  • What’s going on with Hunter Biden? Here’s our timeline. Most recently, president’s son reached a deal to plead guilty to two minor tax crimes and admit to the facts of a gun charge under terms that would probably keep him out of jail. #shorts #hunterbiden

Everyone here does know a plea deal exists right? It's where you admit your guilty and serve a much weaker punishment. Not admitting guilty would make it a battle to prove and if they can't you get no punishment.
That's why you take the plea deal for this, also he is a first time offender. Though to be fair I think nobody should be in jail over his charges and instead just do what he did with a harsher or lighter sentence

Felony possession of a firearm? 10 more years
Possession of ammunition: fully at the discretion of the judge and to my knowledge it can be a felon charge or a misdemeanor.
Considering he didn't deny claims by others in court of his laptop never existing you could potentially attempt a perjury charge (it'd be a long and pretty hard reach) but a normal citizen would be charged because prosecutors are truly the lowest of the low and attempt to add this charge: another 10 years.
So at least 20-30 years. Which could also include fines in a collective total of roughly $500,000 on top of that jail time.

IRS has been pretty clear for a long time that they don't really care if you are doing illegal shit, just that you pay your percentage. If hiring prostitutes was a part of the "work" done in obtaining/accessing ones income, illegal or not, an individual could absolutely write it off as a business expense, theoretically. If you dealt drugs, and kept receipts like an OCD meth head or something, declared your occupation as drug dealer or narcotics provider, or like illegal substance supplier, and declared your all your earnings while paying your applicable percentage determined by the pertaining bracket, the IRS couldn't care less. They got theirs, and would be satisfied.
Now the judicial and investigative branches, such as the D.A. or DEA or FBI would be a whole different story. Especially with a likely easily attainable warrant that subpoenaed your taxes. Or something along those lines.
It's literally alluded to in the IRS' official rules(?)/documentation(?)idk instructions(?), That all forms of income must be declared, illegal or not.
If I remember correctly, that's how Al Capone finally went down. They never got any of his mafia shenanigans. He was charged with tax evasion and breaking prohibition. He was put away because he didn't pay his taxes on his smuggling and illicit substance distribution.
You could be a hitman for all the IRS cares, as long as you pay your due percentage on your blood money.

Is that corrupt? Yes. However, the fact that people are treating this like it’s the first time it has happened is beyond me. NBA players, Soccer Players, Actors, Music Artists etc. ALL escape jail. Think of one time when they actually did and you can think of 5 others that dodged it
Reality of it is though, even if Hunter Biden does escape jail he has been taken to court and pleaded guilty (even if the fucker should be behind bars)…Donald trump on the other hand wants to get re-elected, quite literally, so he can avoid his charges altogether.
