My Cat Sits for Moving Vehicles

Mallory has learned to sit and let traffic pass her by before proceeding. She follows protocol most of the time, except when the vehicle is huge, like a bus or loud like a truck with an empty trailer attached, worse if the vehicle is huge and loud. She will try to run in every which direction without pause. Being as close to home as we were in this video, she would run straight home if spooked. She is very fearful of the yellow school 🚍. The sight of one in the distance, no matter how quiet, sends her scrambling.
Hence, our walks are usually at nights and during less busy hours of the day, so that she can take her time and enjoy the walks. #catvideo #mallorythecat #catbehavior #catwalk

So you taught her to stay when big things passr?
The swishing tail shows she is upset about some things...
And most cats do not like kids or things containing lots of kids ;-)

Yes, I taught her to wait instead of running. However, if it's a loud vehicle, like the garbage trucks, she will run. In such case, I would either pick her up or attach her leash.
Funny enough, Mallory loves children. She is an extrovert. She runs up to strangers on the street every opportunity she gets. Bella avoids adults but will approach small humans. She will sit close to them, but far enough away that should they try to pet her, she could move away quickly 😻

@@mallorycatgallery Mallory is an exceptional cat-if she is that fearless with humans you must have been a good cat mom, because there seem to have been no bad encounters. Bella is a special cat as well ;-)
