Am a reseller for and also running Stanceparts air cups in my car with 5/3 air valves for stepped drive height application. Vlog to follow on this application...
I've been using air cups, I am now free to drive anywhere, mall parking lot, steep driveway, etc. I am not worrying my front lips anymore. These cups is pure gold for me.
I have been a fan of lowered vehicles since high school. Still going strong many years later. All of my current vehicles are lowered on lowering springs for daily driving. I would love to upgrade to complete air ride systems in the future, however price is a major factor. If you look at the price of the Fortune Auto Air Cup system, I don't see the benefit of using the Fortune Auto Air Cup system over a full air ride system offered by other manufacturers. Prices are basically the same. When I am able to upgrade to a complete air ride system, I will definitely save up and get a "fully adjustable" air ride system with full functionality over the Fortune Auto air cup system. Just my thoughts. Thanks.👍🏼
My GT4 is low and has lots of overhang in the front for the track. These work for me. A real necessity because I like to drive it on the road and my driveway is super steep.
pin this. I only would love to put air cups on with out question if you were able to drive aired up all the time and low as you can comfortably drive in your streets crusing around without a compensating feeling since youre on coilovers..... then park it some where and air out.
What is the ride quality? I’m looking to lower my car and get away from lowering springs it’s toooo harsh!!! It’s got to be a way of lowering your car and keep stock ride quality. 59 years old I love my car low, but I don’t want the bumpy ride. I want stock ride.
I own a house only reachable from the main road via a 2 mile gravel road. Is your system capable to raise the front and drive a 2 mile gravel road while it remains raised?
I feel like this isn’t a pure static platform. Essentially it’s still a coilover, you can adjust your ride height how you want it no like a typical coil no? Or is this plug and play with no adjustments on where you want your ride height?
@@ChicaneMedia Can you drop a link to where I can buy one? Also do You need a management system like a true air suspension setup? Cause this is a GREAT idea but I’m still confused on how this works.
Do you recommend cup kit on "track" cars? I don't want the suspension to be too soft. When I had bags on coilovers on one of my cars, it was still too "bouncy/soft". That car was a fast turbo'd sedan, so I didn't want to be bouncy, I wanted it to be solid planted to the floor. So I ditched the whole airbag/coilovers 3 months after I installed it.
Probably not a good idea tbh because it looks like the setup severely reduces spring travel since it makes it use a much smaller spring. If your car needs more travel probably not a good idea
I resell Stanceparts air cup kits, and also have it installed in my Honda Prelude. I've driven with them aired up for 3 years straight as I fitted bigger wheels and needed the clearance between my fenders and tyres as I had my coilovers turned down super low, so driving static low was not an option or I would have ripped my fenders off a long time ago. The reason you can't drive them aired up (or it is advised not to) is because the air cup piston compresses your springs in order to lift the weight of the body. In doing so your spring rate changes and becomes so stiff that going over the smallest of bumps (even a pebble or stone in the road) causes the car to hop in an unstable manner which is very unsafe, not to mention possible strain on other suspension components. If the road surface is smooth you can get away with driving aired up. Anyway, to combat this I've been experimenting with 5 way 3 position air valves which allows you to step the air cup piston movement, which means you can determine how much air pressure is in the cups at any given time. Quarter to three quarters of lift gives you a comfortable drive (obviously within reason). I'll be uploading an upcoming vlog sometime soon where I document the installation of these 5/3 valves in one of my customer car's. Check out my channel and hit subscribe to view once it goes live ;-)
@@TechniqBB6 you the man. Sounds intriguing. I want tein flex z coilies on an elgrand that’s getting kitted out and these looks mega. Ride with them up. Park up and slam it 😎🙌
if air ride is done correct, you should NOT have any problems with air line or bags popping. with bags you can drive low and smooth. i have air bags on my G35 for 5 years now. and I've never had any issues. bags are way better.
Or maybe some people don’t want to go through the phase of transitioning from coils to bags, so this is a viable option for them. Bags are not always better. That’s your opinion, but that’s NOT a fact.
Would you run aircups? Let us know! Check out wheels, tires, and suspension over at www.fitmentindustries.com

air cups are definitely a great option! 🤘
how hard were they to install?
Interesting. So you're basically static except when you need to go up a driveway/speed bump. I think I like these more than bags tbh.
murrrrrrr.... I'm the complete opposite
Well if u can't drive with them while lifted.
I feel like it's definitely easier to take care compared to bags and more convenient so I prefer it too
Just bought a 2024 gr86 and I want to install a wide body kit and with these it will be perfect
Who ever designed this is genius! Would definitely consider this for my car 👌
It's a good thing for static guys but not a replacement for complete air ride
It wasn't meant to be, though...

There’s a company called Stanceparts based outta the UK; their complete system runs about $1100 USD

Just learned something new. Thanks 👍
Definitely intrigued but I’ll keep this in mind
Any update on how well these hold up to daily use?
Im looking at installing these when financially able to, so practical
Do you need to stop to use it? Can it be used while rolling?
Stopping at every speed bump would be annoying.
U can use it while driving
so you going over speed bumps at 60 mph ??

The reversed is just air suspension lol

Wondering if these would work with active suspension or cars with spring buckets
Will aircups be able to adjust on the go or do you have to stop and them de-air before going again
On the go. Controled like regular air suspension with a remote

Yes you can
What is the highest speed you can drive while the ride is lifted?
Is it somehow possible to ride the car in the "up" position and only have it down when you are at a car meet/show so to speak?

Do you make this for the 97-02 Porsche Boxster? If so, when it's aired out how much drop is it from stock?
You drive with it aired out, you don't drive it when it's lifted
Can i put this on my lower truck ??
So i can go lower and still clear speed bump??
Could we drive like 100km/hr while it is lifted?
So you can’t drive at all with it aired up? Like not on the highway or past 30mph?
Best of both worlds
Why not make the most affordable air cup suspension?
What about a combination of these struts and different management though? Hmm 🤔
They need to make 1 for the mk7 gti
how does the preload work since the strut needs to be extended
best of both worlds although looks too expensive
It's alot cheaper then a hydraulic setup
Plus you can't drive with them been lifted..

Lifted

Lowering springs

Coilovers with air cups
Air bags

I wouldn’t recommend doing it, but you can!

nope not designed for that
That's what Bags designed for. This is not for Ricing.
