My parents took me to see a movie I didn't think I would like it I complained the whole way there
But as the movie started and I saw this skinny socially awkward kid the kid who had trouble fitting in

And ever since then I have loved these films

I saw the first movie at like 4 and now I’m 12 watching this and I’m thinking wow. My entire childhood is HTTYD and it means so much to my life and my personality and that’s why I was so glad my parents brought me and I’m blessed that Dreamworks made these movies because if they hadn’t idk what kind of person I would be today. This is why I appreciate httyd. They tell a good story, and not many films do that in a trilogy. They often loose sight of telling a good story in the need to make money, but httyd is popular for its story, and that's something I haven't seen in a while.

When I first started watching this series I thought it would be like any other kid film my parents were to show me

It showed me not everything goes planned and that u can’t choose how everyone thinks or does.....
About 4-5 more years later my parents divorced and I got so mad! Until I remembered this movie....I broke out in tears and ever sense then....

HTTYD is a masterpiece I will always hold close to my heart. I was little, maybe about four or five when a new friend introduced me to the first movie, the only one at the time. I fell in love with it. Some of my fondest memories are watching it with my family, blessed by an innocence of early life.
Years later, the sequel was released. I didn’t even know they were making one until it came out in the theaters. This had a new feeling, a movie that lacked the rich woodland and nerdy underdog characters. Stoic’s death wrecked me. Nonetheless, today I still adore the movie and consider it a great addition to the franchise.
As I grew up, so did these characters. I watched the first movie as a child, understanding the point of view of a scrawny outcast at the mercy of all the higher authorities. The second as a kid coming of age into a new world of responsibility. The third.. As a person who has ventured only so far in the journey of life, and entering a new world. HTTYD means so much to me, and I hope the final movie doesn’t disappoint.
Such a beautiful tribute to all of Hiccup and Toothless’s adventures. I got the Light Fury from Build a Bear yesterday and I’m really looking forward to getting her and the new movie too. I’ll admit it’s going to be so sad to see these two part ways though. It’s going to take every ounce of my being to not bawl my brains out!!

This is officially my new favorite song, it calms me, especially thanks to HTTYD.... This trilogy has been all part of my childhood! I have been watching this series ever since I was 5 (when it came out)! I’ve watched the first movie 142 times and the second movie 112 times! HTTYD reminds me of how I wish I had a friend I can always rely on such as Hiccup and Toothless... This video is so heartwarming and brings back such good memories! I also heard rumors that the third movie may be the end of the trilogy!!! I really hope that is not true and they go on to make a 4th, then a 5th, etc. I have CRIED EVERY TIME I listen to this. I have never had anything make me cry as much too! My friends at school are now worried and asked why I cried all day in high school! I also sat at lunch crying thinking of ways to keep this trilogy going! God help us all and keep it going 🙏 Like if you don’t want the story to end 🖤❤️🖤❤️🖤❤️🖤❤️🖤❤️🖤❤️🖤

I honestly cried after I watched the movie in the theatre. A lot of my childhood goes to this franchise, and I’m glad I grew up with Hiccup, Toothless, Astrid, Ruff and Tuff, Snotlout, and Fish Legs. From even the series to! I love it ❤️❤️❤️

I Have just finished Race to the Edge. It's been a while since I watched that show and it reminded me once again of how great and magical it was to return to my childhood. I got emotional when Dagur made his final sacrifice, Dagur becoming a friend to Dragon Riders, and fact that this was the last moment when it had a good ending, before Stoick's demise and dragons leaving forever. But I know that it's not forever. Bound between one-legged biking and one-tailed Night Fury, who forged a forbidden relationship that led to the end of the war between dragons and Vikings, will last forever. Thank you, Hiccup Haddock, the Third and Toothless. Thank you Astrid Hofferson and Stormfly. Thank you, FIshlegs Ingerman and Meatlug. Thank you Ruffnut, TUffnut and Barf and Belch. Thank you, Snotlout and Hookfang. Thank you so much for my childhood.

It's going to be hard to say goodbye to a franchise that I grew up on and has influenced me so much. I wish it would never end but then again you can relive the adventure by watching everything in order. All the shorts, Riders of Berk Defenders of Berk Race to the Edge. And you can do that again and again. But it's still not going to be easy to say goodbye to Toothless and Hiccup.

Ok..... *inhales deeply* this franchise has a much deeper meaning to me than it being just a few shows, shorts, and movies.The httyd franchise has become part of my family and soul. When I was young I was being bullied, that same year my parents divorced, and on top of all that I was getting verbally and physically abused. I was diagnosed with depression for a while. Until one day at school, everyone was talking about how we were going to watch a movie in the gym. Back in 2012 when I was 4. I had no idea the impact the movie would have in my life. I looked at Hiccup, and I felt his pain, I looked at him and saw that this scrawny little socially awkward viking, I thought this was going to be weirdest movie I would ever see. But when the movie finished I could not stop watching it.Ever since I saw the movie I would play HTTYD related games with my sister, and even pretend to be the girl version of Hiccup. Later when they came out with HTTYD Gift of the Night Fury, I just could not stop obsessing with How to Train Your Dragon. We also had seen the Book of Dragons, and I even looked up all the dragon classes to Remember them all, and I would quiz myself with looking up the dragons showed in the franchise so far, and guess what class they were ( I still do it with the newer drangons). I Remember when it was just me, my mom, and my sister, we would beg to get all the toothless build a bears, but because she was a single mom, she could never get enough money to buy two.
When the second HTTYD movie came out, I screamed with happiness, I was also no longer suffering with depression. I remember, my Abuela giving my mom money to take us to the movie theater to see the movie. I remember walking out of the theater with awe, joy, and sadness. I remember that I was crying when Hiccup told Toothless to go away, then when Hiccup realized it wasn't Toothless' fault, he said, " You're best friend. My best friend." It had just struck my memory that I was moving away, and I would have to leave my only and best friend, that summer.
Fast forward 4 years when I had finished watching all the tv shows (Defenders of Berk, Riders of Berk, and Race to the Edge) and I finally crawled out of my socially awkward stage, and finally made 2 friends (still better than 1 right?).
Fast forward to 2019, in February 22 almost Hiccup's birthday (February 29), and I had seen all the trailers, and was like omg Toothless is getting a girlfriend, something I wished thay had done after watching the first movie. I had also heard rumors that this was going to be the last movie of the franchise. I remember being like, they can't make it the last movie of the franchise. DreamWorks had made way too much money with this franchise. So when it came out, and in the end when Hiccup touched Toothless for the last time, and Toothless hugged him for the last time I saw what a true friendship was, I had been watching almost my whole life a true brotherhood bond, and friendship. Suddenly, a flood of all the adventures, moments, laughs, cries, stupid, mad, and happy times all flooded back into my memory. I cried, I didn't care who saw me, or what they thought about me. I cried with happiness and sadness. I had thought of all the movies, and shows, and shorts and thought, how could all of these movies, shorts, and tv shows affect me? To this day I still do not really know.
When they came out with How to Train Your Dragon: Homecoming. I jumped with happiness, and cried with joy. I knew that they had to make one last movie with Hiccup and Toothless' brotherhood.
To this day I still cry with joy and sadness, but I believe that there were dragons a long time ago. I believe that, " Great, grim, sky dragons that nested on cliff-tops like gigantic, scary birds. Little brown, scuttle dragons that hunted down the mice and rats in well-organized packs. Peposterously huge sea dragons that were twenty time as big as the Big Blue Whale. Some say that dragons retreated back into the seas leaving not a bone, nor fang, for men to remember them by. Others say they were nothing, but folktales to begin with... uh, I'm okay with thay. Legend say that when the ground quakes or lava spews from the Earth, it's the dragons letting us know they're waiting for us to figure out how to get along. Yes, the world believes that dragons are gone, if they ever existed at all, but we Berkians? We know otherwise. And we'll guard the secret, until the time comes when dragons can return in peace." - Hiccup Horrendous Haddock the Third

I miss Stoick but I’m glad they didn’t make a cliche moment where it shows a montage of someone surviving like most movies do. I love this franchise and story so much. Ever since I was a little boy and now I’m in junior year in high school. I will miss these movies but there couldn’t have been a better ending and it will forever stay in our hearts.
