I feel that the Camp Chef is probably the most versatile tailgate grill and camp grill that I have ever used, it has given me the flexibility to go from the campsite to my backyard BBQ and back. The Camp Camp Chef Stove has three 30,000 BTU burners so it will get hot, and that is what most grills do not do very well, especially in the winter when it gets cold. I cook all year and that's what I love about this grill, I also love the flexibility that you can go from a flat top griddle to a full-time camp oven and grill in seconds, you can even buy a pizza oven. I really don't think that you can go wrong when you buy this grill. It will cook a steak as good as my $1200 Kamado Joe and it is a fraction of the cost.

Do you think you could do canning on this? I would love to be able to do everything outside when canning. I would love for it to be multipurpose!

How long before one expects to see rusting issues? I live in TN and just bought this awesome looking Grill, and I have it covered out on the balcony. But I suspect the summer humidity is not going to be kind to it!
I think that the real beauty of this grilling system is that it is modular. The grill is separate and if it rusts or needs to be replaced it is easy and inexpensive to do so. Enjoy it we use our all the time at home.
Does grease drip to the ground under the grill? I would use this on a brick patio.
I have mine on a pad just in case. but the grease runs off into the grill and that needs to be cleaned out once and a while. If you are using the griddle it comes with a grease tray and you just need to adjust the feet of the base so it runs into it. I rarely have a problem. Have a great weekend.
