My first date with my now husband was on Valentine’s Day 1987, so of course this holiday has a special romantic feel for me, but I definitely understand where you’re coming from.😊

Lovely presentation!!! I must say your kimono is my fave outfit as I love how the kimono gained popularity in "The West" from the late 19th century in the spirit of Japonisme. Next, I love all of your strappy shoes! My feet are too big to carry them off but I love them anyway. Next, I love your 1930s style as this is one of my most favorite periods of fashion, although truth be known, I love so much from the late 1800s through the mid-1960s. I was an oddity growing up in the 1980s as I did not go for the rock bands, Madonna and the like. My little sister and I were wildcats and preferred the Antique Plaza, old LPs and classic cinema. Audrey Hepburn has been my idol but I now love Mary Astor, Myrna Loy, and Joan Blondell ever so. Still, when in a blue funk, I feel there is nothing better than a copy of Women's Home Companion from the 1950s. Madison, you are incredible! Love your hair, outlook on Valentine's Day ( I feel completely the same!) and your own unique style. Much love, kudos and BRAVOS to you from Northern California :) ❤💕❤💕❤💕

I only really enjoy Halloween as a holiday tbh…I am not goth, but I’ve made sacrifices in my life that took me away from home most holidays (so they have lost all meaning) and Halloween is just fun…but this was a fun video 🤗

Hey Madison, salutations from Germany/ Düsseldorf here! Love your channel very much. So, a couple of questions: Do you actually walk around like this every day? I've done it a couple of times and every time people stared at me (aka I wish I had the balls to do so every day). How did your journey start? Why do you love this style of fashion so much in contrast to the modern fashion? Looking forward to yur next video!

Those are good questions. First off, yes, I do go out dressed like this all the time! It can be annoying when people stare, but you get used to it. Like Harry Winston said, "People will stare. Make it worth their while." LOL!
As for my journey into vintage, I have always been drawn to alternative styles (goth, punk, and retro) and never fit in with the "trendy" crowd. I have been exploring vintage fashion specifically for over 10 years now, so the whole story is a bit long. Simply put, I enjoyed thrifting and vintage shopping since it was a fun cheap way to find unique clothing. Afterwards, I discovered a large group of people who shared my passion of vintage fashion, and my interest grew from there. Vintage just fit me better and made me feel better about myself. Plus it can be such a wide pallet to take inspiration from; anything from the 1920s to the 1990s is so fun to play with and style.😊 That is the short version, but perhaps someday I will make a video with a longer and more thorough explanation.
I want to encourage you that if you want to wear something different, go for it! Life is too short to let people's opinions hold you back from being happy in your own skin.😊
