1:09:20 TMP you need to be within, not wholly within. Your closest point can't be more than 12" away, your furthest point can be as far as your unit size/shape allows.
Travel mystical pathways definitely let's you do the very strong "end to end" teleport The game is played with "partially within" by default. If it wasn't, then my Ambushers could show up behind you 1" away because the center of their unit was not "within" 8 inches. Your bows would have to be within 24" from the center of the target (instead of just the closest model) It's always measured from tip to tip of one unit to another
20:46 UHMM, akshually, bretonnjan warhorses are the descendants of elven horses from former elf colonies in the old world - technically not “human” horses 🤓
Another episode I enjoyed, thanks chaps. Never thought I'd be in a position to enjoy listening to three aussies* talk about war-dolllies for over two hours?! *apologies if there are some non-aussies on the show, typical Brit here who cant tell the difference.
Just to help with some miscellany: Iain is the original Scottish spelling of Ian (anglicised version). Probably still the more common spelling in Scotland. Both are from John of course. Hammer (horror) was a British horror film company. If you've ever seen a horror film with Peter Cushing (Star Wars) and Christopher Lee (Saruman) in it then it was probably Hammer. Burloksson is of course Burlok's son so Burlok is the father (would like to think you got there eventually!). Always enjoy your stuff!
@@JoshCrouch-zl4pd I was still hopeless at the quiz, think I did better on last week's one... On more Warhammery things I really don't like what I'm hearing about enormous blocks of teleporting archers or poison shooting skellies. Disappointing if people are talking that up as a positive development that means you don't have to take dragons/Brets or whatever. Also a bit disappointed that Andrew's ramblings didn't make me feel any closer to working out how a Slayer hero might actually be useful. He didn't seem to feel he getting much closer himself for that matter. Enjoyed the show though!
@@ClydeMillerWynant yeah I was hoping there is something im missing with the demon slayers to give them a decent chance of killing a big mounted monster in combat. But sadly it seems not.
Mate I agree for sure, this kind of development is massively concerning for the game. It is as a direct result of the dominance of dragons that really weird builds like that would come into existence, but to me it does not represent the type of army structure warhammer should be about at all.
@@NewyDad8076 I find the Dwarf heroes pretty frustrating all round, partly due to rules and partly due to models. I would much rather run a demon slayer or dragon slayer than a doomseeker, I'm not really a fan of the new points mechanic and don't like the doomseeker models, but I can't see any real sense in doing anything other than proxying my favourite old berserker or slayer models as doomseekers. I have thought about just running a cheap dragon slayer with an extra hand weapon with a pretty limited role, but not confident I'll get anything out of him. As soon as I think about runing them up I find myself asking why I'm not spending the points buying similar runes for more survivable characters. That then brings us on to the Thanes and/or King and it's so hard to see past having to put them on shieldbearers. So many great models that I have (and plenty of others I would like) for Dwarf Lords on foot and no reason to use any of them. I find the shieldbearers concept silly and greatly dislike the models (old and new). Of course this sort of thing isn't just a Dwarf problem - hardly anyone else has got much reason to run any of their heroes on foot either, but most of them are at least getting more out of them than we are and have more options that make sense for what they can do. I think I'm going to end up getting a couple of large bases and putting four of my favourite dwarfs on each of them as a lord with his retinue and a BSB with the same and saying they count as shieldbearers even though nobody's on a shield. And then my 'counts as' doomseekers to go with them.
On the back of the mention about 3D printing chat feedback. It's interesting to hear what can be done with a 3D printer, how much you can customise stuff (size, variation etc.), the sheer volume of prints you can do. However, listening to the minutia of what supports it needs, what mix of resin you're using, what setting your have your base plate on... is really fucking boring for those (majority?) of us not into 3D printing. It seems like your latest casts have picked up on that and there isn't huge detailed chat about those aspects, which is great. Just thought i'd mention it for those of us who are quietly suffering through those 😄 Regarding the huge blocks of poison skellies - it's already here! SBOT 2.0 went live this week and there are three Royal TK Hosts with 120-180 skellies in a unit + characters. You can see the lists on Newrecruit (you have to go into each individual pod (there are 8 pods) to find those lists but just look for the icon on the players) but they're all in the same theme. Would be interesteding to hear your thoughts on this trend.
You give us too much credit! I suspect the only difference is gommo isn't asking me as many 3d printing questions any more 😆. Your feedback is noted tho. If those extra massive blocks do become a thing, that is not a thing I want to be a part of. We probably can and will discuss neck week!
@@JoshCrouch-zl4pd Yeah, I agree, it's not a fun trend that's for sure. It might just be a blip and who knows, maybe SBOT 2.0 will prove that this is just a fad but as we have already seen IRL event with 90+ Gobbos win an event, folk might begin to pay attention. On that note, I played a Warhall game today against someone who listened to your cast discuss this Gobbo Blob list and decided to run it out. So THANKS for promoting that.. 😄😄
@@JoshCrouch-zl4pd Here's hoping. Meta and counter-meta lists are an interesting topic. Always trying to guess what you're likely to face at an event and building with that in mind or just taking the strongest build into all-comers? Lots of ways to do it.
I have trashed more models than I would want to count. I just can’t stand being wrong. I have never stripped a nonmetal model well enough to be willing to paint it again.

Comment for the comment god!
Also during the discussion on the printed greenskins I thought Josh said "Night Gommos" for a moment there :D

As long as no one minds the fluffy godzilla Maisie getting in the way...

Yes thank you glimmer 😆. I chose not to acknowledge this when painting!!
If your model goes cloudy from a matt varnish you can jusy spray gloss on top and try again

In 3ed, Wood Elves we’re said to ride roan and dappled horses. (Warhammer Armies)
And does Andrew have a Wood Elf shield on the wall behind him?! That's almost grudge worthy...
Skiing, horses, warhammer… surely gommo is some kind of oil tycoon or drug kingpin to finance these kinds of hobbies!
