Daisy Jones and the Six on Amazon Prime is my must-watch program of the year so far. A fantastic story, beautifully shot, and has a wardrobe that made me go weak at the knees. It only felt right that we hunt out the patterns for some of the looks.

I would really like a Find Your Pattern for the movie Chocolat. Juliette Binoche wears some gorgeous outfits.
Great suggestion!
Oh my gosh I loved the book and adored the show!!! Could not wait to watch it. Great job on the patterns! I was a pre-teen/teen in the 70s so I remember so many of these looks! The next trick is…where do we find the fabrics ???
Oh yay! A new "Find my pattern" video! Love these. I haven't seen the series, but I really like the 70s style, and I feel really tempted to make up some of these. Thanks!
Wonderful selection to evoke the 1970s. Another suggestion is the Edwardian styles in the recent Lady Chatterley's Lover. There are so many gorgeous dresses and her yellow velvet wrap jacket obsesses me. Thanks for considering. :)
Great kaftans, Kate. I remember the era well!
I haven't seen the programme but I can see why you love the clothes! I've been admiring the women's clothes in The Gold (which I strongly recommend). It's set in the 80s but a lot of the women's clothes look really good (the less said about the men's clothes the better)!
Beautiful pattern choices .I have the original 70's patterns that I bought during that period. The sizes then do not equate with today's sizes,a size 10 then would now be a size 4 or smaller , something to keep in mind when buying original 70's patterns.
This is life review, as I was a teen in the 70s. We sure used yards and yards of fabric back then!
Love this type of video!❤
I loved loved loved the series!!!! Took me back to my teen years. I still have a few patterns from that time, so I have been digging them out to decide what to make. It seems like the 70’s style is so popular again. Great pattern choices!!!
You are so welcome!
The 70's forever! I was there.
Wow, fantasic inspiration for something summery. Thanks a lot.
My pleasure 😊
I do remember this fashion the first time around. I’m from California, and all of these were so popular in the 1970s. They kind of were built for that weather, though, sadly
Brilliant - some perfect choices here. Thanks for sharing ❤
Such a fun video!
I love these videos, thanks for all your hard work! Please do Lady Chatterly’s Lover, such gorgeous clothes!!
I’ve been doing my own find the pattern this morning for Mother of Pearl Thank you so much for recommending Fashion Reimagined I saw it last night and it was brilliant As a sewing community we have the opportunity to be producing more sustainable clothes, but the fabrics we choose and how much we produce is crucial.
Wow! Amazing Kate. You nailed all of those fabulous outfits. Would love to sew them all & challenge myself with floaty fabrics. ❤❤
Love this thanks Kate! Could you do one for the Durrell's please - I love Louisa's outfits ❤
Great suggestion! We will add it to the list!
How is it that I've never heard of this show?! The 70's was my decade, and I still love the fashions and fabrics. You showed one image of Daisy in high-waisted jeans and a white laced up the front tank top, camisole top. I made a top quite similar to that. My boyfriend's (now my husband) grandmother thought I was wearing just an under garment with my jean short shorts. At the time it was a very risqué look, and I loved it. Oh Hot Pants! To have those skinny toned legs again! Thanks for finding all those great looks. I definitely want to make a floaty top.
Floaty tops are so fun to wear!
Great video; not seen the prog but the 70s vibe of my tween/teens was very much felt 😘😍 I'm more inclined to watch the series now, so well recommended 😘, and really loved the patterns so, once again, 👏👏👏👏👏
Glad you enjoyed it!
Great vlog - I sewed my own clothes as a teenager in the 70s and had that high waistband with the gathered bust detail. I loved it and wore it til it fell apart - both a maxi and mini version. Photos from the 70s are very grainy - your screenshots look better than my originals LOL I feel inspired to make a floaty sheer top and a caftan.
Thanks for sharing!!
I adore your tv get the look videos! You are awesome!
You are too kind!
I would like a Find your Pattern on the Frankie Drake Mysteries. I love this series and some of the clothes are so beautiful
What a wonderful feature! I've always wanted to find patterns from the Mamma Mia movie..,. especially the peasant tops and the dress that Meryl Streep wore to her daughter's wedding!
Thanks for the suggestion Gayle!
Have I missed Find the Pattern for The House of Gucci? I'm so glad the 70s style is coming back that was my era for 'hot pants' and long coats❤️
Would love to see a Find the Pattern episode for the fashions on the series 1923 with Harrison Ford and Helen Mirren. I’m obsessed with Cara’s and Alexandra’s blouses and dresses!
Oooo! Great shout! Thanks for the suggestion Justine!
Please can we get one of these amazing videos for sex education (mainly for gillian Anderson outfits!)
Loved Daisy’s jean halter top and everything Camila wore
Fabulous Kate . Thankyou 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼🎉❤️
Yay! Thank you!
Ah! The magical 70s...when I was young, beautiful and everyone wanted to be Stevie! Thanks Kate, I may have to make a caftan and swan about!
Do it!! Gotta love a floaty caftan!
Please please please consider doing a Find that Pattern for White Lotus!
Amazing video Kate! I too loved Daisy Jones and the Six for the story, the musicm and of course, the FASHION! As a teenager in the 70's, my heart sings to be making these garments again! I'm raiding my pattern stash for the original designs I made back then (a little grading up is in order from my 16 year old size 😂). Closet Core has been designing 70's vibe garments with the Nicks dress, Mitchell trousers and the Jude Jeans. I think I need to binge watch Daisy again this weekend!
Love these. Thank you!
Wow Kate, fabulous round up of patterns from this show and likewise I loved it and am obsessed with the clothes, will read the book and most likely have to watch it again. Thanks for your dedicated work.
Wonderful! I will have to give it a read too!
I enjoyed your vlog, I kept imagining my youngest DIL in most of them😁. Have a great weekend yourself 👍
Great patterns x
Thank you 😊
I’ve had that first vogue pattern for about 10 years! Maybe I’ll finally make it now 😂
We've given you the nudge!!
I've yet to watch Daisy Jones, but have heard any great things. What I LOVE about your videos Kate are the introductions to new and (for me) unheard of pattern designers. Just bought the Waves & Wild Superstar Bra to make some of the cropped versions ready for the summer months! 😍
Yay! Thank you!
Love this! SO much fun 🙂
Thank you!! 😊
Wonderful! My youngest son is a huge Daisy fan, any men’s fashion tips?
Love this! Super job with the pattern matching!
Glad you like it!
I was just thinking “I wonder when the foldline will do another find the pattern episode?” Perfect timing!
It's like we read your mind!!
Oh, I’ll have to look this up, thanks for the recommendation. You may have covered this but if not I’d really appreciate it if you could do The Serpent which has a lush 70s wardrobe.
We did do that one, so your wish is my command! thefoldline.com/2021/02/20/the-serpent-sewing-pattern-picks/
@@TheFoldLine yay! 😃
Oh, and anything from Mad Men!!!
I wish I had saved my patterns from the 70's. I was in high school and college- we really wore that stuff? ;)
❤
❤️❤️❤️
I grew up in the 70’s and it wasn’t pleasant for this husky kid poly and ester wasn’t husky kid friendly 😮 but I endured it.
xXX👍👍👍
👍🥰😍👗👗🧵
