My favorite parts of this story is the fact Hunter was able to write off the money he spent on prostitutes on his taxes.
Trump does the same then..
IRS has been pretty clear for a long time that they don't really care if you are doing illegal shit, just that you pay your percentage. If hiring prostitutes was a part of the "work" done in obtaining/accessing ones income, illegal or not, an individual could absolutely write it off as a business expense, theoretically. If you dealt drugs, and kept receipts like an OCD meth head or something, declared your occupation as drug dealer or narcotics provider, or like illegal substance supplier, and declared your all your earnings while paying your applicable percentage determined by the pertaining bracket, the IRS couldn't care less. They got theirs, and would be satisfied.
Now the judicial and investigative branches, such as the D.A. or DEA or FBI would be a whole different story. Especially with a likely easily attainable warrant that subpoenaed your taxes. Or something along those lines.
It's literally alluded to in the IRS' official rules(?)/documentation(?)idk instructions(?), That all forms of income must be declared, illegal or not.

Point being Joe is implicated in the crime, and sense all this stuff had come out before the presidential election or even before the campaigns started, Joe wouldn't have been legally allowed to run. But the FBI didn't investigate it, and told companies to hide it from the public saying it was Russian disinformation. So yes Hunter has nothing to do with US politics on the face of it, but considering Joe was implicated in all of it, plus the whole barisma stuff that Joe admitted, he shouldn't have been able to run at all.

Exactly how the court works in this country it’s sad
Seems like Trump is on the same fucking wavelength
Faking federal documents to obtain a firearm??? I'm surprised this isn't a bigger deal. Imagine if it was ANYONE else.
We don’t have to imagine. We can look at court records and see that most of the time that crime does not result in any jail time
Didn't the prime informant turn out to be a russian op?

I keep hearing that comparison like its the same. Hunter didn't tell the government he was doing illegal drugs.

Those meetings are just posturing, and the son of a VP, now POTUS, just sitting in a corner playing on his phone is the equivalent of pulling up in a Dodge Challenger to a Mini Cooper exhibition, and that's more than enough for some to pay out a sum of, what, $1.5mil?
Why is it people who are rich get away with shit like this, two years of probation, that's it?
My issue is all the things we completely ignored on the laptop.
Last time I checked possession of a firearm by a prohibited person is more than a two-year probation sentence
Last I checked, everyone gets a plea offer when accused of a crime carrying while under the influence, for instance is a MISDEMEANOR. Without taking the plea, he would face like up to a $500 fine and some we-here between 10 DAYs to 6 months in jail. It would be different if he were caught with a gun and a ton of drugs on his possession but simply checking a box that said he wasn’t under the influence after snorting a line of coke or whatever? Get outta here.
@@liquidmark5081the average sentencing is literally the maximum possible minus like 4 days unless you take the deal

He didn't make 1.5 million in taxable income. He owed 1.5 million in taxes. That's a f*** load. More than 1.5 million of taxable income
and he cooperated with the IRS and paid it off with interest.
@MegaProudAlbanian No, it was nearly 8 million dollars of unreported income from 2014-2018 according to the most recent IRS Whistleblower. That resulted in over a 2.2 million dollar tax bill. What's disgusting is where that money came from. It was bribery money from foreign governments that was funneled through multiple shell corps. It was discovered through suspicious financial transfers that got flagged on a foreign pornography website.
Try listening to the testimony of the IRS whistleblowers who have come out on this. One (lead agent of the case) is a married gay man that's a registered Democrat. They recommended felony charges and the DOJ dropped it down to misdemeanors.
@@Ropetrick6 Cooperating with the IRS means nothing when they discover you deducted $10k on a sex club membership as a business expense. It means nothing when he deducted a salary for his "West Coast Assistant" which was just a prostitute he paid a retainer to. I could go on, but you should get the point.
Hunter did not pay his tax bill. He received two loans from a wealthy benefactor totalling $2.2 million in which they had promissory notes written up for. The terms is 5% and he's to begin repayment in 2025 and have it paid off by the end of 2027. 2025 is after the Presidential election, so the wealthy benefactor could decide to gift him the balance since it won't have an effect on the election then. This would require the benefactor to file a gift tax return, but because the totalled gifted amount is less than the maximum lifetime allowance of $10+ million to an individual, he'd pay no taxes on it. It's all setup to look Kosher, but it's all just more dirty dealings if you actually look into it.
@@russiannpcbot6408 Nope. The IRS leaves you alone once you pay up.
@@russiannpcbot6408 Not even remotely correct, my brother in law failed to pay taxes for ten years due to not realizing you have to pay them when you live over seas. Once the IRS caught him he had to pay back with interest and as soon as the check cleared never heard from them again.
How about, like, we get trustworthy politicians?
The major problem, one of the major problems, for there are several, with governing people is that of who you get to do it. Or, rather of who manages to get people to let them do it to them. To summarize: it is a well known and much lamented fact that those people who most want to rule people are, ipso facto, those least suited to do it. @joshuahoffman1458 It's the law. That's like asking me for the source when I say it's illegal to assault random people. But in all fairness, I might have had the sentencing incorrect. As that is just for a firearm that is made to be illegal, such as modifying it.
