@@minkenpark7389 So I finally figured it out. First, i switched to PC, so not sure if that is relevent here. What worked for me is pressing and holding the attack button while i was still in the air. Is the Hold dodge a neutral input? When I try without touching stick, I dodge forward, when I hold dodge while moving backwards I dodge too far away for the next hit to land.
A hold dodge without any movement input is called a “mid dodge” which actually does work for this if you’d prefer to use that, but there are cases where a hold dodge works better for repositioning. But in your case of dodging too far away, you must tap dodging instead of hold dodging. Make sure you’re holding that dodge input down long enough

Regarding the grapple bump, I noticed you hit them higher than me while in free training or in a game. I'm able to perform the combos, but not nearly as clean. How are you bumping them so high?
I have only one question, its the HD (Hold Dodge), if I hold dodge, I dodge forwards, how can I hold dodge and bring my character backwards? Edit: I already got it, if u had my problem, u need to (SECOND): "tap" dodge while u press "S" key (FIRST, in order), and u need to hold it a little. It has a strict timing too.

Man, it seems like I can't hit the blue attack with katana/longsword for some reason. It's like i'm late by milliseconds after hitting the grapple bump.
I'm on controller and using manual aim for the grapple so it's two inputs, then missing the vertical focus. Is the grapple setting the issue or is it still doable?
I don't really understand why katana combo uses horizontals instead of verticals, as V deals more damage. On a full combo, it's 1377 dmg with H, and 1453 with V and I don't see much differences in term of speed of execution. What's the deal please ?
I explain in the video that only certain attacks will make it so the following uppercut is undodgeable. For each weapon it’s either horizontal or vertical, and in the case of katana of course, the combo uses horizontal rather than vertical because the uppercut is able to be dodged if vertical is used
CAN YOU STILL grapple combo the bots? I have not been able to hit the heavy vertical after grappling a single time. the bot always gets up before. I'm charging the attack to blue and releasing
Whats the point of holding dodge in the grapple combo? For some reason Im really struggling with 3:30 Im doing the 3rd step holding w but im not close enough to the dude and im hitting nothing
I’m not sure what you mean. The combo at 3:30 isn’t a grapple combo, and there’s no dodge involved either. I assume you mean the staff one? There’s no dodge in that combo either though… holding W in that staff combo allows you to get close enough to hit the first standing horizontal and juggle.

It looks exactly like in your video, the only difference is that my bot falls earlier and has time to get up.

You can do everything that's in the game with controller. It's harder cause the game requires precise inputs, but you can do everything that M&K does. PC vs Consoles is another thing tho cause of fps.
There's 2 types of dodges (Theoretically 3). One you trigger when you tap the button, it's called a tap-dodge, and one you trigger when you hold the button you can guess what it's called lol. Tap dodges give you more I-frames but they have a longer animation, they give you more distance, they're more easily punishable, and compared to hold dodges you can't attack as fast. Hold dodges have less I-frames and it's a shorter animation wich allows you to attack faster and gain initiative. The third one is called a mid-dodge, wich is just a hold dodge but you let the animation finish than attack after it, wich makes it a bit faster than buffering from a hold dodge into an attack.@@majinludwig6130
Thanks lynx. And yeah majin, these combos are just as easy to perform on controller. I even used universal terminology instead of mouse and keyboard stuff like “rmb”
Honestly if the bot only barely dodges you probably have the timing down well enough for it to work on players, since the bot is slightly faster at dodging than a human. But still if you can get to the point where you can consistently land it on the combo bot that’s ideal

Guessing PC only or low MS
All these combos are 100% doable on console
@@ChefOfTheDead my inputs aren’t going in quick enough. Everything is delayed. My ping may be too high
Ping actually shouldn’t be a factor at all for whether they’re doable or not either, although timing will be slightly different. Make sure you’re pre-inputting at the earliest possible point. You can queue up inputs within a short period of time
Out of curiosity though are you playing on Xbox One?
@@ChefOfTheDead yes
For Honor video???
Huh?
@@ChefOfTheDead For Honor Content...we need it, brother.
@@Emeraldknight2k not from me 🫥
@@ChefOfTheDead 😥😥
nah these combos doesnt work anymore after the patch. even the longsword V-HD-V bot gets away already after the 1st V. playing on pc, lan 65 ping, stable 60+ fps
They absolutely do still work. You need to practice your input speed/timing
@@ChefOfTheDead i can do the basic grapple combo using heng sword (combat mode on, w/disengage). for long sword tho... when combat mode is on bot just gets away after 1 normal horizontal kek not sure y
@@ChefOfTheDead just found out it was fps problem smh. i was playing in laptop so i capped it to 61 (1650ti). today i decided to update the gpu driver, tweaked some settings in nvdia control panel & uncapped naraka fps. my fps now is stable 80-140 depending on area& wats happening. decided to try the basic grapple combo again & i can do it consistently now.🤦♂
i do not get it. i am spamming grapple the second i knock them up. they almost hit the ground before it goes off. my computer is not shit. ping is fine. why. fuck this game
Grapple even a little bit before the uppercut hits, and make sure you’re aiming it in the right spot
Rip controllers all around
You can do everything that's in the game with controller. It's harder cause the game requires precise inputs, but you can do everything that M&K does. PC vs Consoles is another thing tho cause of fps.
@@lynxofhungary8409what’s a hold dash? I’m on controller and when I dash backwards, I’m too far to connect afterwards.
@@majinludwig6130 Hold dodge is holding the dodge key, which makes the dodge shorter. Think of it as starting to sprint, then immediately attacking
Bro the bot dodges the fv of the combo 9/10 times for me trying to go as fast as I can smh
Honestly if the bot only barely dodges you probably have the timing down well enough for it to work on players, since the bot is slightly faster at dodging than a human. But still if you can get to the point where you can consistently land it on the combo bot that’s ideal
does anyone know why my final nunchuck vertical keeps getting dodged by bot?
The bot does tend to dodge that if the timing isn’t perfect, although if it’s close, don’t worry, it will still work on a real player
@@ChefOfTheDead thanks so much for replying ^_^ i appreciate it! i nailed the katana/hengsword combo all thanks to your video, thanks soo much!
