But finishing lower than her bullying victim has a certain karmic justice.
Eden, your courage and strength is overwhelming. Thank you for standing brave in the face of haters. Thank you for being a role model for our teenager. We cannot wait to hear your single. Thank you Free Press for another amazing interview.
They ate tide pods and spoon-fulls of cinnamon powder as tweens and young teens, there's something wrong with them dude. Eden thankfully is obviously not like that.
I thought Eden had already undergone her military service, seeing how focused and disciplined, yet cheerful she was. It was only later I learned that she hasn’t done her military service, she’s just naturally like that.
Dear Eden, Take it all and Leave the world behind. Thank you for being so brave to share your experience and facing the world so elegantly. You are the definition of inspiration.
Actually, on second thought, don't leave the world behind. 40K+ Palestinians were forced to do that. Because of who you are, you have a choice. You don't have to be slaughtered inside a prison wall.
Only time I watched and voted 😊 I couldn't stand the arrogance and cowardice of thuggish performers and hundreds of invertebrates in the crowd. Best song, sure! The history of courage in the family lives on in Eden... Congratulations!
Eden gave the world a glint of hope and allowed us to feel connected to each other and the Divine. She’s an extraordinary person who always finds a beauty in life-for EVERYONE. She’s a true ⭐️ that I will follow for the years to come.
Truly inspirational woman. The reason the UK public gave her 12 points wasn't just her powerful emotional song, it was the ridiculous levels of abuse she had to endure. The fact she had to have presidential level security in Malmo spoke volumes. People weren't willing to stand by and accept that, and gave her 12 points to go against the pro Hamas protesters and their compliant media and creative class buddies
Ms. Weiss, you’re killing it with your amazing choice of interviewees. People think of Greta Thunberg as some kid, but she’s actually 21, meangirling on 20 year-old Eden. Eden’s song was beautifully written (even better after the rewrite), the costumes, styling, choreography and especially the official video were absolutely fabulous. Made it worth it sitting through the trashy performances.
Of course you did, German guilt is real! If you believe in God and fear Him, you should not support a terrorist, genocidal regime, which is what Israel is and what this girl represents.
I don't believe on apologising on someone else's behalf, as an Irishman I was embarrassed by our participant in general and in particular how she behaved towards this brave lady.
You're an amazing person, Eden! Beautiful inside and out... what an inspiration! You never let them put you down. Keep performing and singing -- be the voice of Israel. We love you, Eden... 🇺🇸❤️🇮🇱💪
As a Greek I'm absolutely disgusted and ashamed for the behaviour of our representative, Marina Satti. Please remember she doesn't represent the majority of Greek people. Love to Israel and to this amazing girl. She's so lovely ❤
Marina gave off such mean girl vibes, imagine being almost 40 years old and bullying a 20 year old. Joost gave off such diva-bully vibes as well, there’s also the allegations that he raised his fist at the camera person. Funny how the people who constantly talk about how “inclusive” and “woke” they are, are actually the most vile and hateful and bullyish people around.
And you don't represent the majority of the Greek people. You are just a random user. There was a good reason she had all that security. And she knows it. They are the reason Joost didn't participate. They are the reason we had anti-booing technology this year. And the votes she got were clearly political. Which is why when everybody finished above her in the standings, everyone cheered. So talk for yourself. You don't represent the majority either.
is she really jewish? If she is then she's breaking like every law of the torah? She changed her natural appearance by dying her hair. she isn't covering her hair, and she isn't covering up? Soooooo she isn't anything close to a jewish queen
Thank you so much for doing this interview with Eden. As a big Eurovision fan and a supporter of Israel in the contest, as much as I want the contest to remain apolitical, but I am so grateful that the Israeli delegation didn't withdraw (and EBU didn't succumb to the noises to ban Israel) because it is so important for Israel to show the world they exist. And also, Israel could not have asked for a better representative because Eden is just so amazing and graceful despite all the hatred she got. Her tenacity is going to get her go far. I am so proud of her and I am sure Israelis and Jews around the world share the same sentiments.
I am not Jewish, but have been down in Israel and know that Jewish Women are proud of their heritage and proud of Israel and their Culture. Hope that Eden Golan knows deep down that many people love her for what she stands for. Regardless of which culture you have, you must respect this. But to be honest, I respect Jews more than both Christians and Muslims. Strength is exactly what Eden Golan showed the world that even a 20-year-old knows this strength. Delle in Sweden
Russian women and artists a re proud too but they got banned from everything because of what the Russian gov are doing in Ukraine. Double standards are obvious. That is the push back is about.
@@msbramble176 I know unfortunately, one of my favorites in Russia is Diana Ankudinova who has an incredible voice and charisma. It's a shame that Music always has to hit artists of different kinds.
@@detlevgradert9328 Yep the double standards are everywhere. The fact this woman was allowed to contest shows a double standard. The standard should be that no one is banned.... and she was not banned.
American Jews could learn from her courage and grace. Time to cry because some crazies at the uni yell at them is gone. Time to stand up and face them is now. 🇮🇱
@@martinamarkota6280 That damned rim tim dagi dim rhythm pattern is an INSANE earworm. Stuck in my head after the first listen. I also like the very culturally-based music video, love seeing someone proudly display their heritage like that with no concern for what outsiders may think. I actually got similar vibes when Eden Golan danced out with her country's flag, considering the vitriol it can trigger to the lunatics out there). Baby Lasagna was an example of what Eurovision at its more ridiculous times should be. (I also liked how at the end of the chorus, they end it with the rhythm on a different cadence, before going back to the original chord. It's a nice musical touch) Congrats on 1st in popular vote!

Oh yes, you're right. It's Eden who illegally entered Gaza on October 7, raped, killed and abducted innocent Gazans to Israel. An awful woman, you bet.
Dear Eden you are such an inspiration. My 11 yo Jewish daughter is so taken with your grace, strength, and thoughtfulness (and talent too of course). You are a wonderful role model for the youth. Keep going and we hope you'll visit California some day so we can see you in person.
I ignored the whole eurovision thing until I was at the United Hatzalah dinner where she performed. I couldn't believe her response to the taunts and provocation at at Eurovision , such utter refinement she possesses. But then I heard her sing (live!) and I just closed my eyes and sat and listened. I've probably listened to Hurricane (more like watched the music video) dozens of times in the last two weeks. It's a masterwork. This interview was fantastic. It showcases so much of Golan's character. She has developed such a mature outlook at such a young age. I have such respect and awe for her
I feel embarrassed by my countries contestant. Joost had no right to force Eden to answer a particularly stupid question at the press conference. I never watch Eurovision, but this time I voted twice for Eden. She was by far the best. The song gave me goosebumps. The Dutch audience gave 12 points though. A lot of us stand with Israel, as I do. ✝️🇳🇱❤️🇮🇱🎗️🕊️
Joost is a piece of work. My money is on him being outed as another Ellen DeGeneres, who has this wacky dancing happy-go-lucky "give love and joy to all" persona that, at best, is overcompensating for something. At best, he has acute anger management issues. At worst, he's something out of a horror flick. That's my takeaway of everything I've seen about him. Regardless, he didn't force Eden to do anything. He just made a noise during the press conference that did nothing but reflect negatively on him. Eden did her thing regardless. Not Israeli, but thanks for your comment. When I see the rabid mobs shouting "justice for joost", it doesn't feel like a bunch of enthusiasts doing their thing. It feels like townsfolk hunting for a witch. (Nowadays, though, you can screech that you're a witch and get cheers, so...... whatever. Ireland's tears at Israel's success are a contender for my favorite moment of the whole debacle.) so every comment about Eden that just focuses on her and her performance and song is so refreshing to hear, especially from those who don't have a vested interest (other than possessing a human soul)
@@aekellyThis is a beautiful yearly celebration. Israel is a member and participate every year. There is still a one yo baby in captivity with many others. No one raises a poster and protests for him. This is a hate show as many don’t even know the history of the language and never visited the area of this one conflict out of many in the Middle East and around. As someone who visited schools that were a victim of rocket attacks before 7/10, this is pure hate from ignorant people who don’t even know what language is the word Palestine and believe lies of radicals who ruined Lebanon (which used to be Christian). Now, they ruin parts of Africa and take parts of Yemen and others. This is a yearly music celebration, and it's not the victim's fault that she gets murder threats. It would be best if you lived in the Middle East to see how real these threats are. Radicals believe they kill as a way of a warship. As a Spanish I'm absolutely against the antisemitism of our politicians, media and TV, but fortunately the politicians, media and TV don't represent all Spanish people. Eden I was bullied at school in 2009 and I know what it feels like. Thank you for your example and your force, you are an example for all people who have been bullied. Excellent & brave young lady. I'm a grungy old Brit guy and definitely NOT a Eurovision fan, but I heard about the evil cancellation mob and the treatment of her & then I was 100% on her side. 😍 ps. Bambi Thug - I just laughed when I saw and heard her. 🤣
As a european I'm so embarrassed that this was how we treated a guest to our continent. This is not who we are. We don't even do it to terrorists. I really hope that the people that thought treating Eden Golan like this was okay won't get a chance of their despicable behavior again.
I’m not embarrassed. I think we Europeans needed to see this (anti-family) ideology creeping into our society. I live in the countryside and we just don’t see much of this type of concentrated craziness. The public vote for Israel was important to show these activists (but also to show Israel) that the majority of people are NOT behind them bullying this young woman or Israel.
I was incredibly disgusted with the way Eden was treated, and the backlash she received while performing a song in remembrance of the October 7 victims. It only made me root for her more.
I am so glad that Eden sang her song in Eurovision this year. She sang a beautiful, heartwarming powerful song. All her action was loving, kind and respectful. I send all my love from Iceland.
Eden is a true lioness of Zion, what a sweet, beautiful and talented young woman, very moving, I wish her all the best, she stood strong in the face of demons, I salute her.
On 25 February 2022, the EBU announced that Russia would not compete at the contest, stating that "in light of the unprecedented crisis in Ukraine, the inclusion of a Russian entry in this year's Contest would bring the competition into disrepute." Double standards for Israel as usual.
@@DavidSH1953 Yes, exactly... If you blame Israel for the war then you also believe that what Hamas did on 10/7 is justified and the state of Israel doesn't have the right to exist.

@@ingridfromm7719 I agree. I don't remember a backlash when Russian artists and athletes were totally banned from world events..... Eden Golan is a true thoroughbred: heart, intelligence, guts, stamina, beauty, grace and courage through and through. There are many singers of talent and beauty but few who possess the moral calbre and fibre this girl has in spades. She is an inspiration and example for us all. I love her music, loved the song Hurricane and her delivery of it and I can't wait to hear her next single. And I admire her tiny country and the fortitude of its people, besieged and surrounded by forces of evil and darkness that want only to obliterate it. "He who watches over Israel neither slumbers nor sleeps"...holding that verse close to heart and praying in this momentous battle for its existence that Israel will prevail for the sake of the entire civilised world. The Lord will always be there for Israel - may the citizens of the world who have not completely taken leave of their values and senses continue to stand by Israel too in this fateful time and see her through.
As a dutch person I'm really embarrassed by our contestant Joost Klein. Much love to Eden and Israel. We must never bow to these Jewhaters and Israelhaters. So many different things need to align which when it happens it is what defines the meaning of a miracle, and the fact that Eden Golan has become an integral part of the events since 7th October and the fact that she is a totally independent individual who speaks greater and from the depths of her heart more eloquently than any paid ambassador could ever do, means that she is an Israeli miracle, truly.
Eden, you were f amazing. We are so proud of this performance and for the way you conducted yourself with such grace, in the face of these ugly individuals.
Eden is amazingly talented, and so emotionally mature and highly intelligent though above this, her representation of Israel at the Eurovision was courageous & super uplifting. Her artistry and vocals are astounding and I wish her to stand in her power always.

I gave her 5 votes from Finland. Not only because her song was beautiful (unlike the most other eurovision songs) but because it was my way to say "F you" to the growing antisemitism and Israel-hate of Europe. It was actually my first time to vote in Eurovision song contest and I agree with the host that "it looks like a gay Olympics". I didn't vote for the political reason but more like a moral reasons. I admire her strength of character.
I am Finnish and I was so irritated when Käärijä asked that short video of Eden and him together be taken off the social media. In the Finnish media he had earlier said that he doesn't know enough about the situation between Israel and Palestine to take a stand, but then that bullying mob got him to be so afraid tha he ended up doing that. I liked him before, but really stoped listening to his music after that. I can't stand people who - as we say atleast in Finnish - don't have the backbone!!

Maybe a little, but mainly it plain old Antisemitism.
Lol. Pretending that her high placement wasn't all politics is delusional
Eden, your courage and strength is overwhelming. Thank you for standing brave in the face of haters. Thank you for being a role model for our teenager. We cannot wait to hear your single. Thank you Free Press for another amazing interview.
Anyone who remembers the 1972 Munich Olympics knows there can never be too much security for Israeli performers.
I can’t help but wonder about this years Olympics. I’m not sure it’s possible to have enough security for their team this year.
I do remember. I was a teenager and it was frightening.
ABSOLUTELY
@@laya992-joy I was in the third grade when it happened, and I still remember hearing about it on the news.

If only her generation had her mental fortitude. Grace and class.
They ate tide pods and spoon-fulls of cinnamon powder as tweens and young teens, there's something wrong with them dude. Eden thankfully is obviously not like that.
Her generation in Israel is strong & smart.
Our generation in Israel absolutely does
I thought Eden had already undergone her military service, seeing how focused and disciplined, yet cheerful she was. It was only later I learned that she hasn’t done her military service, she’s just naturally like that.
in israel, they do.
F the haters. Eden was wonderful ❤ she is a winner. Don't believe the lies.
Without lies, Islam dies.
Only time I watched and voted 😊
I couldn't stand the arrogance and cowardice of thuggish performers and hundreds of invertebrates in the crowd.
I am a catholic from Germany. And I voted for Israel and Eden Golan!!!
Nazis always nazis
Of course you did, German guilt is real! If you believe in God and fear Him, you should not support a terrorist, genocidal regime, which is what Israel is and what this girl represents.
😂😂😂 jesus would be proud of you
You are a genocide supporter* from germany. And you voted for genocide and a killer :)

I don't believe on apologising on someone else's behalf, as an Irishman I was embarrassed by our participant in general and in particular how she behaved towards this brave lady.
As a Dutch citizen I feel the same about the Dutch contestant
Thank you ❤.
Thank you🙏
Thank you. It was hard to watch. I hope one day soon I'll feel comfortable visiting there again.
@OP: Good man. 👏👍
You're an amazing person, Eden! Beautiful inside and out... what an inspiration! You never let them put you down. Keep performing and singing -- be the voice of Israel. We love you, Eden... 🇺🇸❤️🇮🇱💪
It was lovely to hear Eden speak
This interviewer did a fantastic job
Until the interviewer added, "and Greta Thunberg, God Bless Her..."
❤
Thanks so much! Glad to know she doesn’t represent all greeks! She was very childish and disrespectful towards Eden. Love to Greece!! 🇬🇷💙
We know this. We love Greece♥
Absolutely gorgeous woman inside and out...
A true Jewish Queen ♥
is she really jewish? If she is then she's breaking like every law of the torah? She changed her natural appearance by dying her hair. she isn't covering her hair, and she isn't covering up? Soooooo she isn't anything close to a jewish queen
Une reine avec son drapeau sur ses épaules comme un défilé digne des plus grands créateurs de mode
She's very pretty but those fake fingernails of hers are tacky and low class.
This girl literally helped me going through those evil times.
Love you Eden, you are truly an angel.
The world needs more young women like Eden Golan. Talented, humble, strong, determined, and beautiful to boot.
Me too, I studied all the Abrahamic faiths, and there's a reason why the Jewish quarter in Jerusalem Old City had the lightest energy of all.

I have never had a hero before, but Eden changed that. Her strength and bravey completely awes me. She is a true hero, and we are so proud of her.
Great interview, Eden is absolute awesomeness❤
American Jews could learn from her courage and grace. Time to cry because some crazies at the uni yell at them is gone. Time to stand up and face them is now. 🇮🇱

It's a nice musical touch)

She's amazing, and Croatia should have won! I voted for him. I love this song!
Voted for Baby Lasagna from Israel! It's was such a disappointment he wasn't a winner, he deserved better.
Eden shows such grace and class. I wish more people would follow her example. Brava, Eden!
She was amazing in the Eurovision! And the fact that she responded with love to all the haters out there is what makes Eden Golan so great.
She has no love for them. She said she doesn't care about them, just like she doesn't care about the dead Palestinian children!
@@aekelly She was there only for music and as for the Palestinians I assure you the Israelis care much more about them than the Hamas terrorists who sacrifice them so people like you will pressure Israel to give Hamas immunity.
@@DavidSH1953 I know she was only there for the music - and her career. No thought to what her country is doing and that maybe it was inappropriate for her to be there.

Eden is so intelligent and she speaks so well and coherently! And she is only 20!
It was a totally valid question. And Israeli delegation bullied Joost! 😡
