My late father Stanley Kramer worked with Faye Dunaway. .She has long been a role model actress of mine. on 'Oklahoma Crude" which he directed/produced. Faye wrote nice memories about him in her autobiography. Looking forward to seeing FAYE on HBO.
I too look forward to watching this doc. BTW, I loved your father’s work. Judgment at Nuremberg is an incredible film. Saw it at a young age and it left such an impression on me. Respect to your late father. May he rest in peace. 🙏🏻
She actually allowed Sharon Stone to watch her photoshoot but told her to stay out of her eye line. This was their first meeting before they became friends.
Stone cold legend of the screen and my fave actress of all time. Bonnie & Clyde, Chinatown, Network, Barfly and the vastly underrated Mommie Dearest. Faye rules!!
her role as Joan Crawford in Mommie Dearest was an unintentional laugh riot. she will always regret taking the role that sidelined her career and made her the queen of camp
*_Loooong_** overdue and cannot wait to watch. Whatever shortcomings she might have as a person interests me little. However, her **_use_** of those shortcomings to deliver dazzling, complex and riveting performances have earned my admiration and respect.* 🏆
She is absolutely one of the most iconic and charismatic character actresses of all times. My definite favorite! She takes the acting to another level ! An incredible artist!
OMG !! What did the Surgeons do to her Face ?? The once so incredible beautiful Woman. Itˋs not only the Age. She can hardly speak clearly, probably caused by bad Surgery. But the Documentation is surely amazing. Fond to see it. One of her best Films ever was Network.
I hope this isn’t a vanity project. She is interesting for her talent and magnetic personality as much as for her ego, her complexity, insecurities and flaws. That infamous voice mail of her screaming at a TV biography fluff show producer about how she’d be portrayed was a window into what makes her so human and interesting. I just hope this film isn’t more of the same fluff.
@WeberWeberstown-s7m her career was already in decline before MD but the film certainly didn't help. she had also developed a reputation for being a pain-in-the-ass on set. i'm not a rocket scientist but i'm guessing that's the reason she never had a hit, nobody wanted to work with her.
Faye Dunaway was a fine, dramatic actor back in the old years, commencing from the 70's or was it late 60's, when she starred in such hits as Mommie Dearest [biopic on the life of Joan Crawford], China Town with Nicholson, Bonnie & Clyde [a super-hit] with Warren Beatty and, the last film I saw of hers was 'The eyes of Laura Mars', where her character is clairvoyant. No, I haven't read her autobiography, but I would love to if I can lay my hands on a copy.
She never had surgery. Those are her real cheekbones in those movies. Now she has filler(injectables) under and around the eyes but other than that, that’s her real face.
00:26 I disagree. Sure, you see Faye Dunaway playing Joan Crawford, but Faye Dunaway IS Joan Crawford played by Faye Dunaway. It's her actual self. And it's too bad this won't tell us much because Faye is still alive and I'm sure she's already warned all involved: "DON'T F*CK WITH ME, FELLAS!"!
@@gnostic268 Bette was fine as long as you showed up on time and had done your homework. Faye kept cast and crew waiting while she 'prepared' - i'm going with Ms. Davis on this one.

I adored her and her strong characters. Her portrayal in Mommy Dearest was so profound and convincing that it followed her throughout both her career and her persona. She lived, breathed and executed that part so exacting. This is not the Faye that was the most powerful. Her role in "Network", was her masterpiece.
I was going to say= I"m as Mad as Hell and I'm not going to take it anymore", but that was Howard Beale's Line, not hers. Her line was This Year= we are No. 2, Next year=WE will be number 1. We're, Number One, WE're Number One. I saw Network in the Movie Theaters when it first came out in 197 last Century when I was a Kid. That Movie was so way, way ahead of its time that it is Incredible.

Violent? Notice they never say WHERE she "slapped" the person? Maybe on the arm? Hand? I doubt very much she is violent. I know many people who worked with her. I never heard the that word used.
She should have learned from Patty Duke and VALLEY OF THE DOLLS. She learned to embrace the film and it endeared her to many more fans. Faye should do this so that it would make her appear more human instead of making her look like a violent, unforgiving narcissist.

The SNL coffee commercial skit about Faye Dunaway was really funny…surprising, too, cuz that show has not had many funny moments over recent years.

Fell in love with Faye Dunaway on Bonnie and Clyde! One of the greatest film stars of my lifetime.
