Great video! It is so weird that they have that registration thing. It was the same thing with North Macedonia where you are required to register at every place but I’m unsure how seriously it’s taken. I know one person who got stopped because of it and given some issues, but I personally never got asked. Something to be aware of I guess!
When going to Serbia.... #1. Be Serbian #2 . Have family there #3. You have to pay for parking (guy walks around taking pictures of plates). You don’t pay. You’re gonna get fined 7000 dinars = $70 #4. Don’t go to zlatibor unless you are rich #5. You have to register within 24 hours or u get fined. (I forgot about this and waited for about 2 weeks. Since I got family. They didn’t charge me). #6. Serbia isn’t for everyone; but like I said. If you have family here. You will be okay. #7. Take a taxi or bus, if you don’t have a car #8. Post to Reddit/Serbia. Questions will be answered; and is your best source of local information , etc. #9. Cacak is better and cheaper than Belgrade
Next time registre yourselves online. Go to MUP.rs choose English up where flags are on Page, follow instruction on site, get registred in approx. 100 secunds time. Print confrmation and you Are Ok. If not, who cares, inforcement of this law is next to never happened.
I'm afraid if won't work that way... A foreing citizen can't do it for him/her self online, the serbian property owner where they stay has to do it for them. It seems that only way for a foreign citizen to do it for him/her self is to go phisicaly to a nearest police station. Silly, I know...
Airbnb need to work on that feature as many countries have that same requirement (police registration) or countries should change legislation as it stems back to the War
Not a fan of airbnb. Often times you don't get what you think you paid for, and then they don't really do anything but act as an agent between the renter and the owner. I am fine staying in hotels 😀
Oh yeah I live a few kilometers near Belgrade and you must register into a police station in 24h when someone comes here. I think that the same was for Croatia and Slovenia but I am not 1000% sure aout those 2 countries.
Dany & Byanca Happy New Year!!! Thanks for the update looking forward to the next adventure. Are you planning to video hour dad while you travel together.
No one ever gets fined unless! You go to the police station late(since you have 24h) and register after a few days or weeks, then they send you to the judge to be fined...... So if one did not register do not go late and self incriminate yourself. Also it will only be checked if you commit an offense. PS: as a tourist you have to register upon entering almost any country including the US! It’s done usually on a little form you fill out at entry point.
True. Usually the little forms with the first adress serve the same purpose. Yes. Some people suggested to go in afterwards. Didnt seem like the smart option Haha
I've been going to Serbia the last 5-6 years and staying at the same AirBnB place. The owner in the early years said yes we must register. About 2 years ago he said the govt changed it and no registration is required anymore
If you register then criminals within police can alert other criminals to pay you a visit. Of course that will not happen since most tourists are of low monetary value. And police have smarter things to do than check on tourists. Can we possibly imagine how much effort this would take? And impact this would have? No way. That law is like a speed limit of 90km/hr on a major auto-bahn where everybody, including police, are driving at 120/hr or higher.
This is another thing I really like about driving in and out of Serbia. The border guys could care less on your way in and going out they barely care about anything either. Totally relaxed because they don’t really care about anything. Never went through the airport but I think that’s probably more strict about things.
Bunch of horseshit laws.... just like in the UK it is illegal to handle a salmon suspiciously :D Anyways, I hope that we can delete this law soon, cause it seems like a bit of an annoyance....
That law is outdated and needs a major upgrade. In a mindset of a common citizen of Serbia, there is an all-time tendency to silently ignore "unpractical laws", because laws should serve people not otherwise. Of course, you can not proclaim taxation as "idiot law" and disobey it, but laws such as these are simply ignored and not strictly enforced. Also, law enforcement uses not to escalate disobedience of such laws (they are citizens too), and if comes to that in most cases you will pass with a warning, not even a fine... So, when this law can backfire on you? In 100% of cases if you are a troublemaker, start or provoke an incident (football hooligan for example), and all kind of "idiot" laws will rain sh*t on you. If you are a victim of an incident, also nothing happens. There is a law you broke numerous times and you are not even aware of it. You will be shocked but IT IS FORBIDDEN to take shots of any bridge, museum, church, monastery other installation of great importance and cultural heritage. There is "no camera" warning in all of these places and you simply didn't notice it. And how many fines and warnings did you get? Zero, like thousands of people before and after you. You can see why I call these laws idiotic... But you have to be brain-damaged to take pictures around some military installations and pretend you didn't know...
Registering is very easy. Literally just report where you are staying at a local police station. The only hustle is that landlord should be with you but I hear that now they could register you online via eGovernment portal. Anyways you won't get in trouble by not registering unless you want to apply for a temporary residence visa. In that case you need to be registered and you will be fined for the delay (the amount is decided by the judge and it's in the range you mentioned)
A Serb just came from China and said this law is only enforceable there and officers there will check on you. Most likely because there is a lot of people in China, like a billion, and they can allocate resources to enforce this. In no other country this can be enforced.

You should have a "white card" issued to you at the local police station and you should have it in your passport when you hand it to the immigration on departure at the airport. Obviously everyone is cut some slack, probably by the order of the Govt, because the immigration would ask to see the "white card". Now, I would be more careful if I were to leave the country by road. In that case, the instructions the immigration has from the Govt may even depend on what country you are from.

Great video! It is so weird that they have that registration thing. It was the same thing with North Macedonia where you are required to register at every place but I’m unsure how seriously it’s taken. I know one person who got stopped because of it and given some issues, but I personally never got asked. Something to be aware of I guess!
I got asked 1time for it when I was leaving..if I didn't have it, I doubt they'd give a crud
welcome back to serbia
When going to Serbia....
#1. Be Serbian
#2 . Have family there
#3. You have to pay for parking (guy walks around taking pictures of plates). You don’t pay. You’re gonna get fined 7000 dinars = $70
#4. Don’t go to zlatibor unless you are rich
#5. You have to register within 24 hours or u get fined. (I forgot about this and waited for about 2 weeks. Since I got family. They didn’t charge me).
#6. Serbia isn’t for everyone; but like I said. If you have family here. You will be okay.
#7. Take a taxi or bus, if you don’t have a car
#8. Post to Reddit/Serbia. Questions will be answered; and is your best source of local information , etc.
#9. Cacak is better and cheaper than Belgrade
Next summer in Serbia will be lit! 🔥
Next time registre yourselves online.
Go to MUP.rs choose English up where flags are on Page, follow instruction on site, get registred in approx. 100 secunds time. Print confrmation and you Are Ok.
If not, who cares, inforcement of this law is next to never happened.
thanks for the info.
I'm afraid if won't work that way... A foreing citizen can't do it for him/her self online, the serbian property owner where they stay has to do it for them. It seems that only way for a foreign citizen to do it for him/her self is to go phisicaly to a nearest police station. Silly, I know...
@@dmiljkovic as the man said this "law" is non-enforceable.
@@Burevestnik9M730 I wasn't commenting whether was enforcable or not...
Yes already editing that video 💯💯🙏🏼🙏🏼
No one ever gets fined unless! You go to the police station late(since you have 24h) and register after a few days or weeks, then they send you to the judge to be fined......
So if one did not register do not go late and self incriminate yourself. Also it will only be checked if you commit an offense.
PS: as a tourist you have to register upon entering almost any country including the US! It’s done usually on a little form you fill out at entry point.
True. Usually the little forms with the first adress serve the same purpose. Yes. Some people suggested to go in afterwards. Didnt seem like the smart option Haha
Serbia is not Belarus for fines for not registering fortunately ... 😉
Hehe. 😂👍
You better get an a Albanian citizenship this time hahaha :D
Never registered ever - nothing happens.
I've been going to Serbia the last 5-6 years and staying at the same AirBnB place. The owner in the early years said yes we must register. About 2 years ago he said the govt changed it and no registration is required anymore
@mo gamer Yeah i have noticed. Australia is no different, maybe just not as often
I have visited Serbia for 20 years, i registered once! Nothing happened..
Haven't seen anyone on the internet that said otherwise. Good to know
If you register then criminals within police can alert other criminals to pay you a visit. Of course that will not happen since most tourists are of low monetary value. And police have smarter things to do than check on tourists. Can we possibly imagine how much effort this would take? And impact this would have? No way. That law is like a speed limit of 90km/hr on a major auto-bahn where everybody, including police, are driving at 120/hr or higher.
what do you rub in your hair to make it look like this. this is really important to me?
Good bro nice cantry👌👌
This is another thing I really like about driving in and out of Serbia. The border guys could care less on your way in and going out they barely care about anything either. Totally relaxed because they don’t really care about anything.
Never went through the airport but I think that’s probably more strict about things.
They're decent. Unlike other places in Europe where you are treated like a criminal as soon as you step onto their land.
@@frostflower5555 Which countries are those?
Thank you..
Nice content👌
Thank you 🙌
The registration was also 20 years ago
Nedostajete već🇷🇸

Come back soon 🇷🇸
Thanks Boris :D
Bunch of horseshit laws.... just like in the UK it is illegal to handle a salmon suspiciously :D Anyways, I hope that we can delete this law soon, cause it seems like a bit of an annoyance....
gotta watch out on those Salmon Handlers
So why you leaving Serbia??
Visa ran out. Cold.
Thanks for the warning
you got it:D
A Serb just came from China and said this law is only enforceable there and officers there will check on you. Most likely because there is a lot of people in China, like a billion, and they can allocate resources to enforce this. In no other country this can be enforced.
Welcome back to Albania 🇦🇱
Are you going to make videos about albania ? Anyway go to Korçë couse it is the Christmas capital of Albania🤩🤩
Sure. Thats what I do;) Christmas already passed so dont know if I want to go to Korce again. Already did a video there. Just search for my name and korce
@@Danygotaworldtosee Korçe is so vibrant during these days , streets are full of people , decorations everywhere , you are going to have a wonderful time , i guarante you that Korce is a "winter destination " in albania , and during summer it isnt that turistic , anyway have a great time 🤩🇦🇱 , (try going to Valbonë if u haven t been!!)
Good luck to your new destination. Be extra careful coz there's a new covid variant spreading anew.
Thanks 💯👍 gotta always make appropriate risk Assessment.
That escalated quickly lol
Is that a German passport I saw on the table? Are you a German citizen? thanks and BTW nice vids!
Come over to north east Brazil you will love it man. No covid test no restrictions no mask.
Will look it up ✌👍
Are u sure? Not Covid test, No mask, No restrictions ? and many Deaths, i’m a Doctor Surgery, ( front line) here and Brazil is a caos in this moment!
@@cristinaferraz6205 no covid test is required for americans and europeans everything is open like normal and very few whearing mask atleast in Salvador city north east. Even the president dont belive in the covid it says a allot.
Happend to me and my girlfriend from Sweden, we were staying in Kosovo for some days but they said they consider “Republic of Kosovo” as Serbia so you have to register. Made me run 5km to get to an atm and give them 200euros. I was running to the nearest atm which was near a Petrol Station… so I gave them 200€ and was so angry because no one said anything about that law. It wasn’t about the money but more of how corrupt Serbia is and their police omfg. But then I demanded them to call the embassy of Australia because I filmed everything. They gave me the money back and asked me to leave the country or I would get arrested 😂
Albania has open doors for everyone, our house belongs to the guest. I wish my neighbor Serbia do realise this they should come too and change their mind once and for all, in Albania there is no shortage of rakia they can swim on it if they like too and much more.
Did you tell a small white lie for the camera? You rubbed your face when you said $500.00 "That's what she said"? ;)
Bro that checking in police station is for your own good. You are from freakin' US, just imagine if something, God forbid, happens to you while staying here. What would police do when they have no idea, where did you stayed, did you know anyone here, why did you came in the first place etc
yeah man. Police should know about every step of yours. Track you 24/7 would be the best option. All just for safety ;) haha
@@Danygotaworldtosee Serbia is not like other places just so you know :) You are really free. It's like a mother where they know where you are but you can do as you want as long as it's law-abiding. :)
@@Danygotaworldtosee lol
Albania is fantastic! Enjoy!
👏👏👏👏
Welcome to Albania
Wowwww sir .
Bro you must register because when police stoped you in the street you must have a white paper with your passaport or to tell wich hotel are you chek inn, if you are not in hotel and dont have white paper it Is offence you must pay
White paper you get in police when you register
What do you think which percentage of tourist get the white paper?
Very low, but in some cases when tourist have problem with police or routine control they must pay or even be extract to the border like siryan migrants, so it Is important to do, but in 99% its all fine and tourist came and go whitout problems
@@borkoborkovic6477 yeah that's how it seems to me too.

I find that police willingness to do their job is moody at best in countries that used to be communist. It is the law in most countries because they supposedly run a check and need to know where you are staying; probably for tracing purposes these days also. I think I have filled a registration card only 10 times is my life.
I wanted to give a dislike to the Serbian auth but since can't do that through youtube lol i give the video just a like... We hope to see you in Albania for a long long time.

Kids that is some law from last century. I think that if someone mention this today is to push tourists to register so that they can easier send taxes bill to Rbnb owners.☺
Its nothing. In montenegro.it only look something like that. Easy man and dont worry about that. Ypur accomodationn need to pay for you. Its part of they taxes.
Where are you bro? You don't have american accent
good. been trying to let go off that american accent
@@Danygotaworldtosee nothing wrong to be american , i am serb loving in USA and I love american people , hope you return to serbia soon
Yes you must register! Or you can be like an illegall imigrant
idol keep safe always ...we love ❤️you from philippines 🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
You should have a "white card" issued to you at the local police station and you should have it in your passport when you hand it to the immigration on departure at the airport. Obviously everyone is cut some slack, probably by the order of the Govt, because the immigration would ask to see the "white card".
Now, I would be more careful if I were to leave the country by road. In that case, the instructions the immigration has from the Govt may even depend on what country you are from.
Al cura mu je dobra baki 👍
