing to do with them.

Felony speeding varies throughout each state but 9/10 if your going way above the speed limit on city roads your going to become a felon. You have it backwards. Very rarely does an individual get a misdemeanor for felony speeding. There are people who have to go to court for going 5 over in some counties. In Memphis specifically they are cracking down and showing no mercy. Idk if you’ve realized but Memphis is a city where cops get clowned on. They’re tired of people going on chases because they think it’s fun to embarrass the local police. With this being said. In Memphis specifically it is not worth street racing if you aren’t willing to run. If you can’t understand that I don’t know how else to explain it to you. In some places racing and doing burnouts is more acceptable, but not in Memphis

Speeding above 100mph in Illinois is already a felony if you get caught more than once the state police already know 9/10 a highway chase the driver is not going to stop so once you’re arrested they keep you for about 2-3 days then you have your court date depending on charges you can be sentenced to do time but I will tell you that yes speeding above 100 mph and get caught by Illinois state police is not a good day not a good look for your license or driving record trust me it’s a felony that will follow you for about 8 years

The knew the "take overs" ruined the game when salvage title/rebuilt title and high mileage cars shot up 3k in price....all these good parts/donor/track only cars are now just being destroyed to do donuts in the middle of the street and run people who have no regard for their own lives over.
