Unless they go into fhag in ahsoka show again.
Ppl guesses is wifh Disney saying palpatine in episode 9 a “clone” and real one sfill around this is the Guess:
If follow fantasy tropes with dark elves and evil gods/liches then in Star Wars it’s the Chiss and palpatine. Chiss pretty much have their own empire and made deal with palpatine with him pretty much a lich on dark “magic” and trying fo cheat death whatever means possible. So palpatine is probably with the ascendancy in a husk, barely alive state with them keeping him going till palpatine achieve what he wants.

That was the whole point of the Empire being in Lothall. Palpatine knew of the power of World btw Worlds before everyone. Kanaan and Ezra were destined to open the door, and Ahsoka was destined to be saved by Ezra. The episode when Ezra pulled Ahsoka marked the importance of both Ezra and Kanaan. Without them, Ahsoka would either have still been Fulcrum or found and killed by Vader. I love Rebels...the writing...my god, was so spot on.

I agree it is very tricky to introduce time travel, but I think it was handled beautifully in this episode, and they sealed the portal and it was destroyed so it won't get used again. And they killed Kanan in such a way that if they tried to save him it would have killed them all. And with the Emperor, he couldn't figure out how to get in because he didn't have that stone tablet that showed Ezra how to get in, and once he got in Palps could sort of reach through and almost got in, but they sealed it and it broke so he can't now.

Ahsoka was alone in her mooment with vader - and since she just collapsed the floor for him as he was about to kill her it didnt effect anyone elses survival at that moment.

25:30 I think the best way to think about Ezra's influence on saving Ahsoka while in the World-Between-Worlds, and the concept of time-travel in Star Wars is this: The story of Star Wars is set in stone. It can't be changed; not the past, present, or future. Ezra was always going to go to the World-Between-Worlds and pull Ahsoka through; she was never going to be killed by Vader here. Likewise, while Ezra was tempted to pull Kanan through, he didn't. He was never going to, and no one in the future ever will.

I usually have mixed feelings about using time travel too, but in this instance where the force only let Ezra save Ahsoka (as I interprete this), it is fine for me because Ahsoka is not just any Jedi that is only part of the living force, but she also has the force of the Daughter in her (because she transfered her life energy into Ahsoka). This gives Ahsoka more relevance and maybe force related properties that allow her to do stuff that no other Jedi could do... I hope that this will be further explored in the Ahsoka show (Dave filloni has probably thought this time travel thing through before integrating such a controversal topic into star wars but because we only got these few episodes, the viewers cannot be sure about the correct interpretation...)

So for starters up until now this last season has been filled up for the finale that's going to be the very next video that you guys post. The in between episode where each of the crew was reacting to canaan's death was very much needed and to show exactly how much Hera means to Chopper that's why he was by her side the entire time. So yes he is our psychotic little murder gremlin but at least he has a heart. Having the force explored in this way which hasn't been seen since the aforementioned mortis arc is probably some of the best Jedi adjacent content that we have seen for years. And not only did we get Ian's return as Palpatine( in the season 2 premiere of originally it was Sam Witwer who is the voice of Maul who had voiced the emperor ) but we also got a surprise guest appearance from Malcolm McDowell as one of the creepy old men who was always following Palpatine in the original trilogy. Ahsoka even though it may not seem like it is definitely one of the most powerful force users that is currently residing in the galaxy. Given in the span of what from her perspective is a single day she worked with the others to fight 3 inquisitors Maul Vader and the emperor. And she walked away from all three of those without a scratch on her. I hope you guys are prepared for the finale because none of us were and the next two episodes definitely maintain that extremely high Benchmark that was set by rebels in the previous finale

Just so you know: The World Between Worlds is more a netherworld of The Force, where time and space are irrelevant, and knowledge is ever-present, which, in the wrong hands, could be used to alter the workings of The Force and the universe. This plane will be a major factor in the upcoming Ahsoka miniseries. When you watch the final 2 episodes of SW: Rebels, you'll really be prepared for the rest of The Mandoverse, esp. Ahsoka and Skeleton Crew...

17:41 - You can see Ahsoka saving Vader's life here by creating that hole that he'd fall into. She didn't do it to save herself. Its a big detail but its hard to miss. ALSO, this is the first time Vader sees someone disappear in front of him. This event is probably how Palpatine found out about it which led to his focus here in Season 4. See, its like poetry, it rythems. Not to mention Vader was probably shitting himself when Obi-Wan disappeared in front of him in Episode 4, probably thinking to himself, "Oh God, its happening again!"

Good watch, good reaction! Holden for sure now understands why in the Mandalorian finale of season 2, besides Luke some were expeculating that it could be Ezra showing up... Ezra is now a Jedi, and he's the influence that drives Ahsoka into looking for him in her future show!... Ezra also relates to the World-Between-Worlds and the Force in a way that the Jedi had forgotten since the Old Republic era!...

This last episode, World between Worlds, was so impactful for us Clone Wars fans especially. For context, when this aired, there was no upcoming Ahsoka show, she had not shown up in the Mandalorian or the Book of Boba Fett, and there was no Clone wars season 7. This was her most current appearance. On top of that, for us fans of her character specifically, we had "lost" her after season 5 of CW. We went about 3 years thinking she may have died in order 66 before she showed up in Rebels. We got a season of her, then it appeared that she met her fate at the hands of Vader, but it was still ambiguous. We had to wait another 2 years for this to aire to find out she actually survived. This was a rollercoaster of emotions for fans of Ahsoka for quite a few years.
Additionally, the importance this episode for the Star Wars galaxy is huge. If Palpatine gains control of the World between Worlds, he wins. He can undo anything, change anything. The Original trilogy will never happen, he will win. Ezra literally saved the entire galaxy with Ahsoka's guidance here.
And yes, I also think that dealing with time travel in a show is dangerous. However, I love what they did with it here. Opened it, saved one character whose death was not certain anyway (this could be how things happened all along), then sealed it off, hopefully forever, not ever creating a paradox. Now with the upcoming Ahsoka show, we rumored to deal with the World between Worlds again, but I hope they don't, or at least don't break anything.

Do you remember in "Twilight of the Apprentice", the Season 2 premiere when Minister Tua was afraid of her life and asked the crew of the Ghost to help her escape Lethal? If you go back, you will see her tell the crew that there is a reason besides abstracting resources from the planet that there was another reason why the Empire was there and order by the Emperor himself.
But then she died by that bomb set on the shuttle ramp which led to Kanan and Ezra having to duel Darth Vader. The "World Between Worlds" is what Tua was talking about.

Honestly, going into Twilight of the Apprentice, I totally expected Ahsoka to die. I even predicted that she would fight Vader to distract him while Kanan and Ezra got away. I think even Dave Filoni considered killing her at that point because he mentioned the possibility of when Ahsoka swiped Vader's face mask, he would bring his saber up and stab her in the chest.
It took years for this to flesh out, but what makes that fight still meaningful, despite the fact that Ezra messed with time to save her, is when you think about it symbolically. Ahsoka had very much moved on from her tragic past of being thrown out of the Jedi Order, then invited back, then walking away, then all of the Jedi getting slaughtered. Her life now is all about helping people that the Empire hurts that would otherwise get no help from anyone, even the Rebel Alliance. Her saying "I'm no Jedi" and declaring that she was going to avenge Anakin was her getting stuck in the pain of her past. Fighting Vader was literally fighting her past. He was going to kill her when she broke the floor to save him. Ezra saved her by pulling her to her future, both literally and figuratively. And let's not forget Morai, and the convoluted symbolism of how she started appearing when Anakin transferred the Daughter's life force into Ahsoka, so Ahsoka is now a part of the symbolic manifestation of the light side of the Force (but Luke is also that...)
I totally agree with you, Holden. Time travel, alternate universes, fake deaths, etc. can get really problematic really fast because they cheapen sacrifices and big moments if they can just be undone. (That's what made Once Upon a Time go way downhill.) But Filoni managed to use time travel in a way that was symbolic and impactful, without taking from the impact of other moments. Star Trek definitely has the most stories that play around with time travel and alternate universes. Some of them are really good. Some of them are really bad. The Ahsoka live-action series has teased that it's going to the World Between Worlds, which honestly has me seriously worried. I'm still excited, but like you said, it has the potential of seriously ruining the big moments of previous Star Wars content. I mean, I'm not a huge fan of the sequels, but even I like them enough that I don't really want them messed with.

Dave Filoni is a fucking genius. I too am iffy when it comes to time travel but he made it work perfectly in my opinion. If you remember S2 E1 Minister Tua mentions “I’ve discovered the true reason why the Empire is on Lothal. Direct orders from the emperor.” Something along those lines but she gets blown up before she can relay the information. Then In the season 2 finale after Vader walks away we see Ahsoka walking into the sith temple and we all wondered how they walked away from that fight both alive and we finally get the answer. If Palpatine was able to access this time travel portal before Ezra destroyed it, would’ve been nothing that could stop him. The voices heard when Ezra first entered the portal are from the prequels, OG trilogy, sequels, and everything else in between and it’s cool when you notice the extensive amount of voices ranging from Jyn Erso in Rogue One, Rey from the trash sequels, and of course Leia, ObiWan, Yoda, Qui Gon, Leía and a few more

  • @SonSosa
    @SonSosa Рік тому

Palpatine was able to open the portal and see Ezra and Ahsoka because he is very skilled with dark magic like the nightsisters and basically mastered every form of it just like how he did with the force. That's why he looks like a witch with the big pot and he is using magic to try and capture them. How much I miss Rebels.

Because the world between worlds is not about time travel...Ahsoka Even knows if she follows Ezra through his time portal she Might ceased to exist, Or just screw everything up.. “Truly wonderful the mind of a child is.” - Yoda, Attack of the Clones
“What is this place?” - Obi-Wan on Mortis
“A Force that consists of two parts. Living beings generate the Living Force, which in turn powers the wellspring that is the Comic Force.” - Qui-Gon, Yoda arc in the Clone Wars
“Luminous beings are we, not this crude matter.” - Yoda, Empire Strikes Back
“Train yourself to let go of everything you fear to lose.” - Yoda, Revenge of the Sith
    “…UNDERSTAND THE FORCE…” - Ahsoka, Rebels
“What you seek you already have. Unfortunately, you seem to be letting it all go.” - Obi-Wan in Twin Suns
“I won’t let him lose his way, not like I did.” - Kanan
AFTER THE PORTAL, EZRA LOOKING AROUND:
“The Force is what gives the Jedi his power. It’s an energy field that is created by all living things. It surrounds us, it penetrates us, it binds the galaxy together.” - Obi-Wan, ANH
    AFTER THIS, EZRA WANDERING:
“Rejoice for those who transform into the Force. Mourn them to do not. Miss them do not.” - YODA ROTS
“I see your eyes.” - Maz, TFA
“I’m one with the Force the Force is with me. I am one with the Force the Force is with me.” - Chirrut!
“The time to fight is now!” - Jyn Erso Rogue one
“Show me, Grandfather, and I will finish… what you started.” - Kylo Ren, TFA
“We’ll see each other again… I believe that.” - Rey to Finn in TFA.
    “Grandfather…” - AGAIN FROM KYLO
“The Resistance will not be intimidated by you.” - Poe, The Force Awakens
“… show no mercy.” - Palpatine, ROTS
“I will finish… what you started.” - AGAIN FROM KYLO
“I won’t lose you, Padmé.” - Anakin, ROTS
“Something… inside me, has always been there,” - Rey, TLJ
“It is in his Nature.” - Daughter, Mortis
“The belonging you seek it not behind you, it is ahead..” - Maz Kanata
“It is our most desperate hour. Help me Obi-Wan Kenobi, you’re my only hope.” - Leia, ANH
“A shadow of greed, that is.” - Yoda, ROTS (CONTINUATION OF LET GO QUOTE)
    Owl hoots.
“You never would have made it as Obi-Wan’s padawan… but you might make it as mine.” - Anakin to Ahsoka, on Christophsis when they first met.
    When Ahsoka remembers:
“Obi-Wan once thought as you did…” - Vader
“You don’t know the power of the dark side.” - Vader
When Ahsoka calls to the convor owl Morai:
“I am daughter.” - The Daughter, Mortis. This episode basically brings all the movies and shows together.. Love every second of it

Why did everyone think that Ahsoka died at the end of Season 2? After it showed a battered Vader walking away, it also showed Ahsoka from a distance walking into a tunnel or stairwell... that spot that was in the background when she went back in this episode. Now we know how she survived to wander into that tunnel. That's some Steven Moffat level foreshadowing right there lol. Speaking of foreshadowing, there was a line in the World Between Worlds episode that will be pretty important later. I'm not going to say which though 😛

My tinfoil theory is that Ahsoka being pulled out is the event that changes the Episode 7-9 timeline. If shes not around, Grogu doesn't receive further Jedi training because they don't find Luke and Grogu is captured, paving the way for Palpatines clone.
But because Ahsoka is now around, the whole of Episode 7-9 doesn't happen as it happens in the movies and we get a better sequel trilogy at some point.

When asked about it, Dave Filoni is very hesitant to say what happened in this episode is time travel. _“I don't really think of it as time travel. It's not really a thing where you go through one door and out another in a different time. The world between worlds is really about knowledge and gaining knowledge. As the Dume wolf says, what's in there is knowledge and destruction. You can gain knowledge of the future or futures that may happen, and you can see things that happened in the past. You can at times choose to alter them, but it's perilous to do so and when you alter something you don't know if that's not the way it always happened. So destruction is the other half of what's in there. When you go through these doorways, you're in peril of destruction because you're missing all sorts of things that would have happened or things would've happened otherwise, you know, so it's a dangerous game but it's not something we're here going in and out of different doors. It's an extension of the Jedi's ability to perceive the future and the past...”_
