Zu is coo. We just need the right backup 5.
Zu max potential isn't high enough to be a starting center the Clippers need to win a nba championship
That's is not true
Zu would be a tremendous backup on a chip contender. I think this league is a perimeter oriented league, 1 thru 5. A stretch 5 that has playmaking ability is where teams are now. The traditional big era has been over since the 2010’s. We have trouble with guys like Wemby, Chet, Jokic, Porzingas, just to name a few
jokic dominates on the INTERIOR first
Zubac has been solid during his time with the Clippers, If we planning on keeping him around long term we need athletic big to back him up Kai Jones or James Wiseman fit the bill
Zu is just like the Clippers last season, there were good and bad and you still have no idea which was the real team
I think I know who Zu is as a player
We need to trust in Zu.. He has the ability to be an above average center for us. I believe we should have an athletic big as a backup tho.. to switch it up against different looks and schemes. He is still one of the traditional skillet bigs left in the game and he has shown to be successful when we low him to go to work .. Keep Zu and let's look at his backup(s) coming off the bench.
Zu is 100% the center the Clippers should build around moving forward. Like you mentioned, he is a highly efficient post player; almost every time he posts up, its free throws or that hook/push shot. He hasnt won any big time accolades, so we can keep him for a long time on a cap friendly contract! If Clippers retool/blow it up, he’ll already have great chemistry with Bones, Kai Jones, T Mann, BBJ, etc.
Agree, Zu ain’t a piece to get you a chip, obviously problem is Clippers stuck for years with what they have.
Hot take… no, not because he is bad, but because he is a traditional center and in the west there more centers that can do more than camp out in the paint
With his performance last yr he’ll definitely garner some attention if they were willing to include him in a trade
"Well... HOW You Gonna Do Any Better than Zu ??"
I think Zubac and Mann should be coming off the bench but we don't have the players or depth to have better starters to take their spot.
For Zubac we need a more athletic center with better hands for passes from Harden and especially Westbrook. I'd also wish he had a foul line jumper.
And for Mann we need a better 3 and D guy that's bigger and a more confident shooter.
Maybe just me but I would rather have Hartenstein. He really impressed me this season with the Knicks.
We had hartenstein we let him go for John wall
I’m still mad we let him go! We need a new GM
Can we trade Frank, maybe?
Idk why people like frank so much, it’s time to move on new GM asap
I think if the team brings back Kawhi, PG, and Harden then Zu is probably the right starting center for The Clippers.
I would adjust the starting lineup by going big if Zu is the starting center.
I would add a power forward, shift Kawhi and PG to the 2 and 3, and give Mann, Bones, and Powell the reserve unit.
I've looked around the nba rosters a bit and i'm not certain who The Clippers could trade for, that would be a great fit at power forward?
If Kawhi, PG, Harden, and Zu are clear starters, that leaves: Mann, Bones, Tucker, Powell, and maybe Kobe Brown as tradeable pieces to upgrade the power forward position.
Personally i don't think a team with that type of star trio can afford to go into the season with Kai Jones and Kobe Brown as starting options but another way to look at it is, with 3 huge mega stars on the team, maybe they should be able to carry a young role player?
That would allow the team to continue developing youngsters rather than signing more older vet min type players.
Tough decisions!
We need a more athletic starting center. Kai Jones hopefully will see action.
Zu is an above average starting centre in the current league so yes his our guy.
The clippers just need to draft a high flying centre in the 2nd round and make him DJ no.2😂
why not, he is better then kevon looney lol
Make a video about trade options and pg opt In and trade scenarios
trade options like concocting fake trades? the opt in and trade is all on PG
@@LockedOnClippers yes
@@LockedOnClippers yes create some mock trades for pg or for the team like Norman powell
Zu needs to stay he's solid i agree they should 100% go to him more in the paint and get some easy buckets he should be averaging maybe like 14-18 points easy. Ty is tripping
Steven adams is in Houston
this past season
I think some fans see him more than what he is. He’s a serviceable big who in my opinion, should have his value raised so he can be flipped for assets. Like Mann, these dudes are good role players who probably would be great off the bench players for a title contender.
He’s not a real center and he have not proven nothing he is very clumsy
lol
It is true
Clippers needs a power forwards and real center
No he is at best the 15-20th best center. That’s not good enough. The game is changing. A lot of centers can shoot 3s.
Also can we admit how unbelievably soft he was defensively in the playoffs? He was physically dominated by gafford and rookie lively.
The only reason Zu looked above average this year was because of James hardens elite picks and roll. He made Capela look like a future star for years
With that being said clips should keep him and give him his extension. He has improved every year. Unless we can get Naz Reid then zu is here to stay
f 3s they're trivial relative to defense and rebounding
Yes he is we jus need a Is reliable back up and PF that can do all of the dirty work zu and Tmann Untouchable
Theis lowkey can guard smaller players and don’t mind beeing on the bench he is always smiling I would keep him but also I would bring Jonas valanciunas theis would be the 3rd big
I miss Mosses Brown. Dude could've been a good backup with more length
He played too soft
@@scrapperd7827 He could still be a bench player for cheap, more of a vertical threat and he was an efficient scorer/lob threat. Isn't really a difference between Theis and Plumlee
Moses Brown look confused at times soft as hell. He got potential just don’t have that dog mentality
@@jaylenenglish9840 And the Clippers suck at developing potential
lol
Lowzy zubac sa rebound and depense in rim
Zubac isnt the issue was team management awareness bring back Kawhi, after no practice & missing 8 games + Kawhi, when the team was in a rhythm & better flow. They could as least had him come off the bench the 2 games he played.
Zubac, Powell and kawhi. That’s it the rest can go. Tmann want to get paid but I would rather pay OG anunobi
My opinion zu is a good center ! But they dont run any plays for him ! How can he be happy ! And at least hes a team player ..if everybody else was playing like they should play ..nobody would have a problem with him ! ...thats why the Clippers should of never got rid of Hertenstien maybe Clippers should try to make a trade for DeAndre aiken !
It’s an obvious no. But honestly I’ve always loved that he plays every game. Just this season was the first time he missed games since we got him in that trade. He’s a solid backup at this point. But this team needs a more athletic center rim protector. Zu is a great pick and roll center. But this team needs a better starter.
Not a lot of options available
I’d like to see what Kai jones can bring but doubt Lou plays him. I think the only way we upgrade at center has to be a trade
@@gooseallie4417I don’t really see a point in upgrading center though. We can make up for his weaknesses by just better defense and length. Especially at the 4.
@@andreslancheros2863you are someone who actually watches our team, get zu some help they expect him to contest and get boards
Ultimately we have to get younger more athletic and better defensively. If we keep zu and bring in a better defensive guard and forward that would be huge.
I'm no basketball expert but I don't think 5 out means you can only stay behand the 3 point line players are still expected to cut or crash the boards in certain situations
Have you seen how stagnant these offenses are
To build a championship team just keep zubac, kawhi and Powell. Like tmann and coffey gotta go because let’s say OG anunobi and Caruso comes in, tmann and coffey feels entitled because they been in the team a long time that’s bad cause the better players that are coming will feel uncomfortable if they don’t play over tmann and Russ it will have beef between guys like tmann, Coffey Brandon Boston they feel like they deserve to play but OG anunobi is way better so everybody gotta go just Powell and zubac should stay
Lebron, Ingram, kawhi, Zubac and Caruso. That’s enough size and athleticism. Lebron helps zubac in the paint. Kawhi don’t need to help a lot in the paint anymore, even Caruso and Ingram can grab some rebounds , kawhi can be the first guy to run in the fast break so zubac don’t need to run a lot . Lebron full court pass to kawhi dunk .
Ivica when he feels like it he plays well but when he doesn't want to give 100 percent then he plays like trash and it's true
Zu is great but he is starting to struggle against younger faster 4s and 5s now
not rally
@@LockedOnClippers like Dallas, Minnesota, they all have bigs that can rim run a lot faster that Zu can but Zu is a lot stronger and skilled than them
@@LockedOnClippersbut also I agree, he's easily a top 5 big in the league and it's not his fault the other 3 guys aren't available or can't perform
Clippers starting to get old!!!!
Vubac not a real center
