- Taking u out to a deep gheto in remote Pretoria.This gheto is very close to vilakazi near mabopane station. I always find myself being pulled to places were they say dont go. i want to navigate and bring results.others would say i go out to look for trouble.
But in reality i go to look for content for u guys dangerous as it maybe.There are ghetos with no funny business but this one made me jump out of my skin.
When i met the last 2 guys i thought now this is it. I put my hand at my back as if i am about to pull a dangerous weapon and stood firm by the corner. They looked at me and passed quickly. I greeted them and i could see a sign of disappointment and despair in their eyes.A good deal had just slipped away.
I applauded myself with the technique i used and i know it cant be repeated.
Mabopane is under Pretoria in Gauteng Province. This area i crossed is a no man's land. only the locals cross here.The thugs are from the same community as i was told along the way. This area is very dangerous as i was told before and now along the way. even if u are more than 2 dont walk here if u not familiar to the area.
I risked going were i was warned not to.I wanted to see for myself. Yet i was afraid like a rat seen a cat. mmmmh..that was a horrible but adventurous interesting walk i have never taken before.

Just a suggestion, I think you should go live when walking on these roads incase something happens people will know what happened even when you get jumped or something also for your safety too

As a South African who stayed in this area from 2005-2014,not happy with the level of development in this area.Nothing changed much.Roads still dust and the main tarred road,is covered by potholes.Very disappointed

The thing is you can be in the wrong place in the wrong time.Not necessarily in a no go area.Criminals are everywhere in this country.When opportunity strikes then they act . Irrespective of the area.

Some of these areas you are exaggerating they are not as bad as you point them to be.. an intimidated person can be seen from a distance and that attracts danger in every area.. I've walked places where you would taste danger in the air and smell it so strong like a stinch of blood, but if you're a local You know the walk and the talk of the different places and it's not easy for you to fall pray

During the time you walk criminals are not active my brother, if you want criminals to chase you go to the train station early as 5am on Saturdays or Sundays anywhere in Pretoria(Mabopane, Sosha, Mams, JHG, CBD...) or even here in Durban.
But I don't wanna be chased by criminals. I just want to do content about places not to put my life at risk brother. So thanks but no I am ok travelling day time🤝🙂

I am from surrounding areas. The area you are in is quiet rough, but I can tell you, Pretoria is much safer than Joburg.

U right..some people told me about Sgandaf near a thatched tarven is very dangerous. Also vilakazi some areas.i wanted to go but had to start with this one.i think i have had enough of wrong turns😀😀

Good question, first of all ,i dont pretend to be scared..i will be scared especially when the place become weird and when i ask people and they tell me more about the danger of the place.I ask a lot of people not recorded before engaging myself into such dangerous non go areas, not everyone is keen to be asked on camera. I respect that. it doesnt mean if u brave u not scared. I engage myself in places not shown on tv or media, thats content creation.
To answer your question why do i go there in the first place?....
This is what i do, this is a job for me, i take my audience where they can't or fear to go.I show the world through my camera lens.

Dude u walk through all the places that very few dare too. Take a White friend with u on these walks it will be very interesting. Me Being black n born during the Apartheid years I still felt safer then. Very difficult to believe these videos u do in these areas that are so dangerous but u just breeze through on ur walks in da Ghettos 😜....let's not give the Tourists the impression they can come do the same...unless they walking around with heavily armed security 👍👊👊

But this is what we do,this is what we signed for.To make content that appeals to people, its scary when u have head bad about an area u dont know, but u go for it and when content comes out that means it was a success.I have many wrong turns behind scenes.Really bad places at a wrong time, i have gone through all that. But i chose which content to give the audience not my behind scenes scary encounters. I await sharing them on channel members as the channel grows.
