Actually..... the LED draws less power than the halogen. Halogen = 60w LED (this one) = 30w LEDs are more efficient in terms of Wattage VS Brightness. I remember the days where people (myself included) upgrade to 100w halogen bulbs..... the connectors melt on a yearly basis.

high beam uses 9005 or also known as HB3 bulbs.
Low beam uses 9006
