    I would never have thought to squeeze out several colours to use on the one tissue paper, let alone have several values of those colours.
    Looking forward to trying this.
    Thanks for this wonderful tip.

    When I am staining tissue papers, I generally paint them on sheets of plastic. Works like a charm. Love your neutral colors!

    Great info as always, Jane. I want to mention that freezer paper from the grocery store works as well as palette paper and is less expensive. You will have to tape it down though because it comes off a roll and likes to curl rather than lay flat.

      I was thinking the same thing except it’s a bit thinner so it tends to wrinkle when wet. The palette paper seems to hold up better with the wet paint. Freezer paper does make great stencils and masks when ironed onto the substrate (waxy side down).

      @@RsJaneP I haven't used freezer paper or palette paper for a while. I use foam plates now. They are cheap, I don't have to flatten them and I don't mind throwing them away.

    Love those colours and textures, Jane, as well as the ethereal translucency of using tissue. And thank you for sharing the peeling part, it’s somehow satisfying to watch and hear (as well as do…at least for me). :-)

    I love earth tones. I'm an earth sign and an earthy person. Beautiful pages. I've just discovered how good the Blick brand products are. I purchased a simple Blick glue stick and I was surprised how much better the quality was compared to name brands that crafters use.

    I love working with tissue paper, but never thought about laying it on palette paper. I’ve tried waxed paper and lifting it carefully in spots to help dry. YOUR METHOD LOOKS SO MUCH BETTER !! Thanks !! xx

    Wow what a treat having a longer video from you Jane - thank you so much. Always inspired by the things you show us. Cant wait to have a go with this - have just gotten into collage a bit more recently and really enjoy creating my own papers with paint and ink. This will be very exciting to try. Cheers, Deb T (NZ)

    The neutrals are just as “gorgeous “ as the “gorgeous” colors but you’re right, they don’t yell as loudly for your attention. Instead, they kind of *suggest* that you pay attention. ;o) Lost you for a while. Glad you’re “back”

    Thanks for sharing Jane! Does the art tissue make a difference over regular tissue? Do you have a problem with them sticking together after they dry? I’ve had them bond together ruining both sheets.

    Do you attach with matte medium?

      Yes. I'll be doing another video on that, but many of my videos show my basic collage technique, in which I use matte medium as the adhesive and the top coat.

    The tissuepaper is it the kind of paper we pack oprundet food ? Its difficult for me to see in the video and when I translate in google it tells me it’s the paper we use for lunch to clean the mouth 😳😁🇩🇰❤️

    • @karlasolomon8128
      @karlasolomon8128 4 роки тому

      Tina Bendz in German I think seidenpapier is the closest translation. It is used for gifts inside gift bags, or sometimes stores will wrap clothes in it before putting in the bag. It is not the same as serviettes / napkins for wiping food from lips.
