I used to get irritated at the competitiveness and ignorance of some ARMY comments and it put me off checking out BTS for a very long time but after checking out their actual lyrics and listening to their philosophy and learning about the work they do with Unicef with anti-violence and anti- bullying plus spreading positivity about mental health and being very open about their own difficulties, I started to respect them more and more and they work hard at it, so I came to understand how their fans are so dedicated. Some things you'll have to keep in mind when reacting to older kpop mvs: *Subtitles for mvs pre2016 are a lot less common unless 1theK happened to pick it up *YG only started subbing all (or most) their mvs in the last year or two. *SM has only just started to sub their mvs (and still sometimes don't - its kinda random) *A LOT of mvs before 2015 are gonna be real different like this or be very Japanese and/or late 90s-early 00s us boygroup inspired. Ok so Bigbang are a 5 memener group that debuted in 2006 and are part of YG entertainment. Back then Kpop was not really well known. Bigbang changed that and that's why they are known as the og's of kpop and a lot of kpop groups wouldn't be here without them including BTS as they are a main reason why they became trainees and idols. Anyways YG entertainment is one of the biggest entertainment in S. Korea and all the artist under YG including (Bigbang, Blackpinck, Ikon, Psy, etc.) Are known for their swag feel and just all around coolness and someone would usually know that a group is under YG becuase you just feel it. They're called the Black label becuase of it. 4 of the members right now are serving in the military becuase of the S. Korean law stating that all males have to enlist in the military for 2-3 years before the age of 30. He is also a big time fashion icon who is known for wearing the most avant guarde fashion but on him it somehow works. He always went to Paris for fashion week and is friends with famous designers. BIGBANG are known as the Kings of K-Pop! They started at quite a young age especially G-Dragon since he was a little boy. But now that they are older they are required to go go the military as required in S. Korea for about 18 months more or less! All except the youngest went in together since that way they will pretty much all come out at the same time. Their ever do loyal fans called the VIP's are waiting for the day when they come back out. To this day even while they are in the military they are continually getting new fans since so many new people hear of them and like what they hear!
You guys think it lacks something is because big bang is from the old generation of kpop and you guys have listened to the new generation. Big bang debuted back in 06 way before bts. The song you guys just listened to is from 2015 so of course it sounds outdated compared to new kpop music its kinda like old school hip-hop and new generation of hip-hiphop. They haven't came back with a comeback due to most of their members being in the military but in the kpop industry big bang are known as the kings and ogs that everybody respects because they paved and shaped kpop to what it is now and broke lots of barriers for the new generation.

I used to get irritated at the competitiveness and ignorance of some ARMY comments and it put me off checking out BTS for a very long time but after checking out their actual lyrics and listening to their philosophy and learning about the work they do with Unicef with anti-violence and anti- bullying plus spreading positivity about mental health and being very open about their own difficulties, I started to respect them more and more and they work hard at it, so I came to understand how their fans are so dedicated. I absolutely love both bands for their artistry and positive energy they exude. Not into looks but the music and messages in the lyrics.

Some things you'll have to keep in mind when reacting to older kpop mvs:
*Subtitles for mvs pre2016 are a lot less common unless 1theK happened to pick it up
*YG only started subbing all (or most) their mvs in the last year or two.
*SM has only just started to sub their mvs (and still sometimes don't - its kinda random)
*A LOT of mvs before 2015 are gonna be real different like this or be very Japanese and/or late 90s-early 00s us boygroup inspired.
BIGBANG was one of the first to really break the traditional boygroup style and are one of the pioneers in changing and expanding the kpop sound and music video production. When I first got into kpop I didn't fully understand the hype behind them, but after seeing their videos and listening to their music compared to a lot of others of that same time period, I definitely understand now.

Ok so Bigbang are a 5 memener group that debuted in 2006 and are part of YG entertainment. Back then Kpop was not really well known. Bigbang changed that and that's why they are known as the og's of kpop and a lot of kpop groups wouldn't be here without them including BTS as they are a main reason why they became trainees and idols. Anyways YG entertainment is one of the biggest entertainment in S. Korea and all the artist under YG including (Bigbang, Blackpinck, Ikon, Psy, etc.) Are known for their swag feel and just all around coolness and someone would usually know that a group is under YG becuase you just feel it. They're called the Black label becuase of it. 4 of the members right now are serving in the military becuase of the S. Korean law stating that all males have to enlist in the military for 2-3 years before the age of 30. Seungri is the youngest and is not in the military but will have to go eventually.😿 anyways thank you for reacting
