Just because a person can sing doesnt make them good and someone people actually want to listen too. Cheryl's techniques, encouragement and style are what really make a person a good singer and someone people want to listen too. Online courses will never compare to in person. You can't get feedback which is incredibly important to most people. I want to learn so badly from her but not online. I can sing but need to learn tricks and tips, breath control etc. These singers are so blessed to have this experience with Cheryl. I don't agree with cloning but I'd make an exception to clone Ms. Cheryl Porter!♥️

But I can’t help to note... that God only wishes to give ultimately one gift/blessing. It’s written about over and over in the secrets of the kingdom from Jesus and old testament parables in the bible. Just some food for thought, you can ignore this if you’d like, but I really think it’s important to think about. 😅

Because plenty of people are self taught (to a certain point) before they decide they need extra help to get further. I have a similar singing voice to her, and similar experience. I e never had a voice lesson in my life, but if I want to get to a proffessional level like moss porter is at, and like what Broadway singers are at, then I need voice lessons. That doesn’t mean I can’t already do vibrato, or riffs, etc. but even the most experienced singers get tons of voice lessons to keep it up!
She needs lessons, not talents for proper techniques if she wants to sing as a profession.
Sometimes I think I can actually sing. Then I watch this and realize I know nothing 😂😂 voice lessons now on my to do list ha

My voice students are this way too: they'll struggle with intonation all throughout warmup and then blow me away with their prepared piece. It's such a strange phenomenon to me. Is it the familiarity or the love of the song? Is it just that the constant modulations during exercises is off-putting to their ears?

As a new gospel-turned-opera singer and student, I always struggle with one or the other lol 😂. I get excited when we can finally work on the piece. I have noticed that a lot of younger singers are more interested in the riffs and runs (I’m guilty of the same, growing up the church). When I couldn’t hit a more, I’d riff it out. The biggest challenge is learning and singing straight notes-and supporting them. Lol opera doesn’t allow too much movement at all. That’s why I love it! This young lady’s voice is fire 🔥- she’s going to be absolutely amazing ♥️♥️♥️.
@@tamarapowell6996 that is a great point. People are often so impressed with runs and loud belts and super high notes, and they don't realize how difficult it can be to just sing a simple melody without all the glitz and glam. Good on you for recognizing that in yourself!

Sing your heart out allllll you want and if there aint nobody who wants to hear it, call me and lets sing together cause i dont give a fuck how good or bad you sing, life is just BETTER with music. I think i dont have a singing voice, i do hit all the notes i wanna hit without being off the pitch, but my ''metal'' or whatever our human chords are called, is not good, but i wont stop singing! It give me more years to live, it makes me happy! If it makes you happy SING! Dont think about the neighboors, dont think about your grandma, dont put limits in your life!

@@nicoleknorr2880 and I mean it!!! I sing all the time. Well we were not all born with the voice of Whitney Houston, that's why they are only a handful of them we can name cause it's a talent. It is meant to be rear. That doesn't mean we can't sing! Miss cherryl also has a free Playlist of lessons we can do on our own at home for free on UA-cam! So if you think you wanna train your voice you can do it anytime! But even if you don't want to and just wanna sing, just do it! Really do it my sister! Oh and one more thing, sometimes I don't wanna be heard but I do wanna sing along on a difficult song, so when I'm home alone I put it in speakers on as loud as I can and then I sing free and I even feel like I sound good hahah, probably not but I don't care cause my voice is covered by the original singer so I don't have even anything to be shy about AND I did what I wanted!!

It's really special when you can hear it from her students - that "at last...." first few seconds you can hear that diaphragm working its musical magic pushing air out on that note. A good teacher always imprints good habits on their students and Cheryl's skill is obvious even from hearing her students sing.
