You are so close!!! I just did a AOD replacement, on my 65 coupe last spring.. So, this trans install, was really familiar... I got mine in, perfect, on the first try. Got all the bell housing bolts in as well. Then, I realized, I didn't line up the converter bolts !!!! I did get it, eventually... Looking forward to that start up !!! God bless...
Great progress. I made a newbie mistake connecting the driveshaft to the rear end. Th ujoint needs to wedged into the rear-end saddle. It's not easily seen that the ujoint isn't properly seated. I didn't see it and just bolted the driveshaft on. I went out for a drive and had bad vibration. I was confused. I had just installed a T5 which alters the engine axis angle which needs to be compensated for by installing wedges at the axle mounts. I put 2 degree shim on the axles and made sure the driveshaft was properly seated. Problem solved.
Great looking build. I bet you can't wait to get it out on the road. I always regret selling my 70 coup.
