Post office personnel shd be given work shop training to develop/learn customer friendly attitude. For this, refresher courses can be introduced to make them efficient and fruitful to the public.

Most of the post office employees are not aware about the schemes if you wanna start any new scheme we should give complete information about it. Better Government conduct monthly drive to their employees to update about new schemes so it will be helpful for elders who can't get information from Internet.
The postal employees are to work with respect kindness and guide the public and senior citizens with devotion. They must feel and not forget that They are public servants.

But post office employees are too much negligent and arrogant.. may be the reason they feeling they are central govt employees... that's why people are not attracted to any scheme of post office

on hearing uproar on FRDI bill (with bail-in clause), I prefered to shift my all taxpaid retirment funds (White money) from the nationalised bank to NSCs with 5 year tenure @7.8% pa to lock the diminishing interest rates, though there is no periodical interest payment or liquidity till 5 years. As I dont have Savings Bank account at Post office, I offered my Bank's SB A/c cheque to honour and issue NSCs to the tune of Rs.50 lacs. But, the Post Master insisted upon me to open SB A/c in the Post office, to honour the cheque. Is it correct? In the mean time, the rate of interest is reduced to 7.6% pa wef 01/01/2018.

Minimum 1/2 to 3/4 th day will be wasted for a single task. All the counters are occupied with agents. common people will be served only after agents work done. I never prefer the postoffice.
One time taking of application form in the counter for cancelling of matured RD takes nearly 3 hours.(four people are standing in front of me.) the counter lady is searching for the alphabets on the keyboard to type. and the joke part is... they will send that application to head postoffice that takes 3 working days. then they issue the cheque. for that i visited 3 days to collect and put it in savings bank.
It's bitter experience...but most of the branches gives good services...I'm regular customer...

Because of most post office employees engaged in counters of RD , savings bank account Nsc kVP's arrogant negligent non responsibility are the main causes for non successful schemes introduced in Department of POSTS. THEY HAVE PROPERLY TRAINED AND ORIENTED HOW TO DEAL WITH SENIOR CITIZENS WHEN THEY VISIT POST OFFICES IN THEIR DAY TODY TRANSCTIONS. THE SAME IS ALSO NECESSARY IN OTHER CITEZENS AND PUBLIC. PEOPLE ARE ALSO FACING MUCH DIFFICULTY AND INCONVIENCE PARTICUARLY IN CLAIMING DEASED PERSONS SCSSC AND FD'S RD accounts closing and final settlement of Amounts even though A clear nominee is given in postal records.
