are the mud ponds natural, or built? What goes into maintaining the koi, the water? How does it work with no filtration? I have so many questions about why it is so good to grow the koi.

Also could you ask what sort of pathogens they Encounter in the mud ponds in Japan? Im a veterinary tech, in Europe Theres loads of Things that get transported by water birds, from the wild to trout farms for example.

They must have a team of very dedicated water level ninjas, always on standby with their trusty measuring cups :P They control it with ground water
