Great review, you point out many important aspects of the helmet use and features. Thanks. I still have my simpson from I think the 80s the features are just like the outlaw as well as the flaws when riding. But the outlaw seems more like a car helmet than a motorcycle helmet.

Thank you for the video, it's really helpful... I just bought the Ghost one After your review, but I realized that the Outlaw is Snell approved and this Ghost not. Cloud you please confirm that, cuz that's my main feature to have for this helmet.
Owner of both and agree with everything you said. My only issue with my new helmet (ghost) is I look like an ol timey diver. It’s huge 😝

I just bought the Ghost Bandit Tanto. Was at 415 and got it at 250.. Always wanted a Simpson helmet... Now I need an outlaw motorcycle haha
I love these helmets. I had a biltwel lanesplitter then tried to buy one of these. The medium fit well, but the chin part was resting on my chin, so wouldn’t work, and the next size up was too big and a little loose. Unfortunate.
are you sure the ghost is a grade below the outlaw seems like it’s just a all around better helmet
So you got a Large size for the Ghost Bandit and an XL for the Outlaw? I love the look of the Outlaw but here in Europe they're almost impossible to find. I had a test-fit of the Ghost Bandit and the size Medium was perfect for me... this means I should order a Large for the Outlaw? I should get it from the USA, so getting the wrong size would be a disaster :-(
I wish Simpson would start using Fidlock system & Transition visors ...
I owned a Mod Ghost & Outlaw
Out of the 3 I loved my Ghost best... but compared to my Klim Krios Pro... my Klim has way better features... only down fall on my Klim the visor Detents suxs !! Other than than... if Simpson would add the fidlock & Transition pin lock visor ...on their helmets I would consider Simpson Ghost again...
Does the internal sun visor interfere if you are wearing your glasses?

Outlaw bandit has the cooler style to me but unfortunately looks like it’s cheaper made by a long shot . Also more expensive so that’s messed up on many levels
It’s snell approved which imo is better.
@@Ishootfilm412 it doesn’t have a modular version , it doesn’t have a drop down tinted internal visor , it leaks when it rains . But it’s snell and it looks cool
@@jacobroberts2976 a drop-down visor makes a helmet, less safe that’s why you don’t have a snell approval. It’s Mort to impact your head if you crash. Just wear sunglasses or tinted visor.
A modular version in most crashes open up and you’re smashing your whole face anyways . It was designed that way intentionally to not have all those luxury fancy white girl features.

The only reason the ghost isn’t snell approved is due to the flip down visor. Snell will not approve any flip down visor

Worst helmet ever in the ghost, it pulls your head all over the place with even a slight look to your side, whistles with the visor up and is noisy AF
