Great tips, thank you. The thing that automatically comes to mind with chikankari sarees is pearls, they look amazing together. The colour element need not always be added with sapphire, ruby and/or emerald. There are a whole range of semi-precious stones in different colours - turquoise, garnet, amethyst, tiger eye, cat's eye, opal, aquamarine - these can also be used very effectively in combination with pearls.
Useful tips. Would like add further: in 70s mukaish work was done with silver foil on Cambridge, chiffons& lawn fabrics. Now why are pearls so under rated? These days cultured pearls come in a assortment of lovely pastels& pure ones in black colour& light pink& grey too but r very expensive like Tahitian pearls you would know. Pearls lend so much elegance too Lucknowi work also.
Sir my cousin wore a white luknow chiken saaree on her daugters wedding reception which had white stones and cutdane ka kam she wore a daimoud and emerald set with that saaree she looked great

I have a grey colour saree with thrade work I usually ware pearl necklace with it but if I want to add colour elements in the jewellery what colour would look best with it
White pearls will look best and add any colour such as green or ruby but not dominating please
