Do you guys prefer the mid-size ships more, or the larger/newer ones?? Stay tuned! We have 3 more videos coming up! Next week is Costa Maya, followed by Cozumel and finally the big "Entertainment and activities at sea" video!
I just wish you guys would mention the deck number more often. I’m going to the same ship in 3 months and I just wanted to know where everything was located right away. But,thanks it was informative
Unfortunately not to our knowledge - they do provide a laundry service that includes ironing. In the closet there will be a garment bag that you can put some clothes into and you can either leave it for your attendant and they'll return it the following day, I believe, or you can call and have it picked up. Hope that helps!
That's an awesome story, thanks for sharing! The first ship we went on together was the Majesty of the Seas, which is no longer around sadly. Have you guys been back on the Voyager since?
Glad you enjoyed our vlog! The sail away party is always one of my favorites. My dress was ordered online from Express a couple of years ago. Thank you :)
Great question! We really like the 5:30pm seating. At home, we eat dinners late around 8-9pm, but 5:30pm on a cruise is perfect because there's so much to do afterwards. It's a less busy seating so the first Royal Theater show at 7pm is never packed (even on a fully booked ship like this cruise was, we had zero issue finding seats). And then you have the rest of the evening to enjoy whatever you'd like. If you get hungry later, the promenade Cafe has great pizza or quick bites (normally a rotation of small sandwiches). We haven't done a 7:30pm seating and don't intend on ever doing so - every time we get done with dinner there's always massive lines of people - seems more chaotic around that time. Hope that helps!
So it wasn't very clear, but our best understanding from what we were told is that for tax related reasons, RCL provides a limited bar menu while in Galveston. It was still a pretty extensive menu still and we had no problem getting the drinks we wanted. But they opened up the full bar when we got out to sea. Great point to bring up though!
@@VeronicaRyanVideos so you were not charged for the drinks and it was from the drink package? That’s the only reason why I don’t buy the package because i thought I couldn’t use the first day. I know on carnival i can’t. Hmmm I’ll look into the price since there’s a sale currently going on. I’ll be on the voyager in November ☮️💖🛳️
Yup! Our first drink was before we got our seapass cards so we went up to the bar and the bartender just asked for our room number, saw in the system we have the unlimited drink package, and just mentioned they had a limited drink menu until we left Galveston. All drinks while in Galveston were included in the unlimited drink package. Sounds like Carnival just avoids the issues altogether and doesn't serve drinks under the unlimited package at port in Galveston, so definitely can see why you'd think the same applies for Royal. TABC/Texas state laws makes things a bit confusing - who knows! lol. Definitely worth it though, especially if you can get it for around $65/per person per day. Sounds like a great time to go! Hope you have fun, it's a great ship!
@@VeronicaRyanVideos thank you for the fast response and clarification! I can’t wait to see the next video! I heard they don’t have the hidden deck to see the captain view like adventure of the seas. (I was on 4 day Adventure of the seas last November) I can’t wait to go on the sister ship! The older ships have a certain charm and decor that I absolutely love. I’d like to go on the newer allure too!
You are way better off just flying to your destination and stating in a hotel or going to a resort. You think the cruise is cheaper but it is far more expensive, crowded and crumby
But on a cruise you get to stop at different ports. Your vacation includes more than one destination. And you really feel like you are on vacation. It's just the best! 🧳🚢🍽🍹
Right? Navigator is still so fresh on our minds from being on it last year, it was a bit surreal being on the Voyager since it's so similar. Though nitpicky, the Navigator felt just a bit more polished and modern. Both great ships though.
Worst vacation ever on that ship. Half the toilets don't work so if you need to go to the restroom most the time you will wind up having to go all the way back to your room or wait in line forever. The wait to ride the slide was 45 minutes long due to them only having 1 out of 2 operational then when you do get to ride it you have to physically scoot yourself all the way down it. Those pools are very tiny, made for maybe 5 or 6 people in each. When you get out there its so crowded there is not 5 sqft to swim in. Everything is an advertisement everywhere you look, they even call the room non stop trying to sell you stuff and you cant unplug the phone. Some of this was just bad luck, like being on there with over 1000 kids onboard helped completely ruined the experience. Good luck getting food when 200 teenagers are just standing in front of all the buffets doing nothing. Everywhere is over crowded. The excursions are not worth doing at all. You start off in the morning for the 1.5 hour wait to get off the boat itself not to mention the multiple lines you will wait in to get to where your excursion is taking place. We did a dolphin encounter and it was 1.5 hours to get off the ship, then we waited 30 minutes in a taxi, then we waited 30 minutes for a locker, then after that another 45 minutes to get our life jackets and then the last line was on the pier to get to our spot. all that time miserably waiting sucked the fun right out of it. After your done its nothing but trying to sell you over and over. 140 dollars for a few pictures then the tour guide starts trying to sell cheap jewelry. Then they want tips for what you already paid for. The whole walk back your harassed by every shop keeper there to buy buy buy. There is nothing enjoyable about it. When you get back to the ship it is just more of the same. Every time you turn around its someone trying to sell you a 500 dollar massage or a 400 dollar knock off purse or an 300 dollar bottle of perfume you can pick up online for 20 bucks. The shows were not great and all over crowded. The ice skating show had no room, I managed to get a spot where I could see but then people showed up and completely blocked my view of the entire performance. They purposely force you to walk through the casino to get to shows, so if your not interested in gambling its thrown in your face and if you are interested in gambling there are a thousand people walking through the casino your trying to have fun in going to other places periodically. The food was not great, the "my time" dinner was ok though it took forever and left you hungry afterwards. The pizza at the cafe is worst pizza on earth and the drinks all around the ship are very weak for 4-8x the amount you would pay in a bar. They do have beer but tend to run out rapidly. We went 2 months ago for a 5 day cruise and thanks to this ship we will never cruise again. I spent like 450$ on extras with my sea pass but when I got home they added an additional 1753$ of unauthorized charges. Ive spent nearly a day on the phone and they will not refund it. I want my money back do NOT go on this ship!!

dude do you ever shut the hell up and let your wife talk?
We are sailing on Voyager of the Seas next July from Venice, Italy to Barcelona Spain. Thanks for this informative video.
What camera gear you guys use. Looks amazing
I'll be on there in Monday. My first cruise I'm so excited
You’re gonna have a blast!!
We miss it already, you're going to have a great time. Enjoy!
How was your experience? mine was horrible
Great video! Thank you! 👏🏻👏🏻
Was just on the SOTS and I can say I enjoy the ships with windows and a view more. Big is nice, but not always better
Great video!
We're going on Voyager in December, this ship tour made me even more excited! haha
That's awesome! What ports are you guys going to? Glad the video made you that much more excited, the Voyager was really great fun!

11:48 Airball!!!! LOL
It was the ship that made me fall in love with cruising. It wasn't only my first cruise ship, but I met my girlfriend on her.

@@VeronicaRyanVideosgoing back October. Just confirmed 😁
@@VeronicaRyanVideos Oh wow! My first and only cruise was on Majesty of the Seas! So fun!
Love the vlog! Now I have an idea of the sail away party. Also random question, where is her white dress from? It’s so pretty!
Glad you enjoyed our vlog! The sail away party is always one of my favorites. My dress was ordered online from Express a couple of years ago. Thank you :)
We have this same room booked. Did you like the balcony? Wish it was glass so you could see the water when sitting out there.
I will be going on that cruise on October 2nd
We are hoping to be on this ship next month. Looking for a recommendation for dinner - 5.30 or 7.30pm?

My recommendation is stay away from that ship entirely. Its old and not much works on it.
We will be on VOTS Sep 23rd, 5 night. Paid for a spacious balcony, Key and DBP. Put in for a Royal Up, no confirmation yet.
I am so sorry. I hope your experience is better than ours was.
I thought the drink package can’t be used the first day out of Galveston 🤔

Eerily similar to the navigator in. California
